Hello together! I’ve been driving a V50 D5 with the 5Gang Geartronic (2008) since April. Actually, the problem is also the problem, because I’m already bothered by the delayed gas intake. Is somehow not harmonious in some situations. So here too with tuning dealt with and quickly came to the conclusion: Not necessarily recommended! 🙂 Remember that with my 2WD, when I step on it, the front drive is already in great trouble. The 4WD has definitely easy to get the engine power on the road! In the bay a pedal box S3 bought and connected. GEIL! 🙂 What should I say, fits perfectly to D5 + 5Gang Geartronic! In ECO mode finally runs to match the engine power! Perfect! (driving a lot in the urban area) Have also tried Sport+ and there he makes at the smallest touch of the accelerator: Wild Sau! Drives in all stages like a completely different car with clearly more performance. Conclusion: Is a real recommendation for this special car! Greetings Frank

Addinol for Volvo V50 2.0D?
With my V50 2.0D Bj 2006 (135,000Km) there is an oil change again. Unfortunately I totally forgot which oil I had bought the last time. I only know that it was one of Addinol. I tried the oil finder on the Addinol homepage now which proposes the following oils: ADDINOL SAE 5W-30 Premium 0530 C1 = 27€ ADDINOL SAE 5W-30 Mega Power MV 0538 C2 = 31€ ADDINOL SAE 5W-30 Premium 0530 FD= 29€ This is recommended here in the forum: Addinol Super Power MV 0537 FD 5W 30 = 35€ The prices are from my online search for 6l each, but do not play a big role the differences are rather small. Which of them should I take? The upper 3 have all ne Ford or PSA release the lower only one of BMW and VW. Earlier on my Golf 3 only the viscosity had to be right, since even the cheapest DIY oil was enough…today that is almost ne science looking forward to your tips.

Suddenly very high diesel consumption Volvo v50 2.0d
Hello together, I’ve had a super high consumption for a week now. When starting up, there is a current consumption of over 50 l on the display. When rolling (i.e. 4-6 gear) and 50 kmh there is a consumption of 20 l on the display. I thought it was due to the regeneration of the DPF but that can’t take place all the time now for almost a week, right? I’ve been driving with my already over 100,000 km and the problem now. I’ve always driven the car with an average of 6.3 l in summer and 6.6 l in winter. Now the consumption is on average 8.9 l. Something’s wrong, isn’t it? Do you have a tip for me before I have to go back to the workshop?

Infotainment system in V50 fails
Hello together, since about 1 week my infotainment in the Volvo from time to time passed the function. Hot lighting and e.g. radio worked but you could not set anything more, operated. After about 2 days everything was dark, like if there is no power on it, the steering wheel operation, e.g. for Navi also does not work. Today the lighting again burns but otherwise nothing comes on the display. Also an operation is not possible. fuses exchanged, they were, it is not. i Volvo to ask if the problem is known to remedy it. Statement no, you have to go to troubleshooting. I’d like to look at it myself first, someone has a tip for me. A guide on what I need to expand where to check. Would be great.

Finally the old car is scrapped!!! V50 2,0 Diesel
Hello, my story about the V50: this was my first v50 and will also have been my last volvo! I bought the v50 in June 2013. it was bj 2004 and had 216,000 km down. volvo I had actually always connected with durability, missed. it then started in the january that he lost direction and so drove as if he did without turbo, which the ignition lock also his service qiuttierte he had to volvo. there the ignition lock was changed and a cable repaired! cost 350€ then again and again sporadically in between starting difficulties. in november then the warning “motor system maintenance required. so again workshop, with the result that the magnet valve has given up its mind. there is according to volvo only as a complete unit with, I forgot what, cost point 1500€ but still luck had the the laborstat the valve could find individually. thus cost points of the entire repair:500€ next problem did not wait for long: May 2015 oil loss. so new oil tank gasket and since the shock absorbers were also changed by! juli then no power assumption with stutters and run out of the engine. on it 3 injectors were changed and again the magnet valve:cost point 1500€ that was then but then not the end of the banner bar, in between when it was cold no gas acceptance! and then on the last Saturday, with the car was shopping, and wanted to go an hour later! how sat I could but not. dare ran like a bag of nuts, and went out. end was towed into the factory and the diagnosis was not interested in me anymore! but the agr valve should be now! however, it doesn’t matter, since I need a car for my way to work we have ordered a vw now. and thus the volvo starts his last drive today and arrives tomorrow then in the press!!! with the volvo I really got off for the first time and only got annoyed! to the many money ha The volvo also cost us a lot of nerves!

Climate compressor possibly defective: original part or cheap product?
Hello, you’ve probably heard and treated it a thousand times: V50, 2.4 140Ps Benziener Bj 2004 140,000 Km climate works about 10 minutes – then it stops abruptly and goes back the next day. The free person changed the temperature sensor – he cools over an hour – when driving still only 10 minutes. Now he says: Compressor is probably defective then. Magnet couplings exchange individually he advises (why always off) Now the question: Do you know the problem au s? How would you proceed? Are there possibly new compressors from cheap manufacturers (under 300 €) or are they not advisable to install? The car is just a bit older and I didn’t want the Mega Premium climate solution now… Thank you for your ideas/opinions on this arduous topic.

Total failure electronics
Hello guys, I’m facing the following problem: I left the job today and the engine was already a bit suspicious. Especially at low speed my heard a bright whirring or howling from the engine compartment. When I arrived I opened the bonnet, the alternator steamed properly. It clearly smelled like burnt oil and plastic. In a slight rush of panic then I tipped some water over the alternator. The part was boiling hot. But from the outside the alternator looks good. No signs of broken parts on the engine (from the outside). When I put the key into the lock nothing happened. With nothing I mean nothing at all, no lights, no movement, even on the 2nd and 3rd stroke of the lock. Can anyone say what that could be!? I thought that the mass cable of the battery could be loose, but there was nothing to find. Could it be that of the belt broken bz w. is emptied and therefore the howling noises came. Through the water I then triggered a short circuit and now nothing is happening anymore? Would I be happy about helpful tips! thank you already in advance

Conversion of front fog lamps to daytime running light C70II completed, question about
Hello together, I changed my fog lights in 2014 for daytime running light. This exchange includes, among other things, the exchange of the light combi switch, which then no longer has the fog lights button. In addition, the daytime driving LEDs must be programmed in the software. Now my question: since the daytime driving LEDs don’t light when the headlights are switched on, but I would like to have both lights, since already with many today’s vehicles so, one could still have the previous light scarf Then you could switch the daytime running light manually, right? Does anyone know about it? Thanks and greetings….
