  • Passed-through clutch slips away while steering

    Hi guys, I’ve had the Volvo S40 II 91000km on my watch for a month now. Unfortunately, I’ve already invested a lot. The timing belt had to be done, which I knew when I bought it. Unfortunately, the servo pump + pressure hose leaked… at least the workshop said so. It all cost me 1000€ together. Now the following problem has also occurred since the latest. When I turn in for bending and the clutch enters it feels as if there was no problem. rde the clutch under foot slightly slip away is to a certain point where it can no longer continue. What can that be? Does someone have an idea?

  • high performance sound mp3 cd or usb retrofit alternative

    Moin… I have a c30 ez.12/2007 and according to FIN mj08 and in this is a “high performance sound” system installed. I have an aux input in the middle armrest and use this in the moment to listen to mp3 via mobile. Now it is quite cumbersome and I want to listen and control mp3 via usb/cd on the radio direct. As far as I am informed, my radio mp3 would have to be able to play via CD. But does it not start from me unknown. Now to my question: Why does my radio not play mp3-cd? W he I can upgrade usb and what did it cost? (No ipod and no Bluetooth needed)

  • C30 does not start

    Hello professionals, my partner drives a C3 136PS automatic diesel. The car has always been in service until today, but today he simply didn’t want to start. When starting the car it only makes once crack … and then nothing more. Try again, the same result. After repeated attempts he does not make any more crack. At first I thought that the battery was empty, but one of Volvo’s mechanic had even connected two batteries (as a whole 24V) and he has been m not to start the race – he said that the starter might have to be replaced.     Moin. I read here that you can change the “small 278mm” disks for the “larger 320mm” disks. Only other coverings would be necessary!? How can this work? The saddles would have to move further outwards!? Can someone clarify this?

  • C70 II with 205/50 R17

    Hello, two years ago I bought a used C70 II, BJ 2008, 2.0D from the dealer with new TÜV, which is matured with original Volvo rims (I don’t know the name) and 205/50 R17 ( Adhesive Quadraxer 2). With the tires I am *very* satisfied to notice nothing of track groove sensitivity (as read here more often) and at high speeds it is really very good in the curves and driving is completely relaxed. Now TÜV was due and the examiner has the Rei Do I have any chance ? On some pages the dealers sell me exactly this tire size (and partly also brand) for this car, but I have found nothing that could soothe an inspector. If I have to bite in the sour apple and buy new rims: with which rims/tire combination would I have driving characteristics that come as close as possible to the current tire ? It should be all-year tires again, but would I prefer the mo mentane combination… Thank you very much! Hubert

  • how much mm can be widened?

    Hello dear Elch community, I need a few infos again, maybe one or the other one has something for me. I have on my V50 215/457ZR17 and behind me the tires sit too deep in the box and I don’t like that how that looks. Now I wanted to know how much mm can I make in without having to make troubles? Bördeln is absolutely out of the question for me. Maybe someone already has track spreaders inside??? If so where can I get them in the www at what price??? If I find Google I’m sure I want to buy something but if there where someone can recommend. In front have right hearty thanks gruss Attila

  • Volvo V50 D2.0 Built 07 DPF clean

    The following problem: The workshop wants the DPF to be changed, which should do far more than 1000€ in total. Now I have researched something and found out that cleaning the DPF should be enough for the time being or could save costs. The question only arises to me, how to get to this DPF and how to clean it best and what to take into account. I am very grateful about helpful answers.   • Sales frustration Volvo V50 🙁

    People what am I doing wrong? My V50 wants to have a new owner because the V70 is at the door the next days. The desired price was at the beginning (VB) 7,850 EUR and yesterday I reduced it to 7,000 EUR. Three wanted to visit the V50 and 2 canceled before and from the third I never heard again what give me please tips what I do wrong. Thanks & Greetings Georg

  • C30 injection nozzle defective after 9700km, no culant!

    Dear people, it’s to cry!! I stayed on the AB last week, engine stuttered, no more gas, just saved me from the left on the side stripes, the ADAC then towed me over the Volvo Assistance. The Volvo dealer attested a broken injection nozzle, 890.- Tacken, no culant, because the car is 3 years and 4 months old. Neither the workshop to which he was towed, nor their sister workshop where I bought it, were also only to a pro zent ready to trade with you! I’m totally appalled about how to be treated as a customer at Volvo!! Unfortunately I didn’t get further through the hotline in Cologne, I hung in the waiting loop in 3 days about 6 hours!! I have already filled out the form provided there, only none of Volvo’s messages By the way, it’s the third time that I stayed on the AB, once wg soot particle filter and once wg no one knew… the car is I was always waiting for Volvo, the last one was 8 weeks ago…. So I picked up the car again today, paid and that was it. That was my first new car, my first (and last!) Volvo. I sell it as soon as possible again! (You are welcome to ask!). I can’t do anything for driving only a little by car… I was told that I should drive more, then a part of it wouldn’t break either, isn’t it outrageous?? I’ve already driven many car brands , Mercedes, Alfa, Lancia, BMW, but that’s never happened to me before. Have you had similar experiences? Can I do anything afterwards? I’m soooo stinking mad

  • Volvo S40 – lowering (Eibach 25mm) and painted brake calipers

    Hello together, recently finally let my S40 lay deeper and the day before yesterday painted the brake calipers. To lower down I can say that it was definitely worth it!!! Used 25mm Eibach springs, which have meanwhile set themselves on 30mm. From the driving feeling it is nice tight, but definitely still super comfortable. Visual looks now much better, fits great to the car and the rims! Not too deep, not too high, exactly my taste Have also directly I used the Foliatec set in black, because the saddles were covered with rust. Now looks nice clean and very discreet again, just as I wanted it to be. Since I had previously “holed” some people with questions about lowering, I wanted to say thank you in this way for the fact that they had to be able to get the best possible results. with a few more pictures!
