Hello together, when I took off the engine cover for the first time in a long time on the weekend to take a look below, there was an unpleasant surprise: a rodent has torn a decent hole (about 10 cm2) into the yellow foam lining of the cover – the whole engine block was full of yellow crumbs! In addition, the foam was torn off by some of its hot-killed fastening points, so that the yellow mat now hangs down in some places. Must woh l has happened due to the slowly crumbling material in old age plus the pulling and pulling of the nest material thief. Does anyone have an idea whether you can replace this foam somehow, or do I need a completely new cover to restore the original condition? Have I looked for what a new original cover costs… not cheap. Best regards, Matt

Volvo S40 2005 Bluetooth or Aux retrofit
Hello, I would like to retrofit a Bluetooth function in my vehicle. To my knowledge, the vehicle has installed the worst audio system, which only has a fiber optic connection. At least I was told that it is called that. It is not a facelift and therefore also has no aux connection. If you can just retrofit such a one, that would be right for me. And no, I don’t just want to put on FM transmitters. The car also has no cassette recorder. I am happy about every helpful comment.

Volvo C70 Cabrio diesel, 2011 / Engine in emergency run
Good evening, dear Volvo community, I drive a Volvo C70 convertible diesel, 2011 year, and 270,000 km mileage. For three weeks I have been carrying my Volvo from one workshop to another around Gelsenkirchen. The Volvo dealer could only offer me an appointment for KW 04/2025. However, I can’t wait that long. In the appendix the error list: The following components have already been replaced in this order, but the error is still there: Gas pedal engine control unit ASR-Ven til throttle valve Has anyone had similar problems? What helped? 🙂 Best regards, MehmeTmitTee

2004 Euro3 2.0D, performance problems
Hello guys, First of all, German is not my native language, I can read it well, but I don’t even make sentences myself. I wrote this in English, translated it and fixed the obvious bugs. Sorry for the ones that are still left. I disabled a 2004 Volvo S40 2.0D with 300000 km, no DPF, AGR. I’ve been doing it for four years and since I bought it, it felt pretty slow. It reacts slowly under 2000 rpm, then takes up to about 3000 rpm The fuel consumption is fine, no excessive smoke, no burning oil etc. During the pandemic I decided to get a Vida/DICE system and see if I can find the culprit. There are no performance-related error codes stored. The interesting thing is the operation of the turbo. I have attached a graphic below. Basically it starts to rise in every gear at 2000 RPM, builds up at 2300 RPM and v I have changed the 2 pressure converters and made sure that none of the vacuum hoses are leaking. Nevertheless, there is this strange behavior of the turbo. Does anyone have any idea what this might be about?

USB Bluetooth receiver
Hello together, I just recently bought a C30 and until now I’m really happy with the car. Now I’m looking for a solution to provide my radio with Bluetooth as easily as possible. I think I have the high performance variant and have both USB and AUX installed in my armrest. The problem is that my mobile phone (Android) cannot be read out via the USB interface, but I still like the steering wheel control for changing songs. My question is now whether there is a Bluetooth adapter, which is only controlled via USB, without additional AUX connection and can also be controlled with the steering wheel. Have you found something convincing in recent years, which does something like that? I hope I didn’t miss various threads now, but I couldn’t find anything really suitable.

V50 D5 Brakes “smoky” since changing the surface?
Moinsen together, Must unfortunately ask again in the round, after my D5 ran for quite a long time without murmuring: After current customer service with the friendly, among other things the brake pads were changed at the front… Problem since: The operation of the brake pedal is clearly “smoother” or softer than before. Where already quite at the beginning of the pedal path a rather crisp and defined pressure point was present now nothing the same! what’s going on since then, in the stand you can suddenly push it through almost completely without any significant resistance until back pressure comes – and I like that more than nothing! I have never experienced the latter before. Even with light rollers short tap and the box stood abruptly! But that was once. With “foreigners” the brake was therefore rather dreaded until then… In the friendly immediately quite unsettled, mechanic and master confirm my egg ndruck: “feeling funny” and “is not normal”. Everything checked; no air in the system, braking performance in order, no leaks, filling level o.k. etc. Rear brakes also checked immediately and (after the customer service!) found that they were somewhat difficult – was then fixed. Since the rear brakes were the only thing that could be found as “mistakes” and the braking feeling was then slightly better than before the troubleshooting was set. The brakes, however, are still far from reacting as crisp as before… And now finally my question: Has anyone ever experienced, seen, heard anything like that??? Does anyone have any reasonably plausible idea about it? I admit that the car is slowing down. However, in my eyes still not as usual – and among us: it just feels like…! Since this was completely different until the customer service, something must have changed in the meantime – but what? ?? Guess from the friendly one would still be that something could have changed in the composition of the (new) brake pads (compared to the old ones). For me little plausible… My guess that something could have changed with the recording of a software update, was rejected by the friendly one… Any ideas? I would like to return my “Bremsmonster” – with this “wacking pudding” I will not be happy! Thanks in advance for any suggestion!

Time and again loss of braking fluidity
Hello guys, maybe someone has had such a problem and has solved it or an idea: I have to refill my C30 again and again for 2 years, a total of certainly already 1.5 liters about. The thing is only, I don’t know where this remains. Brakes work normally, there are no leaky lines or connections, no moisture on the brake calipers, never even a drop under the car, no trace of the liquid!!! Where does it remain in God’s name?? Who Does it know? Greetings Nürburgring

“Decreased engine power”
Hello …today on the highway suddenly came an error message “Decreased engine power” and I couldn’t give any more gas! I drove immediately on the road and the ignition switched off and started again. The error message was gone and the engine power is back to normal! Do I have to watch in the garage or sometimes rather see if it happens again? Gruss and Merci Fabian

No power supply despite new charged battery
Hello together, I am completely on the hose and hope you have some ideas for me. Last (extended) weekend I was on my way and my volvo S40 2.0D and he drove without problems. To the way 250km (Do.). Friday and Saturday I drove routes of 30km without any starting difficulties. When I wanted to drive home Sunday, I could not even unlock the car with the radio remote control. The battery in the key was not, because even after manual closing it I thought the battery was over and called the ADAC. When I waited, I noticed that someone had taken the front left flank of my frog apron with me when I parked. In this accident escape, a park sensor was properly sanded off and the headlight glass also had a jump. I didn’t think about anything further at the moment. The ADAC finally had enormous problems to bridge the car. After 20 minutes he was finally on and we were able to drive the 250 km home. I ordered a new battery and installed it on Wednesday afterwards. The car jumped on 1 A and I went shopping. Everything no problem, but 3 days later I wanted to drive again on Friday and again the car is completely dead. Now I have removed the battery again to charge it and save it from the dead. But the charger ze I had ordered a multimeter to make further measurements. Does anyone have any idea what the problem might be? The old battery could have been over because of its age. But why is the new betterie not empty and yet the car is dead? And why could I drive right after the installation and not now? At first I thought it was just the battery, then I thought, a quiet consumer, but now I’m completely perplexed!!! Maybe you have experienced something similar or have had experiences with it. Thank you for your help! LG

V50 2.0D jerks lightly
Hello, after an extensive retreading I finally registered my Ez:11/2007 V50 2.0 diesel with 136 hp 2 weeks ago. Fz. ran 168,000 km. Unfortunately he jerks in the partial load range, if you drive e.g. at 30 or 50 km/h through a place and just keep the speed. History: Old engine was fixed and so I bought the V50. NoWe broke off the HD pump and the chunks have jammed the crankshaft. Now Citroën C5 motor with 170 tkm inside. Tooth belts, Wapu, Coupling, all seals, particle filters, 4x injectors etc. new. Runs top! Ruckles however. After commissioning: At the beginning the “normal” error search me- game,?? after such a large heart surgery.?? 1)AGR – error. AGR exchanged for a new quality and cleaned everything. Error away. 2)HFM error. HFM changed for used. Error fixed 3)Particle filter error with FIS error: motor system maintenance required. DDS exchanged and wires blown through. New Psrtikelfilter montie 4)Additive system error. Additively replenished and level reset. Error away. Conclusion: All errors searched, found and fixed. No more errors are displayed but it still jerks! After the new injectors were installed, the jerking decreased by approx. 70-80%. A small remainder has remained however. As described above. Has nothing to do with regeneration. Currently consumption remains at approx. 3-5 l/100 km. I still have the HD pump in the verd 8. Filters have been re-made. Air is no longer in the system if you do not have a small bubble in the transparent line. Does anyone have a tip for me? Thanks Greetings Thorsten
