Stability control, maintenance required, reduced engine power
Hello friends, I need your help. I am on the highway with my V50, 1,6 D, year 2008, 127000km. I managed 300km, must still 200. Everything normal, average 150, only new, have fueled some V-Power diesel, they had nothing else. Suddenly came 2 messages: stability control, maintenance required Reduced engine power. It was clearly noticeable that there was no power left. Stopped, with Volvo on the phone – I should keep driving. Now it was only 1 message – Vermin after a few kilometers, power as always, everything is fine. What was that? Do I have to worry? Will Tuesday to Volvo, gave 3 months of used car warranty. C70: Tyres, tires and always the tires….
Hi there, the topic was probably already once, but I wanted to cut it again. I now have the third C70, currently the D4, which is now about one year old. As always, the cars from Volvo -unfortunately – are delivered with Pirelli tyres. The tyres are now a total of maybe 20,000 km running and can no longer be endured. It is as if driving is crazy and the steering wheel is troubled that driving is not really fun. t. I have tried a lot of tires now – also with my previous models – already: Michelin, Firestone etc., but nothing was bearable in the long term. It seems to me that the C70 is a “tire destroyer”, why ever. But I’m pretty much on the cookie that I always have to buy new tires, although the old ones have not nearly driven off. But the sound scenery and the apparently repeatedly emerging sawtooth profile force one to do so. MW, I don’t have close to these problems. In my opinion, this is really not a condition, since new 235 tires always cost a whole rod of money and Pirelli seems to be no good despite the high price….. Has anyone ever called the tires or something? I do not make any hopes about it now after a year, but it would be interesting…. And what can you recommend for 235 tires with which you have good experiences? Best regards Andreas

Air conditioning does not cool in condition
Hello, have a problem with my C 70 II 2.4 i, Bj 2006: the climate does not cool in the stand and one hears then from the outside constantly click the magnetic coupling. However, one does not hear the fan in the stand. As soon as one drives, the climate cools perfectly. Had had the coolant replenished 2 weeks ago, because at that time also during the ride no cooling performance took place. After the evacuation it was determined that 50 % was missing. What can be the cause? Is the model with its own air conditioning or condenser fan, which may be the cause of this situation, or will the cooling be achieved via the general engine fan? The (free) workshop, which filled up the air conditioning device two weeks ago, was not able to perform a leak test at the time, but now wants to make up for it, after I have called again there. But I think any undichichichlichkeit is independent of the fact that there is no cooling in the stand. I rather assume two different causes. Thank you for your help!

C70 steel roof does not always close.
Hello Volvo driver Come from the Polo Forum. My work colleague has a C70 convertible. After driving open, the roof closes only half and hangs. In Holland a new software was played out for 200 euros. Nix brought. Last week in Aachen even installed a new ECU for over 1000 euros. Again nothing. It can be closed only after several hours of service. equip V50 from 2005 with USB
Hello, I will also join the circle of Volvo drivers from next week. Unfortunately I also have a small problem immediately. I will get a V50 from 2005 which unfortunately has no USB/AUX interface. If I have researched correctly, the CD player can not even play MP3s. This is a big minus for me, because I often hear podcasts (usually I hear this only 1 time -> CD waste). A dream would be a USB connection, or at least an AUX input. I’ve already been looking for something and came across the Grom-Box. Here you can find the Grom-MST3 and the Grom-MST4 Box. My questions: 1) Can you recommend the GromBox to me – and if so, which ones? 2) Is the installation possible if you don’t have any further knowledge of electrical/circuit diagrams? 3) Are there understandable, best German-language instructions? 4) If MP3s are not really playable with the CD Player, which form is available? at to burn is then compatible? C 30 Reduced engine power
Hello together Have had a C30 1.6 d since about 1 month and are so far very satisfied. Today during the drive the engine had hardly any power and showed reduced engine power. The car has only 1192 km and so far no sound.After 2x the engine power was back again.Would be grateful if someone knew what that could be. Thank you in advance. Greeting JΓΆrg

How intelligent is an adaptive Geartronic?
Hello Automatic friends, in how far “the Geartronic adapts to my driving style”? Actually, an Automatic can only be influenced (trained?) by the way I give gas or brake. And if I let the “Sunday driver” hang out the next day instead of cavalier start, what changes? Will the setting be saved? What happens when two different drivers/temperaments alternate? And how can the Automatic learn something if I take it off and z u with manual gear selector in between spark? Can someone explain the mode of operation to me a bit more precisely? Crossbar C70 II front switch – please ask for tips
Hello everybody, during my 9-year inspection (knappe 90,000) ATU [*1] found out the following: Rubber bearings side handlebars on the front right. I would like to have them exchanged on both sides soon/but I would like to get the material myself. And I need a few tips/notes from you: – which manufacturer is to be recommended? – should the stabi struts (pendulum supports) be replaced the same way? That’s what I had picked up where – should something else getausc What costs can I expect with the material? – does someone in D’dorf or Neuss know a trusting workshop that installs the parts to me?Many thanks to PS: Ggf. someone recently changed the crossbars with the same model => Could I please have the OE/OEM number? [*1] please no comments to ATU I only have the service/tire change and nothing repaired. Grds. I am even really happy with them β maybe I am lucky with the branch, where since At least 6 years of the same workshop manager works. And only tell me/resolve defects that are not easy (I clarified that 6 years ago).

Moin, I was surprised today at the motorway road station over a high whistle. I thought at first that this would come from another car in front of me. But it was mine. π After some unsuccessful search in the engine room I opened the oil filling nozzle and Schwupps was the noise away. Lid again on it, whistle noise back there. The lid can only be pulled out unruly. What do I have to do with it? Many greetings Thomas
