  • 2.0 d Automat or D5 Switch or D5 Automat

Hello all Have at the moment 3 vehicles on my list: 2.0 d Automat, 2009 (Facelift) with 92000 km for 22’900 francs, a D5, 2007, 118500 km, Automat, 19900 francs and a D5 2009, old shape, 59000 km, switch, 25700 francs. Are all summum and all from the Volvo dealer. Optically I like the latter best (know …). How would you decide? I have not driven a D5 switch yet, they are rather rare with us. Greetings and thanks Hattrick from Switzerland

  • Question to the tuning experts regarding C70

Hello in the round, I have a question to the possible experts or the forenusers who have insider knowledge. I just get annoyed that my C70II with its 18″ tires on the side is swirling up quite a lot of dirt, because the wheels partly run outside the contour of the fenders. The consequences are clearly visible ! If someone has experience with it, someone knows spoiler constructions for the wheel runs and holme that minimize this pollution effect ? Or does it make sense good old dirt lapp How are the experience values of the C70 and C70II forenusers? Thanks for your possible answers..

  • Blind switches in the centre console

Servus, there is a “blind” switch or not switch in the middle console with the cigarette lighter. The manual says that you can install accessories switches. Can someone tell me how to get a working switch for it or how the part is called? I looked at various parts websites and I didn’t find anything here… And just a Conrad toggle switch inside I find moderately ugly 🙂 thx Jo

  • Battery Charge Warning

Hello municipality, had the following experience. V50, 2,0D, year 2/95, 160Tkm. Run the car about 4min. (waiting for passengers.), with KA and radio. Drive off. Battery sign red-“Lima load no more” Ride about 100m (to let another passenger get on board) Place engine off-start new. Everything ok after about 50m-renew the battery symbol. Drive about 20min-city traffic. 30-40-50-60 Stkm with 3 ampelstops. Warning starts from alone while driving. Had 4 days grade approx. 200 km Aztobahnfahrt without Problems) To this day everything ok. Question: can it be the battery, which slowly gives up the mind? How old?, I don’t know. Or should the Lima, after all, be a three-phase machine without coal? Who has an idea? Ra.

  • How have you been satisfied with your Volvo workshop?

Hello, I also make the thought of buying a Volvo V50 dependent on the workshop. In my region it does not look very good, on about 50 km just two dealers, one even tiny. There was not even the possibility to drive a Volvo V50 sample. If I take the track on me every time in case of a defect I still have to seriously consider how satisfied you have been with the competence of your workshop? A friend and former Volvo driver told me the car was fine, only the workshop was a disaster. Greetings JD

  • Volvo c30 T5 bj 06 Automatic transmission rinsing

Good day together Would you like to have a few experiences about automatic transmission oil flushing at the Volvo C30. First of all to the story: Ride a C30 T5 automatic bj. 06 186400 km. I’ve been thinking for a long time about a flushing of the transmission but nothing was acute so far. Was however a few days ago with the car on the Nordschleife and after a few kilometers came the display in the Tacho “Griebeöl temp. zu hoch”. That made me already a bit stutzig then… anyway then first A few days later I noticed, however, that the gearbox is in a position when switching from R to D a slight cracking noise makes that definitely not there before. Today I was in the workshop then… The gearbox is in order, but there is a little bit of oil in it. I was advised to have a flushing done. Cost point 850€. Supposedly, the oil filter alone would cost 250€. Find that quite he I found an oil filter at sxandix for just under half of the time.. but would also have to know the exact name of the transmission… Maybe someone can help me further. mfg Marco

  • Wrong oil from Volvo?!

Hello, I bought a used Volvo V50, 2.0 D, built in 2005. I noticed now that there is another oil in it ( v 5 w 40). And according to the recommendation it must be 5 W 30. Now I called Volvo, who did this and they say it’s not bad and can’t break much. Those of A.T.U say it’s sloppy for the engine. Now the next oil change is on. Should I take the 5 W 30 or the V 5W 40 again. Thanks for the answer.

  • S40 2.0D – sometimes extremely “bocky” motor run?

Servus with each other, now I have the moose since June 2016 and have been driving a good 8,000km since then. So far I am (almost) happy with the car. The equipment has everything you can wish for, the engine is (mostly) a dream – economical and powerful at the same time. Now I have the problem, however, that the engine temporarily (!) is extremely bumpy and unpleasant. The motor running is completely normal – it does not run round, is not louder than otherwise. Like a normal 2.0D For the purpose of clarity, I now call all the details of the fault picture as Bullet-Points: – The transition between load and thrust operation is extremely unsavory. – It can only be switched with a lot of concentration – mostly I can not get it (although I would call myself a good driver). – The “gas removal” (if there is this word) comes with a noticeable delay. So if you go from approx. 20% pedal position completely off the gas, pull the r car still about a short second normally further, as if I were standing on the gas. – The accelerator pedal is extremely sensitive. Hardly one stands only a breath on the pedal, it storms quite loose. (Together with the rest jerked in the city traffic really grueling.) – Under partial load it jerks noticeably. – It also brings only about 70% of its power. – The consumption is also slightly increased. – Often the acceleration is “wavely” with higher gears. (On the AB e.g. he has 1 second 70% Lei the next second only 30%) – as if I was going to “wave movements” on the gas. The power is also more than mau. Now this problem occurs absolutely surprising: Mostly the engine runs beautifully, can be switched pleasantly and softly, runs really clean – as one is usually used to from a 2.0D. Sometimes just the above mentioned error occurs – I could not reconstruct it yet. I used to assume that it was with the low ta In the meantime, the tank level does not matter. A new engine start does not help. A few relevant data about the car: S40 2.0D summum with 136PS/320nm, 09/2005, (apparently) with DPF, now 239,000km above. The last oil service is 8000km. Air filters and diesel filters have been changed before almost 60,000km. (I know, a change is coming soon, however, the number of gas filters and diesel filters has changed recently. iden rather less to do with the error.) Timing belts, V-belts, water pump and alternator are new, the AGR has only recently been cleaned. Now you have no glass ball at home – that’s clear to me. Maybe someone had a similar problem or knows the subject better than me. I am grateful for every (meaningful) hint! Thank you.

  • No spare parts / sheets for VOLVO C70 Year of construction 2012 available?

Hello everybody! Is the C70 really a rarity now? (Year of construction 2012!!!) In March 2016 I drove in a truck. My friend did not get the sheet metal from the tailgate (see photo) until now!! mfg Kurt

  • strong vibrations during braking with V50

Tomorrow together, I’ve been having problems with my Volvo V50 T5 Kinetic for quite some time. Since I’ve read this problem in all the other posts, but no one could offer a solution, I’m going to open a new blog. I’ll start to clarify the circumstances: When I bought 1.5 years ago (private) the steering wheel was slightly vibrating during the test drive. Then the workshop weighed the tires and replaced the brakes at the front. After about 10,000 km, the brake vibrating slowly came back until it became very strong again. Then the brake discs were replaced, because they had allegedly moved away. Vibration again. Meanwhile ixh had already had the drive shaft front nlins and the servo pump renewed. Now again, 1/2 to 3/4 year later, the same problem. Vibrations started creeping while braking, then stronger and now almost unbearable. Do not assume any more, that it is due to the brakes, but that the warping of the discs is only the result of another error that affects the brake discs. The problem occurs when you slow down. The strongest is between 30 and 80 km/h. If I brake more strongly (no full braking) then it gets better again. Brake power amplifier works normal. What makes me stubborn is the fact that always after the replacement of the brake discs everything works well and then comes back again t. Thank you already in advance for your effort and support! Sincerely Michael
