  • Exhaust leaks but where else should I look???

    Hi guys I had to replace the lampda probe with my Volvo v40 2.0L 16V the other day… It was totally rusted away, I thought after that my exhaust was tight again but far missing. The error is gone and the new probe also inside but the exhaust still roars from the front. The noise gets through under the front area driving gas cell. I had it already on the lift to look for it but I can not find the leaky spot. Has the v40 with 2.0 liter machine any where calculated connector? I still know the problem from my old three-legged golf which is at the place very much rusted times. I hope you can help me. Because since I can hear my exhaust gas unfiltered it does not pull as well and goes off like a bucket glue.

  • No passenger airbag?

    When I browse through my Swedish manual of my V40 2.0T from 2004, I saw that the Baifahrer airbag is displayed by a pressed “SRS airbag” symbol. I looked at it and found this train with the best will. On the steering wheel it is visible, but nothing at the passenger. Also in the door frame, where the durability of the airbags is displayed, only the driver airbag is indicated under the front airbags. It is surprising that a car from 2004, which definitely has SIPS, WIPS and IC, is too bad for a passenger airbag.   • Black headlights and turn signals

    Hello, together (or alone?) well I want to finally mount the dark headlights on my V40. Flashers and apertures are ordered.   • Self-ignition flashers

    Hello again, would like for my V40. Bj 2000, self-lighting turn signal. (= 2-Fade-Gluehbirne in the turn signal, a standlight like with US vehicles, a turn signal. 5/13Watt) I already talked to my Volvo workshop about this. Although they could order such turn signalers, only unfortunately these are pig-priced and the wire harness doesn’t fit. Does anyone know a better alternative? Or does someone know where to get them? many thanks and servus , rough

    Hello, I’m looking for a repair or maintenance manual for my V40. It’s a 85kW diesel (Commonrail), 1.9L, Bj 10/2000. As far as I know, the engine comes from Ford/PSA (Peugeot & Citroen). From the series “Now I help myself” or “So is it made” there is unfortunately no book specifically for a V40. Can anyone tell me if a book about the Ford Focus is to be used for the V40?   • Tap the window lifter

    If you only tap the window lifter switch from the driver’s side for a short time, the disc will go down completely. I would like this to work on all 4 windows, too. Is there such a control for retrofitting?? Or do you have to construct it yourself?? With our business cars, the series (E210) is one more white???

    Hello people hette so far often the start problem known from the v40 and wanted to have some new spark plugs installed. so I bought from volvo and had them installed in ner werkstat, there the noticed that a lot of oil was missing and filled me right away 2.5 liters, jaaaa 2.5 liters, after, so now the mechanic changed 2 candles and then felt him 2 down, but well he made normal wetter and also built this one. then I started the dare and well he still starts Laughs only with much more exposure than before and he is so loud and runs very irregularly. on the way home I noticed that I can not drive faster than 40km/h because otherwise my car disintegrates. because something at the hech vibrated and ratterte so strong and so loud that I was afraid to give gas, whereby he also did not want to take my gas properly. so was not only a light rat, but I was really afraid to drive with the car and in between he went also 3- 4 times just so time out and really drove like a tracktor ( 30 -40 km/h) and besides it stank in the garage when I arrived extremely burned (after oil or gasoline). can someone tell me what to amuse me now?

How do I do that? I’ve been following this for years now. At the moment I have normal Bosch leaves on it, with the left wiper additionally having a spoiler. Tomorrow I’ll get a new windshield (rock sequence with crack) and I’ll also buy the car new wipers.     Hello I have the problem that my engine in idling gives a very high frequency whistle of itself. If I give then a little more gas then it is still there, but is overcome by the engine. Furthermore, I also have power losses. Sometimes it pulls better and sometimes worse. In addition, I hear a gap between 1000 and 1500 rpm. Maybe this can also be connected with it. But the clapping occurs only when driving. If I give gas, then everything is normal. W ar was yesterday at the friendly one and he has once removed the cat to check whether the is defective. But everything (also shock absorbers and turbo lines) ok. . Could the pipe and the power losses from the suction bridge ( change seal costs approx. 160 Euro ) come ? Time to compare : I almost drove a 90 HP gulf away !!! I want to fix this as soon as possible and have no rest. I hope that someone can help me there.
