  • After an accident!

Hello dear friends! Unfortunately, the holiday did not go well as it should and I also wanted it! Everything came differently as in life! I drove a V40, built in 2003, model year 2004, with 122 hp equivalent to 90 kw, 1.8 engine capacity, VOLVO Motor B4184S2 automatic gearbox AW/50-42. My wife wanted to go shopping what she did and I told her still. I packed the moose when you came back. That also had its reason! She came back to the weekend house (as big as a family house in the mountains) and grabbed despite my warning herself. Since she drove back to a big stone so that this stone granite, under the engine came to stand. The stone had lifted the elk, so the V40 so high that the front wheels had no proper fixed contact to the ground any more. The owner who was there at the time had given us help and so came out of the village help. One raised the VOLVO with hyulian car lifter and built the big parts of the cars among the trees. I had started to drink the big ones.

  • Cleaning the front seats, rear seats and entire carpet!

Hello dear friends! I drive a V40, 1.8, petrol, 90 kw, BJ 2003, MJ 2004, Phase II, Motor B4184S2 and automatic gearbox AW/ 50-42. I would like to end July the front and rear seats and the carpet in a specialist workshop for cleaning the cars with us in the city! The problem I have there are the front seats. As we all know, the front seats (driver.- passenger seat) are wired under the seat and connected to the sides and head airbags! In addition, every front seat is fitted with a mechanical sensor. That is also active when the battery is jammed off! If water or other liquid elements come on the front seats, there can be very big problems. That’s my at the moment very staple thought, even if the battery is jammed off. Can I trust the people who clean my car from inside or can’t I? This post is free for discussion! Many nice greetings from the very hot Slovakia from Torsten (Poken)

  • Gear nut loose

If you want to get back to me, I’m going to get back to me again. I’m going to get back to me again. I’m going to get back to the engine. I’m going to get back to the engine. I’m going to get back to the engine. I’m going to get back to the engine (M3P) and I’m going to get back to the engine with lock on the front left. On the gearbox you’ll find number 7700600055 and a Renault sign (see picture 3) The pipe/suming etc. is the pre-stage for the 5th gear and the following gear. This can be prevented by pulling the nut of the gear axle. 3) The service enclosure to be found in other contributions is to be screwed off to the nut and is supposed to give the big metal part in the direction of the wheel?

  • “Rotating” squeaking with pressed coupling

Moin moin Elch-Freunde, a warm ‘hello’ in the round. This is my first post I’ve already read here for some time, so I was able to take a lot of things with me. I have a problem about a week, where I don’t get any further: When I press the clutch in the stand, a squeak comes out of the engine compartment. It doesn’t matter if a gear is inserted or not. It sounds to me that it squeaks ‘rotating’ with the engine speed. That means that when the clutch is pressed and with gas the squeaking is faster. Meanwhile it has become quite loud, so I’m seriously worried now… If I let go of the clutch, or drive, there’s nothing to hear. My V40, 1.8l, 122hp now has quite exactly 245 Tsd. Km on the clock…if that helps somehow. For tips or suggestions, what the cause could be, I say already: Thank you!

  • Radio code!

So first of all “Hello” to everyone here! I’m completely new here. Have a little problem, had my AHK installed yesterday and when working on the electrics the mass of the battery agreed. Problem is that I now have to enter a code on the radio, but I can’t find it anywhere. Neither in the operating instructions from the radio, nor anywhere else. I saw that you have such a check card with the radio, but did not get it from the previous owner. QUESTION: Do you get this code somehow different? Maybe with Volvo directly or something like that????? Radio is definitely the original and stolen! *grins* Maybe one of you can help me!?! Would be great! Many greetings Lothar

  • V40 – No water from rear duesen

Hello, my rear windscreen washing system only works dry. The shower is free, the pump sounds normal. Are there typical constipations? Everything goes on at the front, so I suspect a normal washing water consistency (with my old car I had quite a mud because two means reacted).

  • Antenna changes and more

Hello Am relatively new here, owns the V40 T2 BJ. 2001 only for a few days. Would you like to change the antenna, I have to solve the sky? Is the “original antenna” fixed up? Have a Kenwood double-din installed, everything as far as OK, now I also want to install an R-camera. It is a fixed installation, 25mm diameter, doesn’t know yet exactly where to place you? A question about it, do I need a signal for the camera (not the video signal) at Kenwood there to the return lights? or is it easier, front area of the vehicle, at the relay or so, schematics available here? Pirate

  • Antenna socket defective -buying aid

Hello, I noticed yesterday that my antenna pedestal is slowly saying goodbye. Therefore I would need a new one. My question would be whether someone has already had experience with cheap antennas? The original costs well and gladly times 40€ and more….. e.g. replicas, shark fin or universal antennas??

  • Real prices for a V40?

Hello Elch friends A friend of mine (freshly divorced with a child) needs a cheap combination. She fell in love with the V40. We already read what she should pay attention to when buying it (I will of course advise her as well as I will do). What still causes me some headaches are the sometimes extremely low prices. She does not have a lot of money available (budget is 1500-2000€). She knows that she does not get a car under 100000km for it. At Mobile V40 e.g. Bj 97 from 500€-150€ are included. But you also get a 2000 model from 1200€. What is a realistic price for a V40 around Bj 2000 with less than 200000km? Certainly it depends on the equipment and the condition but he does not have to have much equipment, he must be reliable and as little rusty as possible.

  • Radio change double din radio

Evening, and that’s what I want to know now, if I can build in any double-din radio at the v40 or if it might not fit at all (e.g. if it has any intention or other limitations). I plan to get a new double-din radio from Kenwood. and wanted to know in advance if this works.
