v40 t4 Install charging pressure indicator
Hello dear v40 t4 friends Have just bought me a charging pressure indicator and wanted to quickly ask you how to connect the part. It’s the following charging pressure indicator:http://www.x-parts.de/images/products/1013001-2.jpg Connections: Current with 12v plus, minus and a Bodung charging pressure tube with T-piece The question is now where do I connect the whole thing now? The T-piece should somehow be in front of the control unit, but where is this and which hose is it that I have to cap? (find nix in the google to…) also where do I tap the easiest current for the display? Have searched here in the forum for a corresponding thread but unfortunately I didn’t find it nice. Thanks in advance already for your help Lg

Retrofit seat heating
Hello, has anyone retrofitted a seat heater yet? Is the harness in the V40 year 2002 already available? Are there any problems with the sidebags? I am thinking of an accessory seat heater in connection with the original switches… Good by(t)e, NW

Blower defective the xte
I also count among the lucky ones with a defective blower. I drive a diesel Bj 2002 with manual air conditioning. The problem: the blower cannot be switched off, runs constantly on medium level. If I turn on level six it will be a bit faster. That’s it. Sounds like it was, but with me there are different resistances than described. I looked for the said pre-resistance from the different other contributions. With me there is a thick white block. (not the said resistance MJ 802). The other pre-resistance was probably built in with me once by the friendly, as the fan did not at all. Besides the fan is also a golden electronic part. ( 4 contacts – inscription: Omron G4L-1124T / 12 V 20 A / 0661D7). If I solve the plug, the fan is constantly at the highest level and can’t be regulated at all. Question? Could it be that this unknown electronic part regulates the blower and is defective?

Tyre air pressure S40 T4 Built 97
Moin an alle. I have a question. I drive on my S40 the tire sizes: Front: 225/35 R17 Rear: 245/35 R17 The previous owner drove about with 2.4 front and 2.6 rear. Just called the tyre dealer and he told me that I should drive with the cross section, front with 2.9 bar and rear with 3.0 bar (3.2 bar loaded). Do you have experience values there? It seems to me quite a lot. Thanks already in advance and a pleasant working day. LG leadussmb2

Gearbox noise after repair V40 1,9D
Hello, after a repair (stripped two-mass swing wheel) I have noises from the drive area. (Before it was the load change noises, which could only be reduced minimally ) These express themselves as follows: in all gears (only under load!) a dull, not very loud, howling/scave is audible. The noise becomes louder with larger gear. In the fifth it is most removable. When I press the clutch, the noise has disappeared. In the sliding mode the whole turns to a somewhat louder howling . Also here, clutch stepped, noise away. The curious is, that after approx. 100Km nothing can be heard. Probably the gear/gear oil then reached a certain temperature. The whole occurred in a very reduced form already before the repair. But here hardly was acceptable. The executive master/mechanic can, how it should be different, not notice anything unusual, and classed it as normal. The gear oil stand (was changed) I have already checked with a spare size.

Volvo V40 1.8L timing belts ripped what now??
Hello.. I am proud owner of a Volvo V40 1.8L petrol engine, year 1998, 239000km and have now to fight with a timing belt…. The car is currently in a workshop.. She called me on Friday to tell me that the engine is probably broken (ventile crooked).. You don’t want to make a new timing belt for this reason, because it would only cost a lot of money… That wouldn’t be good for me, because the replacement of the engine is very expensive.. Will I then have to buy another car then… To my question: I have read that there is also something like free runner.. Can I imagine anything under this term… Can a help, tell me if my car is also one?? And is it really so, tooth straps ripped = motor broken?? I really ask for help… Can I change a tooth strap myself? If yes I ask for a guide… Must tell me that I live not in Germany but in Norway… If you will send me back your phone number I will gladly call you Thank you Michael.

V40 motor goes off and can no longer be started
Hello dear Volvojaner, my V40 BJ 2001 , 93000km (key no. 9101, 820) has been annoying me for weeks. About 1 times a week, while driving the engine out and can’t be started anymore. 20 attempts nothing… On the next day (somewhere at the roadside pushed) it starts as if nothing had ever been. Ferries some 100 km error-free, then the same problem. Achja with mobile reader: No error code. My friendly workshopman slowly develops a hatred and I am now driving on the BAB only to the right. I was very satisfied with the last years but now I am very unsure, what to do, let Volvo for a lot of money and still have the problem at the end? Recently (at 90,000) the petrol pump was renewed and the tank 2x washed, then was 2000 km quiet (because he had this here also a lot of described engine jerking with dropouts); now the o.spurg. Problem. So I’m still driving but slowly a real mimose. (the last mistake with the binstor) had been very much to say that I had a little to say about the Volvo!
