Vehicle: V 40 – EZ 6/2003 – 1.8 Automatic – currently 44 T Km Hello, at the beginning of June this year the Airbag warning light did not extinguish after the engine start. The reading of the error memory at the friendly showed an error in the area of the side airbag driver side (SIPS LH). This was then replaced, after arrival of the new part (still under the guarantee), – after that light “off”. After now 2 months the warning light lights up again after the engine start in the “permanent fire”. (a) I have to wait 2 weeks for a repair date (defect search) b) the airbag warning light continues to light up after the engine start and to all excess c) the entire airbag system is currently disabled. Volvo without functional airbags, actually the contrast par excellence. According to the Fr. this error has not yet occurred with the V 40. Question: How does it look with your moose? V40 1.9TDI BJ2001 – Brake fluid loss or question about brake fluid tank
Hello, the V40 of my neighbor has the problem that the clutch sometimes comes into the void. He asked me to look at it together with him. He had brake fluid after every time he had the problem with the clutch. What I noticed is the lid or the ‘balg’ under the lid. This is made of rubber and filled with air – you can press in, but blow up again. However, the bellows can’t blow up the amount of brake fluid on Max at all. so my question: Is the lid so original? No sense in my eyes at all. We filled up auif Max. lid on it – a lot of run down sideways (which according to neighbors always happens :-/) lid under again – and fill level was only still at clutch min. So probably his problem is just the funny lid. We have brake lines from front to rear k I’m curious what you’re saying. LG Matte’s PS: another question that seems strange to me: The second picture shows (probably) the AGR valve. Is that normal that it’s so open or lacks a cover here? It looks like it’s quite out there.

Fron disc blower strength
Dear Volvisti, this morning, after several minutes of quasi-blind flight, I noticed how badly the fan in my V40 1.8 MJ 03 gets the windshield free. The cause is also quite clear after once laying on the hand: even on blower stage 5 and under the biggest noise comes from the front window openings only a more than lukewarm air (in the middle of the disc a little more and almost nothing more than that). Order, because if I put the air jet on the middle nozzles in the dashboard, for example, I’m almost blown away. From bitter experience with my moose, I had to learn that things that I thought were a crystal clear mistake in the car were seen by Volvo as state of the art. So I’m not even sure whether the weak air stream is normal, or a mistake (e.g. any leak in the air supply) that you should look at. half my question, how is that for you with the front window ventilation? Having been to the HU today, can be seen my old V40
Hello Volvo V40 friends, after a long time I found my way back to the forum. Due to the move and the use of a company car it has been quiet around my small 2.0T, so I had the appointment of the HU in July completely missed, so that our happy gentlemen in green with a small note made me aware of it, thank you so much! So today went to the TÜV (better said my better half was there, well, women bonus and so ), after I had I haven’t done so much about it for the last 2 years, except for regular oil changes (premier brake pads and brake fluid renewed, nothing else) and the result is not as bad as you can see from the TÜV report. I have to see where I can fix the stuff, but I have to say, the V40 is real solid!! Now that I have cleaned it again, he does something again, design technology is still one of the most beautiful combos on our streets.

Volvo V40 engine clacks camshaft adjuster
Hello together. I have a V40 1.8l petrol, year 2003. Here the engine clacks in warm condition and I have the following error message. P0011 camshaft position, inlet side / left/front, cylinder row 1 – excessive early adjustment / function errors. In the workshop already the control times were checked, the seals changed, the camshaft adjuster changed and the solenoid valve. Before these measures the lashing and the error message was there also in cold condition. r still if the engine is warm. Maybe someone has an idea what it might still be. The workshop meant to try 10W 40 oil. Now 5W 30 is in. LG

Evening, I have to turn to the Volvo experts here! 🙂 My colleague thinks he can make 230km/h with his 1.8 V40 Kombi according to Tacho. These are in reality 215km/h at most, right? I couldn’t imagine that, why should one then buy another car which has 200 hp and then only 235km/h runs! 😉

New S40: I sat inside
Hi guys, on Monday I wanted to inform myself at our Volvo dealer about the S40/V50. After the seller had handed me the brochures, he asked me if I wanted to see the S40 and sit down. They actually had a black S40 with 17 flaps in the workshop. No Germany model but an import model for presentation purposes. So he looks really bully. I like it completely. Also the interior was very successful. Good materials and Ve The center console in aluminium looks great. My wife actually wanted to wait for an Audi and for the A3 Sportback. But when I put together a normal A3 and compared the price with an S40, I didn’t think of anything. The normal A3 (with 1.6 FSI, 115PS) with some extras (which the S40 partly already has as standard) costs almost as much as the S40 2.4 140PS. Now I think that the Sportback certainly costs 2000,00 more after all. Well, maybe I can use my Holde on 29.02. at the presentation yes to change.

Purchase advice V40 Petrol
Also day, I might want to buy a new or almost new V40. These seem to be offered at the moment wg the new edition s40/v40 cheaper. Since I have never had Volvo, but always only vw and audio, I would like to collect some information about the purchase advice! Does e.g. the 1.8l petrol tanker?, what things should I pay attention to? what advice do you recommend? which bezin-motor is suitable? what consumption is to be expected (country road and city, from time to time)?
