Vibration on the car/ steering wheel
Hello together Here’s the problem description: Did I have for my Volvo V40 T4, 1998 Model 17″ Kosei Sniper Rims (Occasion) buy them for good time. On the one hand, I had vibrations on the whole car and also on the steering wheel. Sure, due to the larger rims and the thinner tires you pour in driving comfort. But this alone can not be the cause. My fitter had already said when balancing, he could not quite balance a rim. Therefore, I went a little later to the rim profi. This “repaired” a rim, which was not quite round, but I thought the tires were bad, say not quiet. Then I went to a second rim doctor who confirmed to me that it was too strongly on the tires. The rims were not quite round, but it was still in the normal frame. Good, so I pulled new tires of the brand Goodyear and of course told them again that the wheels were still on top of it.

My Volvo’s down in the back…
Hello, since I was helped so competently with the last problem, here is the next problem: My V40 (with a large car gas tank in the wheel pit) is down in the back. I always thought that was connected to the tank, but otherwise there is the bike. It shouldn’t make much difference to my understanding. It’s not terribly much, but it bothers me. What’s the matter? The car has already 193,000km on the clock… What amount do I have to plan for a repair and could you do it myself without much effort?

Three-pole pressure switch on the dryer bottle
Hello, has one of you ever measured the three-pole pressure switch of the climate on passage?? I get the values: From the middle to the left connection —- No passage From the middle to the right connection — 20 K Ohm From the left to the right connection — 12 KOhm everything seen in the direction of travel. I understand the switch like this: If the gas values are in order this passage. If the pressures are abnormal, the respective switch opens and the system switches off…. Do I make a mistake of thinking? Many greetings from the elk

white smoke
Hello people for 2 weeks I am proud owner of a V40 T4 2003 with 80 tkm. It is really a great car which convinces me in all points. Just now I was eating with my better half on an alp. (was really delicious :-). When driving home I noticed with horror that after longer sliding operation without giving gas, when accelerating white smoke comes out to the exhaust. (a real cloud) Unfortunately this happens every time after approx. 3-4 min sliding operation mountain off. In normal operation, e.g. gas off on the highway and subsequent acceleration nothing is to be seen. Actually the car is top maintained, water, oil everything in the green area. The car still has warranty and I want to have clarified that. Something can not be right, I can not expect my “Hintermann” to do that 🙂 Has someone ever heard such a thing? PS My dealer (brand honest) doesn’t know any further at the moment either.(official Volvo representative) Thanks and Grus Martin

V40 brakes
Hello for now………. I have to refill my V40 from time to time with brake fluid. I searched for leaks on brake lines, calipers and in the engine compartment, but none found. Brake pedal hardly shows up, even if I ‘pumped’ 2-3 x before. After about 1500 km of city traffic I have to refill about the 1/2 quantity between the marks Min / Max at the storage tank. Where could I still look for leaks ?? Thanks already in advance for tips

Automatic: mechanical lock locks…
Hello guys, with my V40 1.8 automatic, some little plastic particle broke off on the switch lock button yesterday…Result: the knob didn’t come out anymore, so it didn’t unlock and – I couldn’t pull the key off. That was funny! With the help of iens randomly in the car, (…) I was able to get the D ing to jump out after a lot of grope and pull the key off. Hete tomorrow everything went back with careful activity. But I’m afraid that this will happen again and I don’t even get along with it. Does anyone know that? How can I solve the problem permanently? New knob and everything that should be included in it is cheap – Volvo is not known for human friendliness.

A greeting to the Volvo drivers
Hello, When you are on the road in the nice weather you always notice how motorcyclists deal with themselves. The other “dark and rough companions” always greet each other, also unknown way!!! A buddy of mine, who bought an old VW bus a short time ago, told me the same, that the “bus drivers” also greet each other. In order to bring it to the point, what do you think of it, even if the elk fans say hello to each other???? Should it be an easy thing to spread about the forum. A dear Gruss cornholio209
