  • News from the 550th km D5 patient is dead sick…

I had already reported several times about this 2009 D5 with Heico Chip in the Netherlands. Key data: S80 D5 Heico, EZ 2009, a T8 with 185 hp + chip = 205 hp, Geartronic. Black Met., Summum + Inspraption, almost everything that the price list gave, except GSD and seat ventilation. Total powertrain with currently 550t km still original. At 533t km strong blows from the gearbox, specifically when switching down from 3 to 2 and 2 to 1. transmission oil change and software update – problem deutl This is where I drove the car for the first time. Engine, interior equipment and cell in sensationally good condition in view of the mileage. At just under 540t km the timing belt kit No.4 was installed in this car. Change climate compressor and condensator as well as parking sensor at the rear right. The first really expensive reaperature on this car. 550t km: cylinder head seal defective! h ends here the story of the S80, my colleague wanted to buy a S60 D5 annual car (100t km, so new…) but…… …..then I showed him the photos of the new 2016 S90 on Facebook! He absolutely wants to have it! Now he is just calculating what would have to be invested in his S80 in order to drive it for another 18 months or 50 – 70t km. My tip: does he…. I will then report!

  • Delete Bluetooth device

Have the original Bluetooth in it. During the last longer ride with a friend he has connected his iPhone times so for fun with my car – by the way worked perfectly Now of course his iPhone appears in the list of devices and I can’t remove it. Apparently this only works when the device is connected. Otherwise the Bluetooth option is not selectable in the menu. That’s no problem now, because he lives nearby – BUT I wonder of course if you can’t delete a device ka nn if it’s not connected. That can’t actually be. A device can give up the mind or be stolen – what do you do then? Thanks for the tips

  • V70 III: Distance radar available or not?

Hello guys, I have an offer for a used one, V70 MJ2011, allegedly with ACC (Tempomat with distance radar). At the air intake is also the plastic cover, which should be closed on a radar, but on the steering wheel are only the keys for the normal cruise control. Was this car somehow retrofitted or spatted (because ACC was not so great?), or was the car at the time really with radar, but without ACC (so only with accident warning etc.)? The console button for the distance control and the signal light of the ACC above the steering column, which should be available according to the instructions. What’s going on? Can someone steal me up?

  • My own experience with diesel and extreme short distance (2km)

Servus, here I would like to post my own experience, with a diesel engine, in extreme short-range operation. Should not now degenerate in a discussion, why then I prefer not to take a petrol engine, or even a vehicle at all…..! Up to 3 months ago I drove for 5 years a new XC60, D5 AWD, hand switch (Mod. 2011) with 205hp. My track profile is anything but motor-friendly for a diesel (or perhaps generally for a motor), but no matter, here the report: Every T ag 2km to work and back home, on the WE maybe 10-20km at a time, sometimes longer trips of 50-100km, but very rare, about 2x in the year holiday trips of several 100km. Driving performance in the 5 years: 47,000km In the whole 5 years only after 4.5 years, the first time the warning message for engine maintenance appeared. So to the . Oil level was too high, 0.5l sucked off and everything was again OK. It was also read out the error memory and stood here: The system wanted to say and write 480x r I had always feared that I would have to go to the workshop many times because of the oil thinning. Fortunately, this did not come true. Since November, I have had a new XC60, D4 AWD (190hp) automatic and hope to be just as happy with it. VG, Pelze

  • Request help with purchase decision XC60

Hello, we are currently driving a V40 2.0 with 140 hp. This is now in July of the TÜV and it has provided me with 337,000 km of faithful services. Now it is time for a replacement. I wish me nn XC60, with automatic, all-wheel drive, max. 150000 km. I want to spend about 17000 €. In my search I came across this ad:http://ww3.autoscout24.de/classified/273985146?asrc=st is below average if you compare with other ads. The car is at the dealer’s and I would like to buy a warranty if possible. I already read a lot about the XC60, also in the blog here. I don’t let myself be intimidated by engine problems and oil replication, seem to be individual cases. Originally I wanted the 2.4 with 163 hp. Now I have calculated everything and found that my insurance contribution also remains the same with 205 hp. The XC60 would then be driven by 2 people. In the back a dog box for 2 dogs has to be put in (smaller and medium bigger), for this I would give the right half of the trunk and put in a VarioCage. Does anyone have experience with this box? Furthermore, a triathlon bike has to be transported, possibly disassembled in a bike case. Our luggage usually consists of 2 large and 2 small suitcases. If there is still room, diving gear should go along. Do you mean, do you get all this in the XC60? Are you looking forward to answers?

  • Volvo XC 70 MY 2014

Good evening dear Volvo community, I’m new here, but I’ve been reading very interested here in the Volvo forum for weeks. I’m looking for a new car and I’ve been caring for a Volvo for a long time. I think that this brand radiates a certain sympathy. I used to drive a V 40 (long ago) as a first car. Since then only German manufacturers. So now enough to the history ?? I was on the day of the open door on 29.06 at the ?? around the corner and I had the XC 70 MY 2014 AWD,Geartronic introduced and was back and forth, great car !!! The car had the 2.4 liter 163 hp machine(motor of Volvo ???) I think the engine capacity/performance ratio is in a good balance here. The car would often also have to pull the horse trailer, does someone have experiences here? I want to drive this car for a very long time, about 10 years and I drive about 30,000 kilometers a year. I think that this drive performance with good fuel e and maintenance should not be a problem or ? Are there striking engine or gear problems ?? I have not found much about this here in the forum, but this question burns me under the nails. I have high demands on reliability! Have had very good experience with the German manufacturers so far regarding reliability. I have read here partly something about sensitive leather. I have the Inscription interior in mind, how is the durability d The equipment line should contain the summum package + auxiliary heating. Which other equipment extras are still recommended???? What about the electronics/electrics?? Markant problems?? The car has already cast a spell on me at the ?? and my wife too, so the decision is already as good as it was!! Until here it was first, but I think there will be more questions on my part. Well a wagon? the top class wins the JD-Power customer satisfaction study seems to be mature! Thank you for your answers! I hope to be able to introduce myself here soon as a new moose driver !!

  • Waaaaaahhhhh please decision help!!!!

Hello together! I signed the purchase contract for my XC60 yesterday. I chose: D3 Diesel 150PS manual gearbox Java Metallic inside leather beige amatures modern wood panes darkened, exhaust system double business package family package comfort suspension and still a few games. Two things but don’t leave me alone, I constantly think about changing this: Should I have taken an automatic? I like both very much, our V60 has automatic, d he S40 switch. I can’t decide …. and: was the comfort suspension a mistake? is the car then “smoky” on the road? I know you can’t take the decision from me but you can give me at least the push in the right direction if you give me your experience and your feedback on switch XC60 or automatic here. Thank you!! I am looking forward to the great Thadea like a schnitzel.

  • V70 D2 – Compatibility to my track profile

Hello, I will soon be a two-time family father and looking for a suitable family companion. The V70 seems to me to be the perfect candidate. However, I have special ideas. For me it is important to have an efficient vehicle, whereby also driving performance should be ensured. If one considers only this circumstance, one could say that I am on the wrong brand at Volvo. However, I like the Volvo vehicles because of their above average Currently I drive an Octavia 5E Limo with 1.2 TSI GreenTec. Actually a good vehicle, but with 2 children it becomes too small (->Limo) and a switch to the Octavia Kombi is not possible, because there are a lot of small things that disturb me on the vehicle. Unfortunately, when researching the drives for the V70, only the D2/DrivE is possible for me, for above reasons. The problem is that I don’t have the classic track profile for a diesel. the fixed costs (tax + insurance) the D2 is insignificantly more expensive than my current car. However, I am concerned about the durability of the vehicle with my route profile…. Because I drive mainly short distance during the week (i.e. distances <5 km). But as well as every weekend longer distances (>90km) + at least 1x holidays per year. Annual driving performance 15-17’000 km. Now the real question: Does it make sense to switch to a D2 or do I deal with it high tprobably just problems?

  • XC60 – Tank indicator and residual kilometer wrong

Hello, have a 2015 XC60. After I once stayed lying down with empty tank, although 130km rest were displayed, but for a while the tank indicator lit up, then in the large inspection nothing was found about it I stayed there again the day before yesterday. This time still 2 strokes, 250km rest, no tank indicator. Very stupid. After that I looked, so I have refueled 65l were still 150km rest, and under driving statistics have KM times pass. Consumption also only 58l erge BEN. Something is being calculated wrong. Stupidly only that in the inspection recently nothing was found… Someone had an idea or similar experience?

  • Diesel or Beziner

We like the CX60 very well. I drove with the 163 hp diesel years ago and I liked it already. We like the space and the higher seating position. New car is not in question. Budget for a used car is max. 28,000 EUR. On various portal you get good vehicles for this (from BJ 2013). Now we are faced with the choice: the car would drive less during the week, d a it serves my wife preferably to get from A to B (shopping etc.) and if we have to go somewhere in the evening. Every 3-4 weeks a longer ride comes to my old home (150km, 150km back). On the weekend the “normal” trips would come to it. I start from 10-15 TSD km a year. Now the question: diesel or gasoline? Is it still today that diesel vehicles have to be moved “a lot” or is it enough if the engine is blown free every few days? In the case of diesel, the low consumption appeals to us. In addition, the models 160 – 215 hp speak to us. Disadvantage: Purchase price is higher. The gasoline we found only start at 245 hp and accordingly the consumption is also. In the purchase they are however again cheaper! This offer interests me, or is the price unbelievable? See here: Oh, it should be automatic! How would you decide?
