  • Squid D3

Hello Moose Kommune, I have a technical problem today that I would like to discuss with you. Mistake description: in the hot months my S60 D3 (2010) gave when he was standing longer (e.g. 9 hours at work) after starting a long, screaming squeaking at the first start, that disappears after a few seconds. Sure, thought the layman, sounds like a slippery V-belt! Off to the Volvo dealer of my trust, who sells the car to me in February h atte. Luckily I was able to show the master the sound (since there is noise only sometimes). First opinion: is certainly due to the climate compressor!!! On my note that it sounds like a slippery belt: can not be, because self-exciting. So appointment made and climate compressor generously switched to Kulanz Volvo (which I can’t say to Kulanz if used car warranty). Result: Problem unfortunately not fixed. So the car over the summer vacation to the Händle. After the holiday car picked up with the notice that again the climate compressor was changed !?! After driving into the city with 2 hours stay again squeaking. At the Volvo dealer who took up my new complaint I got from another master said it would have been the alternator and not the compressor changed. But if it were so, problem persists. Since one now does not know a technical request has been sent to Volvo. This is now 10 What do you think: can the belt, or the pulleys as a cause be really excluded? How would you proceed to make this subject come to a good end? Greetings Toemmermaend

  • Volvo XC70 3 Purchase advice / Problems

Hello dear ones, I’m looking for a new car right now. I have some old cars and a golf with 1.2 TSI. It has already fed a lot of money and I just want to have a reliable vehicle. After some research I thought that the XC70 is perfect for me. However, I also have some requirements: the car MUST have a heater, four-wheel drive and darker interior equipment are also mandatory. That reduces the available Fa A trailer coupling would be nice, but is not a must because it can probably be retrofitted relatively easily!? I already have a copy in view at the moment, which already has 320t km on the clock and am not interested in getting above average many surprises. How can I be sure that the car is “good? Are 320t km too much for 16t €? What else should I keep in mind? (Is a 2.4l D4 with 181 hp from 2016) chon times who has read up here VG Norman

  • Power loss at low speed. Then MIL.

Hello… I actually come from the Opel Forum but then it has become a used XC60 with me recently. To the car…. An XC60 model year 16 with the D4 (2.0L 181ps) the whole simple at a 6 gear manual gear without four wheel. To the fault picture: power loss under 2500u/min first noticed when the car at Friday noon at 120 in the 6th gear a slight climb high did not manage to keep the speed. But did not sooo notice strongly since i But somehow already in the back of his mind that he feels lower rum than the day before. Today it can then be like it had to come… The MIL/MKL went on of course during the weekend excursions Saturday after 1 pm so nothing with “just read out mistakes” Does the car have a typical flaw where you say “the food”? After Norlauf it doesn’t feel like I would type on it that the first turbo doesn’t work properly T. Thank you for the answers.

  • XC60 / 2010 – Automatic spinning in cold – Rubber band

Hello forum members, we have been falling for a few weeks, since the temperatures have fallen (under 5 degrees I guess) that our Volvo comes only slowly from the spot in the morning after cold start. It starts normally, runs normally round, only you have to give more gas, the speed goes up to 2500-3000 revolutions and it feels as if the hike stirs but no big drive comes on the wheels, like a rubber band or so… Uphill it is then quite annoying, because then you already ho After about 1.5-2 km drive everything is normal again, the power transmission then works perfectly again. Is there any winter program active until the automatic oil gets warm or should we let the oil change? Don’t know such a thing from our vehicles so far. Thank you for your feedback LG Markus

  • Recommended purchase V70 / V60

Moin together, I would like to buy a combination. Either a V70 or a V60. Preferably it should become a diesel. I have been looking for a bit longer and have found the 4 cylinders as well as 5 cylinders. I myself have a 850 5-cylinder and would like to take one again. What about the durability of 4 cylinders diesel with 181 hp? I found a V70 D4 which is interesting. What are the typical diseases? Is there something to consider? What are your experiences? Thank you and say hello to Nilsco

  • Volvo on Call – Activation does not work

Hello together, shortly after the purchase of my used Volvo V70 III summum (EZ 2015) I have completed a 2-year VoC subscription via the dealer. The dealer had this enabled with my data at Volvo. The corresponding activation fax is also available to me. Unfortunately VoC still does not work after a week. I already telephoned with various Volvo and VoC hotlines – the answer was always that my data was stored correctly and actually everything The error picture looks like this: I installed the corresponding Volvo on Call app on my iPhone, then signed in with my Volvo ID and performed the described steps to add my vehicle (take a seat on the driver’s seat, ignition on,…). At step 3/3 (verification) only stands for several minutes “Wait for your Volvo’s standby…” Then the whole thing will probably go into a timeout at some point and the message “Your Volvo responds I have tried the procedure very often. Also I have already deleted the app and installed it again, of course without success. Did any of you already have a similar problem with it? Is there any trick or something special to consider? Unfortunately, the dealer with whom I bought the vehicle and completed the subscription is about 150km away. So it would be a bit cumbersome only for the error analysis.. Many greetings, Fel ix

  • Gas pedal characteristic

Hello, I’m sure you’ve heard of this great “gas pedal tuning”. In principle, that doesn’t make anything more sensitive than the pedal movements – additional power exactly “0” – a real laugh. Today, however, I thought that I would like to have something like that “different around”. For my taste, my S80 3.2 – especially in the city – speaks to much too sensitive. You have to give gas like a spring. It would be nice if I could adjust the pedal less sensitively. you can even do this with tools like Vida? Or do you know a pedal box with which you can adjust the pedal less sensitively?

  • Light sensor indicator lamp dipped-beam??

Hello, I have a V60 with a light sensor. Now I noticed after a long time that I can’t determine from the inside whether the light is on or off. For the main light there is the blue lamp, but when the passing light is not displayed to me. Or am I just too stupid to find that after eight months of V60.

  • Switch for instrument cluster defective?

Moin, with my Volvo, V 70 , 2.5 T, Bj 2008, 166,000 km, spins the instrument cluster. The display shows, for example, that seat belts are not used in the rear, but can no longer represent other (error) messages. Only in extreme heat this succeeds. My Volvo dealer suspects a defect at the rotary switch (left on the steering wheel), cost of the part approx. 120 Euro, plus labor costs. Can someone tell me if the diagnosis is likely to replace the switch in self-direction. n can and which switch I can get where. On relevant portals I unfortunately could not find the part. Thank you for the help in advance. M. Sailor

  • V70 D4 VEA automatic – start/stop and engine jerking after software update 2017

Of course, I also got a software update during the inspection in August 2017. First of all, I didn’t notice anything, but since it’s cold, I have a lot of motor rucksacks in certain situations. It’s almost always reproducible, for example, if I drive in the city at a speed of 50km/h with (distance) tempomat, the car slows down to 35-40km/h and then slowly accelerates again. That is, if it accelerates very little between 35 and 50km/h, e In addition, the start/stop system seems to have been changed. If I remember correctly, it was deactivated earlier at low (and high) outdoor temperatures. Now we had -5°C the other morning, I drove a short bit and although the engine temperature indicator indicated only a small warming – it was still far away from the middle position, the engine was exhibited at the stop at the traffic light. I suspect that Volvo too was something about the nitric oxide sink. has been changed with the software update without commenting on this. Has any of you had similar experiences? Does anyone know what might have been changed in the update? Greetings, Matthias.
