  • who knows the Aisin AW TF-80 SC?

Hello, have in my S80, year 2014, 3.2 an Aisin AW TF-80 SC, 6-speed GT. As you can read many times here, I am not the only one who considers the machine to be in need of getting used to. I now think that the abnormalities are due to construction and essentially side effects of the fuel saving force (and thus to reduce the CO value). Unfortunately I find no further information about the techniques used here, respectively optimized. and, reduction of converter loss during acceleration, switching strategy, etc.. Do you have further information, or do you know pages where I can research? I hope that I will then develop more understanding of my gearbox ๐Ÿ˜‰ Gruss Joerg

  • Project Subwoofer upgrade at High Performance Sound V60

Hello, since I have extended my V60 today by an active subwoofer, I wanted to post a brief instruction/description. Maybe who can use it also plays with the thought. Generally no rizzy thing, through the try have then become about 4h. An active subwoofer of Pioneer (TS-WX710A) was built in, because it fits exactly into the intermediate floor and thus the trunk is preserved. It is required: Subwoofer block fuse JLP 20A or 30A High/Low Adapter mi t Remote signal chinch cable short Small material (core sleeves, notch cable shoes, insulation tape, cable ties, wires) For the power supply of the subwoofer is a grey plug which is actually intended for the 12V socket. because I did not have this I could use the 12 V. Since the fuse is missing you need the block fuse. If a 12V socket is present in the trunk you can safely pick up this 12V. Mass point is in bumper proximity (driver side). For the high/low adapter we also needed 12V, I took this separately from a free safety place and secured with 7.5A. In addition, you need the speaker signals for the adapter. I took these under the passenger seat (orig. amplifier). So that the active sub fits into the intermediate floor you have to cut off the two corners (see photo) which also serve as cable entry. That’s actually it and the system works much better.

  • S80 T6 Executive 2013

Hello Together At the moment driving a C70 T5 automatic from 2008 with a good 140’000 kilometers and relatively good equipment I discovered a S80 T6 Executive 2013 on the used car market. This one has 127’000 kilometers. What do you think is a change worth it? How rare is the C70 with the T5 engine. How high would the exchange price be? (Switzerland)

  • V60 MJ 2017 – two small questions (climate + belt warning)

Hello, I am new V60 driver and very satisfied. Two small questions, I have: 1) When I unlock the vehicle, the air conditioning / blower goes on very high level. This switches off again when I open the door. For what is the function good? 2) The “Gurte- und Tรผren” warning I did not understand correctly. I get the again and again also, if actually all are properly fastened (all occupied places know). Is then a little annoying that you get the away Why is the message coming? Thank you and greeting

  • Volvo workshop tester and 150,- โ‚ฌ secure voucher ?

Hello, yesterday I received a letter from Volvo Car Germany that they want to win me as a workshop tester. I should register with their partner DEKRA and drive to my preferred Volvo workshop during the next inspection. I think that the meaning and purpose and the course of a workshop test is known. Now I have doubts whether my workshop, with which I am very satisfied, would not be angry if the test would not be so good. Or should I have the How do you feel about it? Thank you for your answers.

  • Today accomplished: transmission oil flushing (pics inside)

It was time, at km 124,700 today there was a flush for the venerable Aisin TF-80 SC. Performed in Elsterwerda in southern Brandenburg by the company SCN-Tuning, which specialized in this topic. At 9 o’clock I had appeared on time for the appointment, it was explained in detail what is done with a test drive before the procedure. Around 11 o’clock the car was ready to pick up again. What should I say: the transmission looks far more harmonious and softer than before, the “intermediate switch In aisle 5 and 6 the car disappeared completely and in aisle 5 hardly noticeable. A completely new driving feeling. 6,9 liters was sucked, rinsed with 13,7 and 7,0 liters filled at 49 degrees. Everything neatly and cleanly logged. Admittedly: with 386 euros the preventive measure was not cheap, but the old broth (picture 1) was already quite dark. 50 ml of it are stored for 1 year. From a gear adaptation drive I took only one after the recommendation of the professional. This 500 km should be given to the gearbox in any case, to get used to the new oil. I will see whether the better switching characteristics affect the consumption (picture 5). The subsequent drive to the Ore Mountains (only rural road and city) went quite well, for an XC70 ๐Ÿ™‚

  • Question about adjustable steering force

Good morning, I am currently busy with the servo support of the steering. I can see no change in the different steering force settings, and here in the forum contradictory statements about the steps are circulating. Sometimes it is called “light = light support”, sometimes one reads “light = easier steering” (so high support) The operating manual also does not help any further, there is only the option pointed out. If important: The liquid level in the servo fluid kei ts container is in cold condition at about 4/5.

  • Start/stop

Hello, I’ve noticed recently that sometimes (that is, really rare, perhaps 1x per week) the car does not run out while stopping, although the ad “available” says nothing about going out. This can only be observed after the call back to the AGR system or after the exchange of the batteries. Both were quite close to each other in time. The start/stop system was mainly out of function due to the battery problem. I don’t know if I’m going to do it again. I don’t know if I’m going to do it again. I don’t know if I’m going to do it again. I’m going to do it again. I’m going to do it again. I’m going to do it again. I’m going to do it again. I’m going to do it again. I’m going to do it again. I’m going to do it again. I’m going to do it again. I’m going to do it again. one that the car does now independently when I get out? Best regards PS: Sorry, I actually wanted to formulate a meaningful title, but now I can’t change that anymore.

  • Rugging / engine oscillation when gasing XC60 D3

Hello, for some time now (km-stand now approx. 25.000) I have the following appearance with my XC60 D3 MJ2011 hand switch: During easy acceleration and only minimal gas giving, the engine jerks or bucks briefly. This often occurs in the range of approx. 1500 rpm, e.g. after you have the car rolling in the city traffic and now quite easily gives gas again. One has the impression that the engine is not a light gas acceptance, instead ruptures clearly. By the way, the problem does not occur with the I would not consider it normal and will soon address it at mine. I’m just afraid again: demonstration effect. Greeting Andreas
