  • Central locking: before closing all doors?

Moin together, I have been wondering for quite a while if this function is so correct: S60II, built in 09/2010, D3 with ZV: before I can lock all doors with the transponder, all four doors must be closed, otherwise it doesn’t work. Even if only one door is still open, the ZV is without function. I would have expected that when locking (driver door closed, passenger door still open because still gets out, with the transponder is closed at this moment kt) after closing the passenger door all doors are locked. But that is not so. Is that correct? Thank you, Greetings, Sigi

  • XC 70 with Heico – Sport springs

Hello together, I’m considering ordering an XC 70 D5 because it’s one of the few vehicles with a ‘large’ diesel engine in combination with four-wheel drive and a manual transmission. In addition, we have already 4 XC70 D5 without any problems in the fleet. However, since I’m actually not a friend of ‘higher’ vehicles, I’ve been a little bit upset and have stepped on the sport springs with 30 mm lowering of Heico Sportiv (Art.-No. H7620802). r even a few pictures? Thanks already + a nice evening! Hasti111

  • Installation VPARTS LED door interior lighting

So, also from me a statement. In advance, in front it does not glow, in the back yet, because on one side the socket (the transparent plastic element, in which the LED is inserted, is missing) But to the essential: It only fits at the driver’s side front door. With the other doors you better look in the schematic for the correct cable colors. Cable color shortening table: schematics (there area Lighting –> Interior Lighting –> Door Handle Lighting there at DDM, PDM, RDM, LDM the cable far ben zur Diode (Plus -I>- Minus): Another tip: measuring with a multimeter, whether the contact from the current thief fits before you reassemble the door and watch that you do not squeeze the cables when you tighten the screws. So, some more pictures…

  • Volvo S80 V8 H approval

Hello together,I have a Volvo S80 V8 Bj. 2006 I will have the exhaust system built by Heico. Now I was offered whether I want to have a system with Sportkat ́s installed immediately (of course all TÜV just). My problem is the following. If I do this with the exhaust system, there are certainly problems when it goes to the H-approval or ? All I ask do not know exactly and advise me about it (if I want to have an H-approval). knows it: Everything that was available for my Volvo 10 years after the first registration, I can retrofit and would still be allowed for the H approval. Will also do a few other things about it, but first of all to the exhaust system.Has anyone had any experience with this topic ?

  • Starting weakness and lethargy from 3500U/min

Hello for now,I haven’t been here for a long time but now I have some questions about my new V70 built in 2013! Is the first time I drive a Volvo Diesel(D4 163hp) that makes me notice that the vehicle is very hard to drive. When starting on a slope I felt like a beginner!Without the speed so to keep 1500U/min almost impossible! Differently between 1500U/min-3500U/min in the lower gears ,there he goes really well , after this brand unexpectedly uses a kind of lethargy, one might almost think it wants to tell me;College turned high I don’t want to.Other short stroke diesel can do that much better.A lack of my vehicle or generally usual with Volvo? Had a long time ago a car rental Volvo V70 with diesel which also had 163hp (was so around 2004) but went far more homogenous to the matter! Furthermore I wanted to treat myself to a 2channel chip tuning box from TPM(had I previously already been very frieze When I got the answer :I will not do Volvos any more in the near future since the injectors and the Turbo already work on your limit and a further use of the performance would exceed these!? Are Volvo professionals at the start who could refute this statement or confirm! Please for your help MfG Michael

  • slight (nerrvous) jerking 2.5T

Hello municipality, I have a V70 III 2.5T from 2008 for several weeks. The car has run 130000km and is maintained checkbook. What annoys me a bit is a slight jerking when driving… definitely comes off the engine. At full throttle everything is ok, but with a slight gas giving it accelerates irregularly. As if it had “light” ignition oscillations…. especially after the turn, you notice this when speeding slightly. …. but mostly in the lower speed range.Consumption is normal at about 9.5 to 10 liters, spark plugs (original Volvo Turbo candles) are also new. Error memory shows no errors… LMM was also exchanged, but did not bring any improvement. Volvo-Heini had no idea, except for the saying that the engine “modest” runs… he had no idea and said I should drive until a mistake appears… SUUUUUUPER IDEE!! πŸ™ Maybe one of you has a ignite idea or experience honoring with such a problem ??? Greeting and good night!! πŸ™‚

  • Automatic – Newbie … How to go through the wash road? πŸ™‚

Sorry, the question is really serious… I’ve been washing by hand so far, but at the moment I don’t have the time and I would like to drive through a (very good) wash road… Only on the way there the thought came to me… How???? Since the Volvo is my first automatic car, I don’t have any experience how that goes exactly… In “N” I can’t turn off the car. So only “P” would turn off and “N” would go… I don’t think I can go from P to N, if the car is off… (gear lock?) And if I let the engine run, switch to N and stay in it … then this City-Save grabs when the washbrushes come and makes a full brake? Can someone help me and explain the “procedur”?

  • Buying advice S60 2.0T petrol, 76 500 km, BJ 2010

Hello Forum, I have driven a C30 so far and have now come across the S60 by chance, specifically the somewhat rare motorization 2.0T (203 hp), equipment variant Summum, automatic, Navi, sliding roof – 76 500 km and year of construction 9 / 2010. Checkbook maintained, the car makes a very valuable impression on the outside as well as on the inside and is really elegantly styled for my term – the test drive then did its rest. πŸ™‚ If you look around a bit, the S60 seems to regularly win reliability prizes in its class, or does it slowly come to an age from 6 years onwards, from which you should be careful? One point that also leaves me a little doubt is the consumption – before I drove a D2 diesel and now it showed almost 10 l Super after the test drive (a mix of city and highway). The navigation data seems to be read from a DVD or CD, can it be? How do you actually get updates and play real-time traffic data about TMC into the route guidance? Please look forward to answers. Maybe someone is driving a similar model at this age? Greeting Christian

  • Defect AGR and Turbo V60 D4

Hello to the MT Volvo Forum, after 3 years of carefree driving with my V60 D4 (BJ 10/2012 – MJ 2013; 80 TKM) during the motorway ride my Volvo showed me last week first the exhaust error message (yellow engine symbol) and then one day later the notification β€žmotor system maintenance required… After reading the error memory by it turned out that the AGR valve is complete and needs to be replaced (cleaning no longer possible). Here the turbo hoses were renewed, because they were defective/fragile. Cars back and the first 80 KM all good. Then with short, strong acceleration again the error message: “Motor system maintenance required… Now it turns out that the turbocharger no longer has to be adequately addressed and also needs to be renewed. Makes 1.800,- and before AGR + Turbo hoses + (earlier) inspection already cost me 1.400,-. I am now e twas bewildered, that with the age and the KM performance so serious damage occur (regular inspections at Volvo, driving profile on weekdays 100 km highway, WE primary stand service, hardly short distance). I fear that I have here simply bad luck, because – I think – these are not known problems, right? Disappointed greetings from volvomaniac.

  • Thinking aid: End up leasing or buying out of leasing?

I made an offer to buy my V70 after 18 months out of the lease. I played with the idea of selling it and buying a smaller used car – but the demand is not overwhelming (diesel). It is financially but not necessary and I am extremely satisfied with the V70. If I convert the financing of the money for the purchase at monthly rates with interest 3%, I get exactly the same monthly costs as if I were still 30 months So financially, it’s as if it’s gone. No one knows how the used car prices for diesel are in 4 years. Even worse than they can hardly be at the moment, you would like to think. But who knows. Is it more important to be able to put the car on the yard for the dealer after 4 years, to knock his hands off and go? That would mean to read on. Or is it more important to be flexible and to be able to sell if necessary?
