Hello everyone, I had recently already hired a question regarding purchase advice on a Volvo S60 D5 215 hp, year 2013, approx. 70,000km. Yesterday I finally drove him test. He actually convinced me already at the first meters (had previously a S60 2,4D) until suddenly the engine control light turned on > engine system maintenance required < and he only ran in the emergency program and I so throttled back to the car dealership .... As for engine control lights I am a born At my SLK, the repair of the relevant serial error cost €6,000 (half of which ran to Kulanz). However, he always went normal and did not switch to an emergency program. Is this immediate switching an indication that there is a greater damage? Actually, I would be very interested in the vehicle because he has all available driving assistance systems.... I have arranged a second appointment next week for a test drive. I will ask you to do so. The error memory (i.e. the whole history of the vehicle) should be presented. From this it should also be clear whether this message has appeared more often. Except the error memory was deleted, but you don't have to be able to restore it?? In some threads I read that with this problem everything was changed and still there were error messages with workshop and partial towing costs. Ngen with the engine control light? I couldn't find anything about a serial error with Volvo. Thanks in advance for your answers!!!

Buy a car at a distance – how to pay safely?
Hello together, I’m thinking about buying a new car (nice used car). Unfortunately, my dealer can’t get me the object of desire, so I have to enlarge the search radius. Now I finally found a car, unfortunately it’s almost 600km away… The dealer (Volvo dealer) makes a good impression, but I would like to be on the safe side with regard to payment. According to my knowledge, it’s not without risk to transfer the money in advance, so without having the car and the papers. A colleague was also a customer at a large power provider and paid for a year in advance. And chauffeuring all the money in cash through Germany… Well… 🙂 What kind of payment is certain, which one do you recommend? Greetings & thanks in advance!!!

Purchase advice Volvo V70 III Diesel
After a long search and a long time back and forth, I am now sure that it will be the V70. It’s still practical, the back seat can be completely folded, so that you can also put a mattress in the car and can sleep long and comfortably. That was important to me, because I also want to travel with the car. More precisely, it should become a Volvo V70 diesel. BJ from 2007 (the 3rd generation). Equipment that is important to me: automatic, cruiser. leather I would like to spend up to 13.000 €, if it is really good there maybe a little more. Heating would be nice, but if necessary I would also retrofit! hands-free equipment would be nice, but also no need – you can also simply retrofit. There are lots of accessories, also from Volvo the Bluetooth retrofit. I want to have a well-kept vehicle without maintenance stowage, make smaller things (filters, brakes, oil, etc., or at a bef repeat mechanics), inspections etc. continue with the Volvo dealer, because a well-kept checkbook is very important to me. Vehicle should be 1. Hd, if 1. Hd was a demonstration car, also gladly 2. Hd. Up to how much KM can I buy such a V70, so that I can be “safe” that it does not cause me a lot of problems? Am dependent on the car and drive every day to work and also sometimes longer distances from time to time, Diesel is of course also “free blown” on the highway. e but by no means race with the V70. I am a little skeptical about the high KM performances, since I have always owned annual cars up to now. But have already confidence in the reputation and quality of Swedish vehicles. What do you think – what should I take care of, except that the timing belt should be changed at 160 tsd km? What are big defects? Known problems and weaknesses? What should I pay attention to when buying? How much KM can I go? What would be a typical offer like BJ u nd KM power for the max. stated sum? If I spend “only” 10,000-12.000 € this is of course also ok, so I have even more reserves or money for other expenses (dachbox, safety net, etc. and immediately). But also do not want to save at the wrong end! Thank you and a nice rest Sunday!

Volvo XC70 – Facelift 2013 to be recognized by what?
Hello, please excuse my “dumb” questions. I’ve been looking for a Volvo gasoline truck for many months, preferably the T6, even though the consumption still shocks me a bit. Those at the Volvo dealer said that you should take the last (2013) model after the facelift. Petrol Volvo XC70 from 2013 is almost not available, but if, how do I recognize the last model, or just if it is a 2013 approved one? Here there are optically very different variants. I only have the MY2015 and MY2016 brochures, so I miss the pictures. With the 2014, 2015 approved is relatively simple, alone already from the BJ, but also so optically… Honeycomb cooler grille and automatic switch bar with leather bag/cover. Besides, I see again and again a 2012 approved with the old rectangular cooler grille but a “newer” automatic switch bar with leather bag/cover. Thus probably the old model. On the other hand, then a 2013 approved already with the newer honeycomb But the old silver automatic switch set (even older?!). How does this fit together? Also I see again and again a “T6” with 238/243 hp… that was never available, right, that is actually the 3.2? And because we are already there, the T5 with the new 4-cylinder engine never existed in DE as AWD. However, I have seen two alleged XC70 T5 AWDs in Italy and one here in DE as an import car from the USA. Was there really this combination, or did d a just once again someone wrongly copied the data and the T5 was actually only 2WD or the 5-cylinder engine? Thanks for a brief explanation! Good night! Oliver

Questions about my new Volvo S60
Hello, I’m new here and I’m looking forward to calling myself the owner of a Volvo S60 Summum D3 MY 2012 (163 Ps) with Geartronic. It’s my first “high-quality” car, as I haven’t had any luck so far. Unfortunately, I’ve read a lot of negative things about Geartronic, such as hard switching operations that were clearly noticeable, idling fluctuations, power loss,…sometimes even older cars before 2010. Is Geartronic still so vulnerable or has someone problems with it and should I use it again? d a new software update or is there a new one from 2017? Is a transmission flush recommended ? The car has now almost 120,000km on it and I would like to have a long time fun with it. Unfortunately, there are many shared opinions to read like e.g. these only to make, if you have problems or that can occur after a flushing problems. I would like to let the car chip. What about the additional extra power can Geartronic,Motor,Drivetrain the probl Is there something on this engine or in general on this model that I should check? Is there a list of what is done at the next service or the 150,000 inspection? Is there still a warranty on something from Volvo (e.g. gearbox, rusting,…) and would you recommend that you continue to go to Volvo or have it done in a free workshop? Are there many questions but I would like to give as much as possible? Thank you very much for your answers.

annoying noise from the engine. ASSISTANCE…!
Hello, I, resp. my workshop has been fighting for a few weeks with a more than annoying noise, which gives my moose of itself. Briefly to the description: Noise I would call “rashing – scratching – ringing”. Only occurs when the vehicle is slow, constant acceleration. Starts at 1,700 rpm and ends suddenly at 2,000 rpm. Noise comes from the area right, front (seen in driving direction). When the vehicle stops and the engine is running, the noise is in no way The funny thing is that the noise is not always heard. It is not dependent on the outside temperature, nor on the engine temperature. Oil consumption/loss zero. Engine power unlimited. My workshop said that this is a vibration from the dashboard and has worked the area inside around the glove compartment with insulation material. Of course, it did not provide any remedy. I personally I suspect that it comes from one of the turbochargers (preferably from the small one). For this, m.M.n. would be quite spechen. However, my workshop does not share this opinion. I’m quite desperate, because my moose is not so much fun for me. :-)( What do you mean??? Thank you! LG, Nordisk.

Request for short advice for V70 III 2.5T
Moin. I’m an absolute Volvo newcomer and I’m looking for a “daily” that has to stand out at the moment. He would mostly drive more short distance, so I say 5-40 km each way. Of course he’ll get a track, but not so often. So I guess that’s better there’s a petrol truck. I found a V70 06/2009 2.5T 200hp automatic 230,000km momentum. Since I have no idea about Volvo completely, I want to ask on this way, if this is a reliable car, or if I If the internet is right, is it a true Volvo 5 cylinder, is it the stability? The automatic should not be sooo great, but there are few switches to be found. From my own painful experience I ask for rust, should it not be the subject in general, what does the swarm knowledge mean? Are there things that need special attention during the visit? Used car consultant.de mentions: Steering gearbox (how do I find it?) Track rod heads, Hi nterachsquerlager, brake pads, level control, BLIS, Klimkompressoren (OK, I can find that 🙂 Then some more calls, how do I know if they were made? Many questions, but I come from the BMW country and to Sweden is a long way away… 🙂 Thank you, Greetings

Brake caliper V70
Hello all, I have a V70 D3 Bj2015. My caliper HL is fixed, so it will be replaced. I had to completely renew before the rear brake discs and pads anyway. I had already ordered brake discs (full/massive) and pads. At the moment, however, ventilated brake discs are in there, I only noticed that now. the question is, if I now use the thinner brake discs/massive (thickness approx.11 mm), I need other brake calipers? are apparently suitable for massive or ventilated brake discs, or doesn’t it matter? Thanks and Best regards

1. Camera flickered/twitched – 2. Oil quantity
Recently the picture of my RFC has often twitches in the picture. Did you have that already? Have concerns that there is already something expensive coming up again…. and still what that comes to my mind even if it is a completely different topic: since last year during the inspection less oil is filled in with me – the last bar in the display does not light up from the beginning. On request my shared with me that from VCC the instruction came to fill in with the D5 engines a little less oil, otherwise the message “too much oil” or something like that can light up. Needless to mention that of course the full 5.8 liters are still billed there is something about it or just moneymaking?

Long-term experience XC70 (or also V70) from MJ2015 Gasoline
Moin together, Since the pension is within reach, I want to buy an XC70 from MJ15 (i.e. from mid-2014 delivery). I had the XC70 BJ2016 D4. That was my best car ever next to the 940 station wagon. However, I have only been allowed to drive the XC70 for 3 years (company car) that a long-term diagnosis was not possible. Unfortunately, there are also few test reports on this model. However, since I will not drive much in retirement, it should definitely be a petrol tanker The questions about this – What diseases do I have to pay special attention to with the XC70/V70 from the BJ? – What mileage have you achieved so far with this model? I read here in reports 330tkm and more. What were there of extraordinary defects? – what does it look like with spare parts? How long can/will Volvo deliver the still buw there have been problems here with you? – What else do I have to pay attention to? I have read this for examplehttps://www.motor-talk.de/…/…it-dem-v70-2-4d-mj-2010-t7203445.htmlhttps://www.motor -talk.de/…/…chstellen-beratung-kauf-t7014402.html Thanks to everyone who answers me! LG and a nice Christmas time Tom
