  • XC 60 Interest

Hello,am new here and had read me some texts yesterday and am now a bit confused because if I have understood this the D3 and D5 are rather worse or more vulnerable because it takes more problems with it even though the Volvo is a very reliable friend it can come to some incidents! The D4 is in this case the better built. Is the right? Search from year 2012 Automatic but not with the zigzag circuit,Diesel I have only driven Mercedes up to now and my last vehicle was a CLA 220 only it has become too small and an XC60 I would like it inside is simple but with still. I live in Austria but unfortunately there is little to choose from and are expensive but also open for a trip to D because I have always bought my cars in Germany. I thank you already in advance for every help.

  • Question about the USB interface

Hello together, I hope you had nice holidays. On the tour to the dear relatives I had connected my iPhone to the said USB interface under the armrest (front slot) and could then watch how the iPhone’s battery emptied, although the display of the phone jumped to green (= charge). My questions: 1) is the power of this interface too low to charge a smartphone? 2) What is the small slot below the USB port (see photo) meant for? Would there possibly have to light an LED to confirm the function? Thanks in advance, and comes well into the new year.

  • 120,000 km view – Exchange of the belt tensioner – sudden hum

Hello, my V60 (D3) was on 20.07. to the 120,000 Km – transparency. Last year there was a call back regarding the belt tensioner, which was changed now also with me. So far everything is ok and the car runs (as always) impeccable. However, what bothers me is a noise of noise, which comes from the area of the belt, left of the engine (passenger side). As to the maintenance only this service action was carried out, it can only be related to the new belt tensioner. In the meantime I drove about 1500 km and it does not get better. Is this problem known? To the result of the inspection – for those who are interested: There were no abnormalities, everything was ok. In about 20,000 km probably the next brake linings at the back become due and some bushings at the rear axle begin to work freely. Otherwise, the dampers of the rear flap can be slowly hanged down. Otherwise, I didn’t know any more “Mängel” at the moment. If there is interest, I can also upload the invoice. My previous opinion about the car: The car is not likes of the typical size of the Volvo, but I don’t want to keep talking about the quality in the interior.

  • service costs for diesel engines

hello, a friend finally wants to buy a volvo. his annual km performance is more than 35 tsd km, which suggests the purchase of a diesel. with the engines he is flexible (from the driv e to the d5 goes everything in order for him). what we asked ourselves was what other costs of the diesel to come to it. how is it to exchange the dpf, regeneration cycles and refilling of adblue / urea through the service (if you can’t do this yourself, or does volvo have such a thing at all?). as engines such come into question from 2010: driv e 1.6 psa, 2.0 psa, and the 5 cylinders since this time. for a new vea the budget unfortunately does not suffice, although I would be personally interested in whether the adblue need or be satisfied with regeneration cycles. thank you flobber

  • Buy winter tires without rims and put on summer rims?

Hello together, for my XC60 winter tyres are soon due. Now I change my vehicles relatively often and unfortunately often buy new rims and winter tyres. After switching to another manufacturer I have to leave the actually still good rims very cheaply. Now I ask myself the following question before I do this now with my new XC60. Can I not just buy winter tyres and have them put on the rims and pull that through in the next 3 years? It would be nice if you could advise me here? Greetings Markus

  • Weird behavior Locking system

Hello everybody, have you noticed that you can get into your van even though the car is actually closed? I have an XC60 MJ2012 with electric boot flap. Close the car with the remote control, open the trunk with the FB, close the trunk again. The car looks closed (mirror opened, buttons in the doors are below). The doors cannot be opened, but the boot flap can be opened with the handle. I would have expected the rear flap to close automatically after the closing. – funny logic from VOLVO. Greeting Hans-Dieter. P.S. that works exactly like this for the V70.

  • V70 III 2.0 136 hp diesel used…

…because I am still looking for a (pricedly interesting) family car, I still have used V70 III in my sights. I had already expressed myself here in terms of V70III 145 PS gasoline, but I (without having made a test drive) mainly because of the forum contributions so my concerns about performance / usage. Now there are at present some 136 PS V70 in the internet offer (especially here you find a number of offers (partly under 18.000 EUR, but beyond the 100,000km). My requirements for a family car are quite modest: *maximum safety (mandatory) *place *CD radio *parking aid …more is not enough for me, therefore already the Kinetic equipment … Makes sense of the small diesel engine with the following driving profile: 70-80% short distance (children’s garden, shopping, school…), so max. 10km on day 1-2x/year holidays (300-500km easy distance) At least I promise myself of the engine more passage in the range below 100km/h or a significantly lower consumption in the direct comparison to the problem offered by V70.

  • Wheel box inner cover damaged by tires

With my XC60 MJ 2010 D5 the inner wheel box cover is really eaten out by the tire. First I mean that someone on the right side cut me the interior cover with a cuter knife. I really don’t know what that is (have enough distances from the tire to the inner lining) Have already hit to the right and left fully but nothing. please for help with what this is related to. Ps : I had only when I mounted the winter tires (the glued like last year 235/65/17) No snow chains no terrain No Teirbisse

  • xc 60 Color choice Cameleon Blue

Hello dear fan community, in the next few days I will have to choose the color choice for the new XC 60. After colour chart and brochure inspection I decided for Cameleon Blue and thus against black and white, unfortunately the branch did not have a vehicle of this color on site. The seller also told me that Cameleon is very accustomed and thus an exotic among the colors. He has not sold a Volvo in Cameleon Blue yet. Has anyone in this round experience with it, or can someone show me a few normal pictures of the Volvo-Cameleon Blue in action (no high gloss brochures). Thank you

  • Cracking the B-pillar is decorative strip

Dear community, after several rides, during which I have quietly cursed in the car to and fro to locate a crack that my girlfriend certainly could not perceive (and I am “though only imagining to hear it”, I spent my afternoon jamming a microphone in the car to prove to her and me that I am right. I also once deserved to win a fight. I heard the cracking right next to my left ear and suspected it in the B-pillar, just because this was discussed several times. Interestingly, however, it didn’t come out of the column, but from the outside, from the chrome ciphers. http://www.vidup.de/v/8kP2g/ During the normal driving it occurs in short, harder beatings. Gullies, headstone pimpers and something like that is stuck in front of me. On the video I have reproduced the noise again. Randomly a neighbor came by. I have sat down and begged him to push, completely whatever he may have been able to prevent it from happening to me, but then someone has stuck to remember it.
