  • Key problems

Good morning, I hope it’s okay if I start a new topic for it. I have been driving an XC70 since October, which has Keyless Go. Unfortunately, the everyday opening and closing is increasingly a challenge. I press the key, nothing happens. I press the button at the door, nothing happens. Sometimes it works out on the first attempt. Sometimes I pull the door handle, it opens. Sometimes I do the exact same thing, the door opens, but the Alar And often when trying to start the ignition/engine, he says “keys are not recognized”. I changed the batteries in both keys for new ones. An improvement didn’t bring that. In the end, it’s really annoying, because I can’t just get up and do it. The car is standing there like new, has no problems or any signs of wear or tear…but this topic is starting to make me really desperate. Does anyone have the same experience? What can you do with the achen or helps only the exchange of keys? Thank you in advance.

  • V70 Extension Selekt Warranty?

Hello municipality, the topic is already in one or the other form. Since holiday boredom, however, I quickly create a new thread I have just received from Volvo the offer to extend the Volvo Selekt for another year. Here the facts: What to do? I realize that nobody can look into the glass ball and it is ultimately a bet. In the first year I was paid a new power shift transmission by the insurance for 5,500 €. The next inspection will be carried out at the beginning of February in order to give me a picture of the technical condition (my current Volvo workshop is not the seller at the time). In the Ford forums, besides difficulties with the power shift gearbox on this engine, there are some capital damage due to sudden cooling water loss. In this case, I would be glad to have an insurance service. What does the swarm intelligence mean?

  • V70 driveE problems in the snow (DSTC)

Hello together, I’m on my way in the Bavarian snow masses with our B70 driveE from 2011. at the lowest gradients e.g. railway underpass I hardly get up the “nerg” with the snow smoothing. as soon as I give gas the wheels turn through and Dstc is activated/lamps lit. the gas is then immediately regulated down, so that the car may still progress. with 5 kmh. I am an absolute traffic obstacle, all other cars pass easily.. from Smart to 5er.B W.. what am I doing wrong? deactivate dstc? Driver training? I don’t feel safe, think almost the car is slipping. right back down the mountain…

  • Odd braking behavior?

Hello and warm Christmas greetings! 2 months ago I switched from Mercedes ML (Automatic) to a Volvo XC60 D5 (built in 2016) with automatic and enthusiastic about the car. However, he (or me?) did something strange yesterday: I drove to a traffic light in the rain and slowed down early, but then noticed that the car didn’t brake properly. Instead, I had the feeling that he gave further thrust, although I already braked. The engine also cried something up. the car came to a stop – but only about 2m behind the stop line. Luckily nothing happened, but if someone had stood in front of me at the traffic lights, I would probably have driven it up. I was pretty scared and can’t explain the whole thing to myself. Has anyone here already experienced something similar? Did I accidentally get on the brake AND gas? (Though I don’t think that’s possible.) The start-stop automatic was n First of all, thank you for your answers.

  • Maintenance plan V70 D3 (163 hp) EZ 2011

In search of a V70 I have not yet written off a diesel if it has at least Euro 5. On Saturday I will visit a D3 from 2011 at an attractive price. Although almost 210,000 km, but from the Volvo car dealership with new TÜV and new inspection. ZR changed at 180,000 km, service booklet completely at the same dealer. Proud mileage, however, only 7 years old. When I remember that I bought my 850 at 15 years and 200,000 km and without any problems without Panne drove 130,000 km in 9 years, however, seems to me that no problem. For example Diesel: In the new BL less fine dust excesses, therefore little driving ban potential (at least currently). And for Euro 5 one can still hope for a conversion. As an alternative, a 2.0F with gas retrofitting is to be discussed, but nothing has yet been found suitable. My question: Who has a maintenance plan of this model? I have an OBDII plug by now, will be able to use it again. Thank you.

  • XC60 oil change after 5 TKM ?

Hello Fan municipality, 4 weeks ago I received my first XC 60 2,0 Diesel 8 gear automatic. I am so far ( 4 TkM) very happy and do not miss the all-wheel. Now a question: The dealer has advised me to make an oil change after about 5 Tkm. Meaningful or just good for the workshop. Thanks for your opinion and already a nice weekend.

  • Horror accident V60

Today in MV a bad accident happened with a V60. Apparently frontal collision with trucks. So as far as the devastating consequences for the Volvo occupants are concerned, besides human suffering, this is a poverty test for Volvo. This has little to do with the brand’s security promise and the crash test promise in reality.

  • New used V60! D2 or D3?

Hello! I’m just a hard-working reader, but now it’s time for an article. I’ve been a Volvo fan for a little while – family reasons! I’m currently driving a C30 and I’d like to enlarge. Next I want a V60! I’ve got 2 variants in mind: 1. either a D2 2 or a D3 My budget is up to max. 10,000.-. I drive a lot of highway and therefore a diesel is indispensable. In my budget the Volvos already have approx. 100,000km to 140,000km The equipment is not very important to me. Only sitting heating would be wonderful! I know that the D2 is not the most powerful (have the engine in my C30 and Mama in her v50). In theory, however, it would be sufficient. I have read many articles on the topic of D2 and D3. My question is now – which engine is theoretically the longer life – D2 or D3? And switch or automatic? I look forward to your answers! LG from Cologne!

Hello together Have received mail today from mine where I was for the first time for the service last month. Should be valid for Volvos from the 8th year. Did Volvo have this new in the program now or did any of you already get this from his?
