Now that I like to drive my V40 (2003) also with the help of the MotorTalk community for many years, a new moose is to come. The model of choice would be a V70 D3 or D4 – budget up to 18,000 euros, 15,000 euros would be optimal => Euro 6 as a precautionary measure – low maintenance costs (previously 1.9 D with 5 l average consumption) – repair costs minimal (previously about 300 euros per year incl. tires at 20,000 km/year) Automatic and diesel are set. e underground garage ramp is steep and certainly does not comply with the standard. The V40 likes to put on the towing hook and it needs not only good driving technology but also the hand brake insert. Therefore, I am interested in the embankment angle and the ground clearance of the V70. With the right numbers I would also be helped (street between tire center and bumper or spoiler lip and the indication of the distance between ground and spoil rib or bumper.) An alternative family combi would be the Octavia III (13,4° angle of slope, but also a long overhang ahead). – Sport package: does this always mean lowering the V70? Maybe I will be helped here, in the Volvo operating instructions and technical specifications I searched for in vain. Thank you very much for the last years!

New tuner in the country
Hello dear Volvo municipality to all those who are looking for power there is a tuner who gets exactly as much power as the guys from Karlsruhe or Darmstadt the tuner( Mega Speed) near Düsseldorf after a long time I decided to optimize my Volvo S80 T6 ( 286 HP ) at .The best tuning I have experienced so far and these are some known. After a detailed conversation there was a before/after measurement on the performance test stand since I already had a two i have modified things with my Volvo ( 3 inch downpips and exhaust pipe without medium pot ,modified intake with sports air filter ) the input measurement yielded a power of 306.2 hp after chip tuning the subsequent measurement yielded it a power of 360,7 hp and the V max lock has been lifted so my moose now runs over 265 km/h according to GPS and that already over 20tkm. So I am completely satisfied and that at a price of 699.- Euro with the measurement you can certainly not complain . The ones in Darmstadt wanted 1200 euros and only for the V max lock. The ones in Karlsruhe have held me half a year and have given me no appointment does nothing but as I said I am now even glad that it has come this way and I have found a new tuner. P.s.: The torque has risen to 520 Nm so you can feel it right what is going on. Pictures I will try to upload) Mfg 132

Gear flushing according to Tim Eckart !
Hi together, I had my appointment yesterday for the transmission flushing according to the TE method. I drove almost 90 km to get to the Ölmann in Hannover-Langenhagen. And what should I say, I am very satisfied! Now after only approx. 120 km I already notice a delusional difference. The transmission now switches much softer and faster from one to the next gear and the jerking in the cold state (from the 2nd to the 3rd gear) is almost gone. So, I can the oil man but also really u nolimited recommend, the 440 Euro have been really worth it. With a mileage of just under 115 Tkm. Greetings, Michael

200,000 km with the V70 2,4D Mj. 2010
Now it’s time… The 200,000 km are full. Certainly not sensational, considering that some of my cars are on the road with 350,000 km and more, but for me it’s worth mentioning, because besides my sadly sold Saab 900 convertible (18 years owner) I haven’t driven any of my cars as long as the V70, because at some point something always bothered me so much after a few years that I sold the cars. In February it’s then 10 years of stopping time. n V70 in February 2012 with almost 27,000 km. There he was 22 months old. The car accompanied me/us until 5 years ago on a lot of long journeys through Europe. The last 5 years was then rather mixed traffic and now still 2-3 longer holiday trips a year. The V70 is still a comfortable long-distance car, even though there are now clearly modern cars. In terms of the long-term quality I can exhibit the V70 top marks. n chassis parts (even the notorious radiator carrier looks good) can’t be found on the car. Of course, my good care certainly prevents it. Visible wear in the interior also doesn’t exist, which speaks for the quality of the used materials in general good care. One would also lose the car 2 years. The technical reliability is very convincing. I have never had such a undemanding car before. The list of defects and wear repairs is very short. – Water cooler, water loss, 110,000 km – exhaust temperature sensor defective, approx. 130,000 km – thermostat defective, approx. 140,000 km. Presumably shot at the AU when cheering up. The next day the defect occurred. – Disk washer pump defective Otherwise: starter battery flat after 9 years, 1x brakes in front complete, 2x brakes in the rear complete, rear axle bushings new at approx. 180,000 km, a few tires, conversion to better xenon burner. The car is accurate checkheftgepfle with Volvo and gets a lot of care and preventive technical attention such as automatic transmission oil change with rinsing, servo oil change (nightly), early replacement of the auxiliary aggregator and air conditioning service. He thanks me with great daily reliability. So far every HU was without the slightest lack. I needed only 1x the ADAC because of the from now on on equally defective starter battery. As conclusion I can only say that (m)a V70 is probably basically a solid long-term car and i a bit of attention, mindfulness and careful handling makes many years of fun. I will simply continue driving the car and can advise anyone who wants to do the same, to allow their vehicle to enjoy regular maintenance and to pay a bit of attention to things outside of the service plan (gear oil change, servo oil change, climate service).

Battery
Hy Have a V60 2014 Bi-fuel. Just over 200tkm. He writes to me again and again “low battery stood”. Batteries are both changed. According to Volvo Workshop they do not have to be learned. Has been there several times. Can it be that the alternator enters? Lg

Rugging in cold condition
Good day, My XC70 D4 AT, BJ 2014 started a few months ago in cold conditions. This phenomenon comes only in cold conditions. In the first approx. 45 seconds after the engine start. The friendly couldn’t find anything. … Or he didn’t want to… It sounds as if the engine wanted to go out for a fraction of a second, then catches itself and runs normally. This morning he toiled for the first time directly at the system. Stuttered then also briefly. I Then everything was okay again. What could this be? Diesel filter I first exchanged… Best regards from Thomas

Display of lean mixture
Hello Volvo municipality, last Thursday my speed on the way to work began to behave strangely. With gear she commuted in the stand of 900 -1500 Umin. In idle it rose up to 2500 Umin. Later also the engine control started. When reading out came out, too lean mixture. When troubleshooting in the engine compartment I found a torn membrane in the crankcase ventilation. So ordered a new lid and built in. The speed problem is gone but the message with the lean mixture after a while. Can someone give me a hint where to look. The hoses are obviously all OK. MfG

D3/D4 AGR valve of multiple defects?
Hello, I am currently having a problem with my S80 D3 2L 120kW EZ 02/2012. The car showed me in the instrument cluster the warning message “motor system maintenance required”. For this reason the car was already at the Volvo dealer. After reading the fault memory, the car had identified the AGR valve as an offender. It was replaced on guarantee (Volvo-Select), but not the corresponding cooler and the tube to this. The tube was renewed and the cooler cleaned both au f meine Kosten(100Euro). The route during the workshop stay of 5 working days, so also the test drive was only 3 km, which seems very little to me. So much to the background history. Yesterday I picked up the car and since then I drove about 3 times 20km over land. On the last trip today the same error message came under full load again. In addition, it is to be mentioned that I generally drive two times 20km daily and all one to two weekends 200km every now and again z urück(ca. 25000km/year). So certainly not a pure short-range operation, which leads to the DPF never regenerating itself. However, I drive basically rather calmly and almost always in partial load operation. Now I am thinking about whether it makes sense simply to ride the engine too warm. With the distances of 20km it certainly does not come to operating temperature. Tomorrow the workshop can then reach again… let’s see what they tell. The workshop had originally also enjoyed a new AGR cooler. To be honest, I would not be very happy about the additional costs of 500-600 euros that I should be carrying. I bought the car from another Volvo dealer (about 120km away) before about 6500km and he now has 76000km on it. I would be very grateful about advice. Maybe someone had a similar problem. I also hope that the car will be running reliably again soon. I have the predecessor, a E-Class with 200tkm and after 11 years, actually out of concerns about cost and reliability given. Now having problems was not planned so and is also a pity, because I like the S80 otherwise very much in its characteristics. Oh yes.. the topic about the VEA(is that so?) I have read… because it is the “old engine” I did not want to hang on to it. If the part is identical, however, it would be interesting again…. Thank you Greeting Fini

CEM-B10EA12 PTC heating short circuit after 12V
Moin Volvoraner, my loyal elk (V70 III, 2012) has been reporting via ViDa for a long time: “CEM-B10EA12 Positive temperature coefficient heating. General electrical errors – circuit short circuit against battery” It’s probably about the electric auxiliary heater, which is supposed to heat the interior. I haven’t noticed any comfort restrictions yet, but maybe I’ve just used to it. To my question: Does anyone know the problem? Is there a simple solution (e.g. fuse defective or a The heater is obviously installed behind the center console and difficult to access. Here I would like to avoid unnecessary work. Who can help? Greetings Owl

Notification of oil change
Hallå. I would like to remove the message from the required oil change (see Appendix) at my V60. So far I have only found instructions with the pressing of the daily kilometer counter – because of my digital Ar-ma-tu-ren-ta-fel I lack this possibility to my knowledge. Is there any remedy for this?
