Hello, now that the purchase of the XC70 is supposed to go over the stage this month, I just remembered something: I drive primarily short distance (just 12km). At night the car is in the garage, in the office in a carport. The heater, which I would then take to warm up the engine is not so the best idea in the garage So I could only take it in the evening for the way home from the office. But then I would have to activate it by FB, because I never know when I will get out of the B And as I know myself, I rather forget it…. Furthermore, I need about 15-20 minutes for the 12km. And as I understand it, the heater only starts when the outside temperature is below 7°. So from the gut feeling I would say, then the heater kills me rather the battery and does not bring the benefit. Am I right there? Greeting Heiko Oh yes: The longer rides come then on the WE But then with full use. With me it is climbing and geocaching.

Upgrade Digital Instument Panel?!
Moin Moose Driver, I have to admit that I have gucked into the new TFT panel of the V40 and the MY14 models! Therefore (as everyone can surely think) my question now inevitably follows:Can one retrofit the “new” digital TFT panels or the complete “inlay” of the instrument panel in the older series? And if so, how much do you estimate the effort for such an operation? Ideally I hope that the version fits and you just unscrew the old panel and a And then the new panel has to plug in and screw in… The instruments are also in the older series (MY11-MY13) against the jargon no longer “analog instruments”, that’s all already digitized. Would be really great if someone can make a sound statement about it! Greetings from the coast, state

Presentation Volvo XC70 D4 FWD Black Edition
Hello, I have been active in the Volvo area for some time, but only because of my wife’s car. Until last year I was on the road in the Audi A5 area and wanted to switch to an XC60. Since I waited too long with the contract, no XC60 bearing vehicles were available and thus it became the Volvo XC70. Today was finally the handover of my first Volvo, an XC70 D4 FWD Black Editon. I drove today only a short while, but can already say that the car s the equipment of the car is as follows: color outside: twilight bronze color inside: anthracite automatic light package cargo compartment package family package parking aid front and rear speed-dependent power steering headrests foldable rear (electric) LM rims FREJA black 8.0 xd 18″ 235/50 R18 (summer) emergency wheel side and rear window darkened Additional equipment: LM rimsValder 235/55 R17 (winter) rubber footmats boot backcover mat Images of the interior mac next week I will drive a few kilometers and am curious how the difference to our V70 D4 with 5-cylinder and 6-speed automatic is. Persistent unknown dirt on windshield
Since I bought the Volvo XC70 1.5 years ago, I have the problem that my windshield on the driver’s side is heavily slammed. Interestingly, until the second wiper for the passenger’s side gets there. A picture says more than 1000 words so I attached one. Anyway, this is really dangerous because the view is very limited in the first few minutes after driving away. So what have I done about it: I drove into the washing machine. Mounted wipers from Bosch. I used SONAX washersPolitur intensively, brake cleaner, fuel and flushing water. None of this has even improved the problem, it shows no effect at all. Where does the fogging come from and what could be done about it?

Small inspection episodes
Hello After I got my V60 D5 from the inspection, the bill was looked at at at home, and hoppla it was changed the auxiliary aggregate belt at 82000 km exactly as in the year before with 70000 km. the next day it was called it was said that was broken and had to go out. On my question about warranty for this ridiculous mileage, no such parts there are none. and that although in the last two years I have been there for over 5000 Euro invoices at home I think it’s time for a new workshop.

Purchase request V60
Hello dear Volvo community, since our inherited car is slowly becoming uneconomical, I am considering a new purchase at the moment. Budget is 15000-17000 and I have been caring for a Volvo for a long time. Since I am now a small family, the new one should also have a little more charging capacity, but I think that a V60 is enough of space (even if the size of the trunk is often criticized). Now to my real question: Does it make sense to buy a Euro 5 diesel or Is this completely insane? There are currently good offers, e.g. a well-equipped D3 (Volvo Select certified) for almost 17000 EU with 65000 km. And what does this look like for me in general economic efficiency? My impression of Volvo is that purchase and repair are a bit more expensive, but the cars have to struggle with much less defects. Am I right? Then thank you very much for your opinions and comments, Andreas

1,200 km to the Atlantic and back
Just we come back from our winter holiday in Brittany and our XC 60 convinced us once again completely… It’s been a long ride to “the end of the earth” (Finstere): https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Département_Finistère But it was worth it and thanks to our Volvo ́s the long journey (13.5 hours incl. breaks) was also no problem. It was already mentioned many times but at this point again in capital letters: THE SITZE IN A VOLVO SIND EINFACH PERFECT”. e in my car vita some vehicles are already allowed to move on long poles / have to and in no vehicle I have brought such a route so relaxed behind me. Also, that we had to cover almost the whole route during the return trip in permanent rain was no problem. And also the first hours at night (we started at 04:00 clock) we got well behind us thanks to the great xenon light with the new driving light automatic. Consumption with our D5 AWD ware n on the total 3,500 km during our holiday with large Thule roof box plus 3 big dogs and luggage by the way lt. BC. 8,1 liter / 100km. So we are looking forward to the next summer holiday in Brittany which we will then (of course again with our XC 60) start with caravan 😉

No Flex+ service performed
Hello, I was with my V70 for maintenance at a Volvo specialist workshop to perform a Flex+ maintenance. Thankfully I was allowed to bring the oil myself which is a fine train of the workshop. When I wanted to pick up my V70 it was called the Volvo Flex+ on my vehicle can not be carried out, since Volvo would not accept it if the service intervals were not maintained. That was new to me so far Before that it had never had problems with the acceptance of the Flex+ Servi I had to pay the full higher normal inspection costs and I didn’t get a Volvo Assistance either. But I bit my tongue to avoid any stress. They are really nice people. I drive the 30000km and have a service only then and not only after reaching the 12 months. So I don’t quite follow the Volvo rule. I’m then lying between 13 and 18 months. Do you have s I couldn’t find anything like that on the homepage, which excludes Flex+ except for the exception of different models. ** This performance is valid for all Volvo models from 1999, except C70 -05, S/V40 -03 and XC/V70 -00 Greetings. This performance is valid for all Volvo models from 1999, except C70 -05, S/V40 -03 and XC/V70 -00

Rubber mats for XC 60
Hello Volvo community, it’s happened in search of a compact SUV have landed again at Volvo. An XC 60 from 2011 with the D5 AWD and the 215 HP machine and the R-design. The car is well maintained, but will now have to endure a little more signs of wear in the long run with our two dogs. In addition, about Ebay there are various offers of rubber mats as a set of four from different suppliers. Has someone experience with it and can tell me What should I pay attention to? Or better buy from Volvo as original accessories? Thank you for your tips. Greeting Sheila
