  • Generator-free run XC60, time, costs, or yet in self-direction ?

Hello Volvogemeinde, My XC60 2012 215ps diesel has a defective freewheel generator. In two weeks I have large inspection however… The local has put down the belt, since his opinion can every moment the freewheel completely goodbye and there could also become dangerous for engine (???) I is a riddle what could damage there the engine, maybe wanted to impress me. Now I got from the man a suggestion, about 650€ for a freewheel, spanner, climate belt. Everything at 3,6h a little long and expensive I find. My elk has around 150000km. What is necessary to change and what are the fair costs ? Is this hard to get the light machine down ? Can you get those up or rather from below ? Am former car electrician, maybe I should dare, but if too much fummelei at bad access. This car drives my wife and of it depends on her mood, therefore guys … … please, helps the poor Greeks ??

  • V70 2.0D – Electronics Failure while driving for fraction of a second (CEM?) / VIDEO

Hello together, a friend recently added a used V70 2.0D from 2009 with approx. 213.000km. The car has an interesting problem: In case of running engine (in stand or while driving) suddenly all lamps light up in the speedometer, the central locking is controlled and the lamps of the buttons in the center console go on for a fraction of a second. The speed drops and the “DSTC on” message arrives, similar to after the engine start. It seems as if the onboard electronics for a fraction of a second lose voltage. I have the impression this is related to the current decrease… (e.g. when the windscreen wiper runs). See attached video. Reading out the car brings three errors: POT (Heck valve module) – U300316 battery voltage. General electrical errors. Current circuit voltage under threshold DDM (driver door module) – B110A11 driver’s side rear door central locking motor. General electrical errors. Short circuit to mass CEM (central electronic module) – B10EA14 positive temperature response.

  • Current circuit diagram for the crankshaft sensor KWS at CNG different?

Hello together, can anyone tell me if the KWS is running over the controller of Prins? Or if the signal is picked up on the way? A circuit diagram of KWS at the 2.5T with CNG would be great. Background is this: Volvo had changed the sensor in January, because ECM-P033500 occurred permanently and I still have problems with the ride (complete dropouts and start problems, both in cold or “half warm” engine). After a month this error occurs again very violently. I would like to look very much for cable breakage and mass contact errors. I don’t want to think about a mistake in the control unit at the moment. I have found a company now, which specializes in such troubleshooting. Even Volvo would hate to get there.

  • Outer mirror on the right does not work

Hej Motortalkler, I have just got a problem with my XC 60 MJ 14 from 09/2013 (currently 16500km). The right exterior mirror works on a case-by-case basis when locking and also via the door keys does not work. On the left, on the right, only a short “rugger” is standing. I tried to fold it out of the normal position with my hand, again, so it is locked in. And very important: doesn’t always appear, then it doesn’t work, then again a day, can’t recognize a typical frequency, most likely temperature (i.e. in the heat rather not, but that’s still uncertain) Just asked my workshop by phone, there should be an update?! For me this looks like a mechanical problem, it can still be a software matter. Has anyone had that already, what the “insiders”? Freue me about info’s! LG Forrestking

  • Maintenance-friendliness V70 III

I’ve been driving my Volvo V70 II for 2.5 years now. Overall, I’m super satisfied with the car, because there were only a few repairs and they were always done very well by myself. Reperature-friendliness is very important to me. With the V70 II, screws have never been totally screwed and I have rarely broken away any plastic part. I like many solutions such as the fixing of the door panels by means of reusable push pins. But what bothers me very much about the car is the huge turning circle as well as the high seating position or the low front window. So I don’t hit the sky with my 1.9m head for a long time, but the view outside is very limited, so I always have to bow down to traffic lights. Therefore I wanted to look at the successor V70 III times. I’ve already read a lot about this, but I could hardly find any estimates about the maintenance-friendliness. How does it look like, can anyone tell me here whether he is as nicely maintenance-friendly as the V70 II or even difficult to repair?

  • Question about V70 III

With my last company car, the (old) V70 has fallen out of the decision, because I liked the chassis and the Volvo sports seats too soft and wobbly. I know that many like it, but I feel that it is unsightly. Nevertheless, the old V70 was very nice and the same applies to the V70. Since I have to look around for a new company car soon, I ask at this point, if with the new model at Volvo something in terms of chassis and seats In my view, or, in principle, everything has remained the same in this respect.

  • Questions V60

Hello! After unsatisfactory afforestation of Sufu 113 hits I would like to ask if there are more recent experiences with test drives with a V60 T4. In this context I would like to mention that it annoys me that my intended and preferred D3 has only a single-flood exhaust system, which makes the rear view rather unsightly compared to a D5/T4 with two-flood system and chrome blinds. I want to leave the design package for both versions outside. What is the technical reason for a one-flood or two-flood exhaust system ???? Is a cost difference after a few years when exchanging e.g. because of corrosion? Who can share his knowledge and the experiences with us with the T4 ?? Greetings to everyone !

  • Delivery times V60

Here I opened a thread for the delivery times of the new Volvo V60. In the last days I ordered some of them a V60 and the others got a delivery date. You might know this thread by the “delivery times XC60 MJ 2011” thread, which is why I opened it. I did not order one because I got my XC60 DRIVe 4 months ago, but I like the V60 so much that I would order one already. But I will only do that in 3-4 years. So those who ordered a V60 and have their delivery date–> list. LG from Luxembourg Ben

  • Purchase advice and 100 questions about the V70 2.5T

Hello, I am looking for a young used station wagon, and I like the Volvo V70 in addition to Mercedes E-Class and Audi A6. Now I have found the following model at mobile.de, for which I certainly have 100 questions …. KLICK What do you think of the price for the V70 in general? OK? Bargains? Normal? On the one hand you are looking for the bargain, of course, on the other hand it is sometimes strange that a car like here is for sale after 14 months and only 14,000km. I am a bit confused by the performance data given in the mobile.de advertisement. There is V70 2.5T and 147 kW / 200 hp. Not only with the car, that is also found with other V70 2.5T. On Volvo.de, however, I find the V70 2.5T only with 170 kW / 231 hp. Just the same CO2 emissions, which are not completely unimportant for the taxes: In the mobile.de listing only about 148 g/km, according to Volvo.de at 2.5T 232 g/km. Are there information about mobile.de or Volvo. Although there was not one wrong?
