Good evening together, since today with my V70 the engine of my electric tailgate says unfortunately no more mux. The lock is fine, there is the tailgate free and pulls also again when closing. Only the engine does nothing more. The first look went now towards safety. According to the manual it is the no. 20. That is the yellow or? Does anyone know what the blue 20s does at the bottom right? Should this not be objective, I have seen that the engine is among others at Skandix pro Is there a guide on how to change the engine or a link? I haven’t found it yet. I changed the dampers myself about 9 months ago, that was no problem at the time. I am very grateful for tips. Greeting from Dresden.

Change fuel transport unit
Hello dear Schraubergemeinde, I drive a Volvo V70 lll Kombi Mod. 2010 Gasoline, in which apparently the fuel gear unit has failed and the car does not start. The workshop did not examine the car at all, but told immediately that it is the transport unit, because practically all gasoline engines of this year of construction have this weak point and most have already been replaced. However, since it would have been full order books for the next 6 weeks, he could not tell me, Since I occasionally screw myself he said that the exchange was not a “witching plant” and I would probably manage it myself. But I should immediately renew the last cable end to the pump unit with, otherwise the next failure would be pre-programmed. Now the question arises, do I have to expand the tank in order to get to the unit, or is there a possibility from the inside under the rear bench, as with the previous models? ng and can help me. From previous posts, I have the impression that competent advice is given in this forum.

Four-C shock absorber replacement sought
In my XC70 (2012) the Four-C shock absorber has recently passed away. (Four-C maintenance required). In the workshop it was found that the integrated solenoid valve in the right damper is broken. The replacement of both shock absorbers on the front axle is necessary. The cost only for the dampers would amount to approximately 1500 euros – therefore I would like to find out if there is more favorable replacement in the free market. The OEM manufacturer of dampers is Monroe – an accurate product The friend can’t help me here because he only installs original parts. Does anyone have a plan here?

Experiences and purchase advice Volvo V70 III
Hi guys, I’m planning to buy a new car and I’m going to love it with a Volvo V70 III. I’d like to open a discussion on V70 as a used car and hope for your opinions and experiences. Here are a few questions I’m asking myself. I’m going to number them for the sake of simplicity. So everyone can comment on the questions he’s had his own experience on. Apart from that, I’m also happy about other comments or general experiences with the car. In advance, I would like to thank you for your help and look forward to a lively discussion 😉 baruscha91 Questions: 1) Generational differences: Apart from the optics, what are the most important differences between the second and third generation of the V70 for you. Has the latest generation built in important improvements, or have so many quirks been added to it? Are there significant differences between facelift and non-facelift within the third generation? ? 2) Diesel engine D5: How good is the D5? What is the life expectancy of the engine? I currently have a car in mind, whose D5 with 215 hp after 4 years has almost 200,000 km on the hump. Too much of the good? The car is built at the end of 2011, so the engine should be the D5244T11 or the D5244T15, even though I don’t know where the difference lies between both models. Is there any experience with both? 3) When buying: What are typical weaknesses of the V70? What should you pay special attention to when buying a used car? What should you pay special attention to with a mileage of 200,000 km? 4) Equipment: Which equipment would you not want to do without anymore? What would you not order anymore, because it is unnecessary or completely. likes to break and then becomes expensive? 5) Fuel consumption: How reliable are the factory specifications. Found here a D5, which is at 215 hp with (according to the manufacturer) 5.2L per 100km. Where are the actual values with mixed driving methods? 6) Follow-up costs: What about Volvo with costs for spare parts and services? I am used to BMW and consider there some spare parts prices as impertinence. Do you have to grab the bag with Volvo just as strongly or are the Swedes a bit more satisfying?

Diesel consumption at XC70 D5 BJ 03/2012
Hello all, I bought a 4 year old XC70 D5 with 215hp. According to the manufacturer, the car should consume 5.6l in a third mix. I realize that this will be very difficult to reach. Today I drove the first km (2x10Km) highway and some city (2 ampelstops). So the engine was warm. The boron computer now shows a cut-through consumption of 10litres. Can be that. I drove absolutely human. He car stood 4 months at the dealer. He has 80tkm and makes a very well-kept impression. A customer service was also made new. Oh yes, and the car has start-stop automatic. Actually, he should go out after uncoupled at the traffic lights, but he doesn’t. Who can help me? Greet Tom

Clutch in V70 III defective after 80,000 km
Hello guys, I recently had a passing clutch in the V70 III D5 year 07/2009. Car was driven only on long distances and gently. At my “old Sweden”, a V70II D5 it was still ok after 385,000 km. Now at the new and greatest possible protection she says goodbye with 81.000. Has only started the soot particle filter cleaning cycle to reach through, 6th gear, mountain high with 1800 rpm. Now, 2,000 km later she did it just like that. Had already noticed, since ss the pressure point comes later, but I didn’t think anything about it. According to the travel book, 40,000 km of highway are included, without a single switching process. Has anyone ever had similar experience? I read in the forum that there was an XC60 with similar behavior. The Volvo workshop thinks I should first watch it when it gets worse, then replace the clutch. No guarantee anymore… Greetings Michael

Defective heating
A few days ago my standard heater gave up the spirit. My XC60 is now almost a year old and I had no problems so far. At first the heater only started for a short time, about 5min with a quiet pump or fan gyro, but the typical firing of the burner didn’t come. No error message, just abort. Then came the message via the VOC app on’s mobile phone(“Bug: pre-climate due to necessary maintenance by Volvo aborted”. In the course of the day, “fuel-powered heating maintenance required” appeared in the AI. The message now appears every time after starting and the box takes forever to get warm (about 10km of highway). Does anyone have any idea what the cause might be? The days and nights before the failure it was relatively cold (below -10°C). Could it be due to bad diesel (sulphurization) or what else is going on at the SHZ?

Top speed V70 MY2015 2.0T VEA T5 245PS
Moin, last year I had a VOLVO V70 run as a shuttle vehicle in the United Arab Emirates with the 2 litre VEA engine (T5, 245hp). He lacks e.g. the sport mode, he has only “Eco” and “normal”. He also gives a “speed warning” when over 120 km/h. As a top speed he reaches “only” 220 km/h at approx. 6.000 rpm, registered in the vehicle certificate are 235 km/h. Zero oil consumption, fuel consumption smaller 8 litres/100 km, acceleration felt g ut. mileage lt. Tacho (…) current 210,000 km. Does anyone know anything about a limitation by SW to a maximum speed of taxi vehicles? Or is the v_max limited? I want to exclude the SW as a cause before I go looking for other causes in the friendly…

Brake disc front crook
Moin together! I drive a Volvo V60 CC (9101/BCC) with the first registration 08/2017. I wrung the car as an annual car over Volvo 07/2018 with about 22,000 km. On the vehicle there are tracks mounted by the company Heico as well as an increase in performance. At the beginning I did not pay attention, however, so at about 60,000 km (summer 2019) fell on the driving wheel to vibrate / wobble / slag at the start of the start of the braking / downbrakes from 160/140/120 km/h. Did the blocks and discs in February b However, not with the friendly but so with accessories “Zimmermann”. Yes, the saddle was sufficiently cleaned. Now in 08/2020 at approx. 78000 km the same problem occurs again. On request with the nice Volvo uncle it is of course the “cheap” accessory goods with originals that would not happen! Short to the driving profile – approx. 30,000 predominantly rural road 120 cruise control. Daily the same work path with about 55 km. Normal braking – no full braking The front was not blue at the time and is not now, but we suspect “Kruimm” again. Well, the question is, is the brake too weak for my almost 2 tons ship or what can I change? Should I really buy original blocks and discs ? It is not a company car I pay the party alone. Gruss Dirk
