Hello With my wife’s car, the yellow engine light went on with her XC60 D3. Because the way to the next workshop is not so easy, I connected a tester, got the message “P04D9 Drivetrain”. This leads to problems with the AGR. Whether the new cooler was installed here already, and whether the software at the last stand is devoid of my knowledge. The car is 03/2016 and had 35tkm after a year on it. At present it is 52tkm. So he is almost 3 years old. I deleted the error and drove a lap. At the same time the error did not occur any more. Is this normal? Blöd now, of course, if I will present it now without obvious problems at the workshop …. Another idea: Just before the error occurred my wife had taken a few meters with her when reversing a tilted mist bucket (mulley for all not Austrians). Maybe something was damaged there? Can’t imagine it, but who knows? Am grateful for tips!

Exhaust gas test 2018
Moin Leutz, Since January it is also mandatory for the years of construction 2006 and younger again to have the AU carried out by tailpipe measurement. IMHO with diesel always a psychological burden for the moose shepherd :-/ Has anyone already had experience with the old measuring method at the younger moose? VG Malte

Dirt trap on V 70 III
Hello, how do dirt catchers look on the V70 III, does it look like an “Opa car”? These things are shown in ACCESSORIES with a small picture, but not the whole vehicle. Color of my V70 is black metallic, the rags are also black. With the current salinity of the roads, my elk looks like a salt spreader even after a short drive. Are there possibly pictures of the whole car? Friendlyst Günter

Large-scale inspection
Hello, next week I’m allowed with my XC60 D5 to 210′ customer service. I only got 120′, but it would be due now. I was told that this would be a big inspection with fuel filter etc…. Can someone tell me what to get? Unfortunately I found nothing in the search…. Thank you, greetings

Lock indicator XC 70 (blinking diode)
In our V40 we have “A flashing diode on the windshield confirms that the vehicle is locked. – > Locking indicator according to the manual. And somehow I don’t get rid of the feeling that my XC 70 MY11 did it once. But as I said, it’s a subjective impression. And in none of the operating instructions does anything appear… What does this look like for you? Thanks for the feedback.

Cup holder V60 Facelift
Hello all, the current model V60 has horny light rings in the cup holders in the center console. Does anyone have any idea if this can be retrofitted with the previous model?? If so, what does it cost??? Thank you for all the hints!

Solid oil exchange interval 15,000km with 2.4D useful?
I have bought the Volvo V70 MJ 2009 only half a year ago and so far very satisfied with the Ocean Race. This one has the 2.4D with 2400cc and 120kw in it. Only 2 things are not quite satisfactory: The ZV closes the rear left or does not open, probably the magnetic coil is too weak, the pin twitches always something, however, does not jump over. The second is the heavy steering in the stand, whereby only from approx. 1500 rpm-1 uses the steering power support. But that’s not my topic. Now in the information display the message “Sign up for service!” appears. The last oil change was made on 28.08.2015 at 248.400km. Now there are 261,200km on it. That’s a difference of 12.800km. That’s clearly too early! Also in the majority of city traffic. In the engine room is attached a sticker, which the oil quality ACEA A5/B5 with the viscosity SAE 0W-30 is always possible. Now my question is: I can’t a Audi A6 TDI 120kw took the interval to the oil fill up again. But I didn’t the oil fill up too cheaply the oil.

Our first Volvo……worses us.
Hello, our Volvo V70 D5 MY2012, now 57000km is worrying us. The following problems we had were buying (Volvo dealer) at the time 52000km. – Front disc leaks, it dripped water into the passenger room. Has been fixed by the Volvo dealer. Disc out and re-glued. – Then a short time later the climate compressor was wide. Has Volvi dealer replaced. – Then we had some cool water stains on our patch. Volvi dripped out now. Has also been fixed at the friendly. And now, my wife was traveling 100km, home arrived the car said no more mucks. Battery dead? Tomorrow again Volvi call. It sucks slowly. All these incidents occurred between November 2014 and today. Volvo already does not charge us any more for the many car hire cars we have received. All errors were repaired without any repair. Warranty runs until November this year. What do you need to change?

Upgrade V70 III heater with Volvo Oncall remote control
Unfortunately, I don’t get the expensive paid OnCall remote control for the ERS heating in my V70 in Austria activated due to legal concerns. Is there someone here who knows how / where I come to retrofit a classic pre-heater with OnCall and CAN integration? The material is with approx. 6,700,- in the list (excl. installation). My dealer would give it to me due to the wrong order for 3,500,- and install it. Compared to 1250,- ex factory (incl. installation) however, this does not seem to me particularly favorable. Does anyone know a cheaper source? LG Rudi

Finally an S80II D5
I just have to share my joy and enthusiasm. I have been looking for a nice S80 II for a few years now, just until recently it shouldn’t be yet. Every time I let myself get carried away, something different/smaller to buy. But now it was time. On Friday I picked up my S80 II from the dealer. Although it is a little older and does not have the mega equipment, but it was attractive and technically and optically very well maintained for its mileage of just under 180tkm. The motorization also hits me from the stool. The D5 in conjunction with the 6-speed manual transmission allows very comfortable and powerful movement. As a meaty Volvofan and driver I simply couldn’t leave it at the dealer’s after the test drive. It was a bit difficult to hand over my C30 DrivE but it was worth it. Really a super car. Volvo halt
