Since this cold weather, have the phenomenon that I get the message, stop immediately, cooling water level too low. Also true, but when I do the pressure compensation, i.e. open the lid of the balance tank, the stand rises again to maximum. My dealer told me to fill in a little bit about maximum, because the system is very receptive. Maybe someone has experienced the same thing? Is actually fine, but it is not really satisfying. In such a situation I really want a cooling water temperature indicator, if I imagine that someone has no idea and therefore calls the ADAC, no, there is an advertisement already helpful. Greetings Shaolin

Tyre pressure control system in the Volvo XC60
Have you ever read anything about an optional tire pressure control system? Is there any such thing at all with Volvo? If yes how does it work? Greetings A waiting XC60 buyer

My XC60 – He’s barely Chinese, he’s already giving up… 🙁
Evening together Well, what can I say. Unfortunately, our XC went on a strike… The days I read through the thread of manatee full of horrors and prayed to heaven that our XC is spared… Now he doesn’t want any more. Ok, he’s still running! But how…! I say this: My Smart is now a Formula 1 racer compared to the XC… Yesterday morning on the way to work he drove quite normally. At noon on the way home he didn’t want to be so right. I turned on the car, got out of the parking garage (where you drive normally slowly) and wanted to give gas on the road. Nix was… The car had no more power! “0 on 100” unlodly loosely 1 min. Mountain high was at 40 end. I think that he drives in a kind of emergency running program…!?!? After a few minutes it was gone again and he drove again quite normal. At a traffic light I turned off the car. Again started and again no power. The BC was watching! When I was “accelerated” with gas I had passed through a current consumption of 7,8l. So it just accelerates. But then it was gone for a short time! What I find strange is that there is no control light or any other message coming… Then I tried again in the evening! Again the same! At first no performance and then he drove again quite normal! In the morning I had only fuelled! At first moment I thought that I idiots might be petrol instead of Diesel fuelled… But the receipt has taken stock! It was diesel! Unless the gas station got the tank wrong or something… Now I have a date friendly on Monday. Let’s see what comes around. Has any of you ever experienced something more similar with its D5 or can I give me a tip? Thank you very much and have a nice evening still…

Inspection costs – cheap? expensive? alternatives?
Hello Leuts, yesterday my V70 3.2 registered with me, he would like to see the workshop of the. Since I was angry, I first obtained a cost estimate. Order should consist of 60,000 inspection + brake lining changes in front and back. Here you find the offer as pdf (all prices net) Of course also the buyer (my profession ) comes through with me and asks: “is it cheaper”? That’s why I thought and came to the following result (positions en 1. O.K. 2. Kleinkram, O.K. 3. Comparison price Brand product with activated carbon ca. 27.50 euro net (18 euros saved) 4. O.K. 5. Kleinkram, O.K. 6. completely identical oil at the oil dealer ( www.kasotec.de ) for 7.52 euro net per litre ( 52 euros saved) 7. O.K. 8. Volvo calls 70.37 EUR net. Know what the identical coverings cost at Ford (are installed at the S-Max 2.5T: 90 EUR. comparable from Lukas/TRW costs 47 Euro (24 euros saved) 9. Kleinkram, O.K. 10. O.K. K. 11. Volvo calls 97.71 EUR net. You know what the identical coverings at Ford cost (are installed at the S-Max 2.5T: 123 EUR . comparable from Lukas/TRW costs 63 Euro (35 Euro saved) means: for a bit unpopular with the Volvo dealer you save over 150 Euro. For that I can go to dinner with my friend, the son man buy a bicycle, me a pair of shoes or a cord-sakko ( ) what do you mean? Greetings, Eric

Wheel size V70 III 16-17-18
Hello dear moose drivers, in line with the beginning of the winter tire period I have a completely inappropriate question 😉 I will now have new winter tires (225/55 R16) mounted on the original 16 inch Volvo rim, on which they should stay. For optical reasons I would like to mount new rims in 17 or 18 inch for the summer tires in spring. My tyre dealer advised me against the 18 inch tires, because they wear off probably faster and I or the moose very many kilometers fr How are your experiences with 17 or 18 inch tyres than 225/50 R 17 or 225/45 R 18 ? Is a higher wear noticeable ? How much harder will the V70 be due to the low cross-sections ? Of course this is very subjective, but a feedback would still not be uninteresting.

V60 leather seats without seat heating
Hello community, my brother-in-law recently bought himself a fancy V60 as an annual car. He has all the buckles in it. Of automatic, rear-view camera etc… BUT with his leather seats there is no seat heating!? I actually didn’t want to believe it at all and I looked for the button for it. Unfortunately in vain… After a question to the seller this was confirmed again. I really didn’t expect that there would still be such a thing in this price segment in 2011. Well, anyway. My question now would be whether the seat heating is already integrated in the leather seats and “only” the cables to the control unit are missing, or if you have no chance to retrofit there afterwards. Maybe this is also easily activated by OBD2 or similar? So that you only have to buy the button? Does anyone know that? Thanks for your answers. Ciao pyro

Upgrade V70 alarm system
Hello, my V70 was hit in the underground garage a few days ago and the driver’s airbag was stolen. Although the deadlock function of the doors prevented the door from opening, the thief climbed through the window and left a hole in the steering wheel (see system) and a lot of pieces in the car. Short and crisp: I will equip my elk with an alarm system, so I need tips from you on what can be installed there. Actually, I thought: I will equip my elk with an alarm system. yes, no one steals a Volvo anyway, but has now been taught a better one. Since I am technically an absolute nerd, a self-installation is so not in question. Can someone advise me about a product or better still, can possibly the original Volvo alarm system be retrofitted? Thank you in advance for your (hopefully) numerous answers!

Consumption V70 III, D5, 205 hp, AWD
Hello together, Here’s something about consumption (and two other things) of my new V70 D5, 205 hp, AWD. After about 5,000 km I can’t reach it under 9.5 l/100 km even with the most economical driving method. I drive about 40 to work every day, of which about 25 km are motorways. I have little hope that this is because the car has not yet entered properly. Can’t imagine that the consumption is still significantly down. I notice, however, that the engine is so low from about 30/35 km I have the feeling that it takes quite a long time to get really warm… In addition, the vehicle has a terrible smell every 1-2 weeks, like burnt oil/diesel. (definitely not coming from the heater). I was lucky and could show this to the dealer last Saturday, along with light smoke from the engine room. After a few minutes i The heater is still extremely loud when it closes, or I start the heater manually. My dealer will check the vehicle from tomorrow, then we’ll see what happens. Maybe it all hangs together somehow, but maybe they don’t even find anything. I’ll keep you up to date. Greeting Georg
