  • XC 60 Heating power

    Dear forum! I have problems with the heating power of my car and would like to get to the bottom of the matter. Although the heating is very fast, after a kilometer lukewarm air comes out of the heating system. But unfortunately this lukewarm air does not get much warmer even after longer driving. I was yesterday in the workshop where the software was checked and no problem was found (everything without calculation and under guarantee). I would be interested if some have the same problem or if one has to accept the nevertheless weak heating power. Lg Michael H.

  • V70 2.4 D “upgrading”?

    Hello community of moose drivers. We have ordered a V70 2.4 D summum now. We already have an XC 90 D5 185 HP. The engine in the XC is quite enough. My question, is the 2.4 D identical with the D5, since it also has 5 cylinders? Because of my experience with Volvo (Standheizung installed but not unlocked) the question arises to me whether I can “upgrad” the 2.4 l to a D5 with a software setting? Or is a chip tuning possible? Do not need a racing car! But if a simple setting would release the remaining horses would be nice. Thank you for your answers. By the way: Have driven the XC60 2.4 D. Super! Entry good. View almost like in the XC 90. Then we decided for V70. Because, more space in the trunk for the dog and even if the XC60 looks nice, the V70 represents for me one of the best combo`s – price/performance/look – sometimes the XC60 looks (from the distance) like a “toything”, so not a proper Srio for the XUV, but for the Munich.

  • Four-C is what you need?

    Hello, I’m thinking about getting a V70 D5. From the V70 I I is still aware that the chassis is too soft, especially at higher speeds. It could happen that you have dived away the outer front wheel in fast curves and a little soft around. However, this has been done with the chassis at the current V70 III. Nevertheless, I am thinking about whether the Four-C makes sense or whether you need that? Does all this only have advantages or are there practical disadvantages in addition to higher repair costs also compared to a standard suspension, which should be considered? So how do your practical/theoretical experiences look at this ??

  • Questions about the new purchase XC70

    Hello, after I’ve been angry long enough with my Frenchman I want to buy the XC 70 now. I’m still thinking about the following points: Type of leather seats and motorization I would like to choose the perforated seats in chestnut brown, but recently I heard from an acquaintance that the perforation with dust and leather care products can increase and the ventilation performance decreases. Is that true? How is the durability of these seats? I drive my cars if they do not cause any problems, actually 8-10 years and for so long the seats should have a good condition. Since I will often travel with my big dogs in the trunk, the luggage should be accommodated on the rear seats. Does the leather suffer? I had so far only fabric seats, which made this unscathed with the engine. During the motorization I still swan between T5 with 245 Ps or D4 with 181 Ps; each as automatic. The costs for the steering and fuel I leave on the outside when I think about which engine fits better to the car?

  • V70III D5, MY 08 -> Rust!?

    Hello, my elk now found 2 rust spots on the body after the “winter”, which make me agree: 2 each about 50 cent-sized bubble groups, 1 x on the right rear door sill, 1 x on the right rear edge of the wheel box. The paint surface is naturally undamaged at the said places, i.e. the rust definitely comes from “below”. I’m not used to rust from Volvo (my first model was a 745 GLT 16V). My question is: Who has similar problems with rust at the CAROSSERIE(!) ? Please no comments on rust at various other places (strike under the dashboard, screws in the engine compartment, hinges etc.) – it is exclusively about rusting on painted surfaces of the body! For statements or conjectures I would be grateful! Gruss Axel

  • My first Volvo (XC60) ordered

    Hej hej, my name is Martin and I’m new here in the forum. So far I was a silent reader. This will change now. After a long time of thinking, many hours of research, pondering and after three test drives it happened today. I ordered my first Volvo from my dealer. It’s going to be an XC60. I’m still euphorized and the feeling will not fade away so quickly. I decided for the following configuration: XC60 D4 FWD with manual gearbox Summum Business Package Pro with High Performance Sound Driver Assistance Package Loading Space Package Light Package Xenium Package Digitial Radio Reception Coating Inscrition Electric Silver Metalic 19″ Fenrir Leather Sports Seats – Anthrazit, Roof Sky – Quartz Grey Side and rear window darkened Side and rear window made of composite glass Stand Heating Air Quality System (with MJ2015 series) I caught the MJ2015. Delivery date June (non-binding). In the KW16 or KW17 my dealer can say more, then the MJ 2015 is unlocked.

  • Volvo On Call – Error “Cannot reach your Volvo”

    I have the problem with my V70 that I have had problems with Volvo On Call (VOC) since delivery in May. Screenshot from the app in the system. Actually, the problem is not so bad as long as my heating doesn’t work and I don’t really need this expensive additional equipment (http://www.motor-talk.de/…/…ernbetrieb-nachruesten-t5133664.html), but it would be nice if the thing also worked. For months I have always had problems with the connection and if I call the diagnosis in the menu without exception always the error message as in the screenshot. Does anyone have an idea what I could do there? I only heard from the dealer that this must be on my mobile phone and will be consoled for months. I have a Samsung S4, so quite a common phone.

  • Is Volvo pulling its customers off?

    Hello the following situation In July of this year I bought a new XC 60 and immediately made myself smart in the Volvo wheel configurator because of the price of winter bikes.the former price for the “SEGIN” or “VALDER” rim with NOKIAN winter tire was 1289 Euro and the dealer said in Sept/October he always ran an action with -10%.was today at the dealer and now cost the same wheels ( also in the configurator on the Volvo side ) 1578 Euro, minus the percent of my dealer is then 1420 Euro. Now my question – is it so usual at Volvo the complete wheel just before the summer/winter consciously become more expensive to rip off the customers ?

  • Presentation: V70 III follows V70 II accident

    The damage to my V70 II was bigger than expected and so it was quickly established that a replacement car had to be purchased. Actually, no car purchase was planned at the moment, on the contrary, the inspection was made, including new brake discs/covers, new sensor PDC as well as new actuator throttle flap. As we are mostly very satisfied with our Volvo, the decision for a V70 was quickly decided. I had once thought of a brand change – but it did not lead to more than one search online. So booty scheme switched to Volvo only. Within two weeks, I dug off the stock exchanges and various dealer sides, ran various phone calls and now felt like every V70 III diesel with automatic in Germany. Due to the price situation in the Rhine-Main area I had to drive a few kilometers, but what should ́s it. It has become a D5 from 7/2008, Momentum with a few extras. No longer important was a sliding roof, it was used by the predecessor as well as never. A standing heater I still have to retrofit, then it is complete. Until now I am very pleased to see some of the car, Hagel’s damage, I wanted to see a lot…

  • “Fast” new moose in Bavaria – and two questions

    Hello together, first of all thanks for this great forum! It made the waiting time for my new XC60 more bearable and can already answer many questions or give tips! Great, continue like this! I drive since the beginning of May (therefore the “almost new” in the headline) an XC60 D5 AWD summum (Automatik, Saville Grau, Xenium package, family package, darkened disks etc). I am, and that as a changer of the X3, absolutely enthusiastic! Two small questions I would have to the community however still: 1.) Can you adjust the TMC radio station in the Navi menu manually, or change it? 2.) The following situation : I drive home in front of the garage, music nice loud, and put the car off. So select lever on “P”, start/stop – engine goes off – SCHLÜSSEL ABGEZOGEN – the music “pluttert” but unprinted and only then I open the driver door (after about 1 -2 seconds) I have thought that if I do not have the key, but actually have heard a greeting from the radio and I want to start the radio.
