  • Once again the prize theme

Hello together, I would like to say in advance that I have already read some threads on this topic, but they have not satisfied me. So please don’t answer with ‘we already here and here and here’… Thank you So, I am still X3 driver and am looking for a new one at the moment. From BMW, Audi, etc. I’m annoyed by their pricing / equipment policy, so I’m looking over the edge of the box. So now I’m here… Now I’ve configured ‘my’ XC60 and come to your German LP of almost 61,000€. Then I thought that the price would have to be a lot lower with this manufacturer as a re-import. So I’m looking for re-import dealers and confiscating. Of course I thought that the equipment can be another, but at the end I got the same equipment together. The price was then close to 56,000€. Ggü. the German model ‘only’ a difference of 5,000€ (approx. 8.5%). Of course, both prices are untraded. Now my question: I’s the ‘normal’, the price is low and the price is always fixed.

  • Test drive S60 2.0T Powershift

Since I have a new V70, I wanted to try out the combination 2.0T Powershift. Since this combination as a V70 demonstration car was not possible, I tried a S60 2.0T Powershift. So far I had a V70II 2.5T Geartronic and a V70III 2.5T Geartronic. Of the PS power are indeed 2.0T and 2.5T identical, so I thought it could fit quite well. Gebriebe: I have found no difference between Geartronic and Powershift. Powershift has the same memory seconds, is in my opinion neither faster nor slower in switching. Motor: In the range up to 120 km/h very lively and convincing at lt. onboard computer lower consumption than the 2.5T. It’s really fun, also with corresponding sound. Unfortunately, from 130 it will be a bit tough and louder, especially when accelerating uphill, from 170 it will be very tough compared to the 2.5T. If I have my full-packed V70 with 4 people, holiday luggage, ski and holiday purchases on the highway, or when overtaking my BL60 was well equipped on the road, but now very nice to order.

  • New Volvo driver/driving report V60 Drive Ocean Race

Hello, since last Friday it’s time: now I drive Volvo V60 in Ocean Race equipment (previously Audi A3 Sportback 1.8 TSI with 7-speed double clutch gearbox). I have to say, the DRIVE is great. I was very skeptical about 115 hp and 270 NM at first, but far from it. The car drives lively, for me sufficiently fast, top processed and very, very economical. I’m thrilled! The Ocean Race equipment is already chic, the leather feels good and the color combination also fits. The operation in some areas is completely different than in the Audi (Navi, hand brake) but also not really complicated. Voice control works excellently. The winter bikes (Oden 16″ are not the most beautiful, but the spring comes already in March. I have a question: what are these for eyelets in the passenger footroom right and left? Can’t find anything in the manual. VG Martin

  • Now he’s finally here,but……………….

Hello Elchgemeinde I ordered a V60 R-Design on 29.10.2010 at the. Well, after a long, long wait, he was delivered yesterday at last (juhuuu, joy reigns etc) After Freierabend immediately to go there I could finally take him in the arms (though a bit cumbersome..hehehehe) Full of joy I then made the over-extended appointment. This is then tomorrow evening. So far I thought, the time I can still wait. If only this morning had not been this tel call from mine……. Sorry, this meant, unfortunately, with the delivery on Thursday nothing!!!! I didn’t hear correctly and was in the wrong movie?????! Well, he said to it; we discovered at the closer look two little bumps UNDER the protection sheet……… Since all the final inspection in the work was past Now there is nothing else but the whole hood to change. That means, today I order replacement, then deliver immediately to the paintr…… and the new transfer date is then on Friday, so to discover a few calmness, so soon, I would love to the day.

  • XC60 gear indicator DRIVe

Now the D5 in the MJ2012 has the start/stop automatic and the whole drum around – the displays in the Tacho display, the menu item in the TFT display, the DRIVe switch in the center console. In the operating manual (web version: pages 127/128):As an aid the driver has GSI – (Gear Shift Indicator). This function informs the driver when the insertion of a higher or lower gear is most convenient. For this, an upward or downward arrow is displayed in the lower information display of the combination instrument. Before that there is an image “speed indicator”, which should show the temperature indicator next to the left of the temperature indicator (but shows there a “R”, the highlighted “turn-on arrow” points to this position). (picture see picture). Now I have this gear indicator but not – does someone have it? Or is the only present with the D3 DRIVe, and they have “forgotten” with the D5? (not that I absolutely use it, but it is funny).

  • Fuel consumption: on-board computer is next to it

Hello together, I made the statement in my XC60 that the specified fuel consumption usually deviates strongly from the calculated consumption. Usually it indicates less, that make the from Volvo certain extra real consumption I consume about 0.5 to 0.8 liters more, than the BC indicates. I find that the deviation is too large here. Everything in the range of +/- 0.2 liters I would still accept, but I don’t need a treasure ice. I once read that the display should be more reliable on long journeys. When I chased a tank filling through the engine recently on one day, I still had 0.8 liters of deviation – the BC showed 9.4 liters, I calculated (and Spritmonitor.de) 10.17 liters. How are your experiences?

  • Insolent or my new annoyance…

Hello, As you can see from my Sig., I drive a V70 III D5 which was brought with Heico to 240 hp (+ a bit) because it was a bit lame to me just above. Thanks Heico am resp. I was satisfied with it to this day. As said, BIS HERE!!! Today I could test the (new) car of my better half on longer distance. And now I am really something of Sauer…!!! That’s where this Blöde S60 drives as D3 with stink normal 163 Hottehühs almost as fast as my for expensive money get under V70 D5 which should be clearly stronger from home. To this end he consumes also almost 2 liters less than mine! That’s probably the very last and so something of shameless!!! That’s certainly not possible! Please for your opinion on such outrageous behavior and how I should now be towards Volvo behavior! Greeting Michael Der (almost) is envious !!!

  • XC60 Timing belt jump

Hello in the round, the new one is here. Got a problem at least my Volvo. On Friday, the rib belt to the alternator is torn (alternatively, I think it is very brittle true). From the Bosch Car Service. Belts ordered and repaired on Monday (nightly) picked up. within 25 km the Volvo leaves and jumps no longer. Organ organ organ, but he does not want to start. Ergo called the ADAC and waited. In this hood uf and looked inside. Rib belt to jump a tooth to the side. ADAC man arrived and camshaft sensor error message. Generator too little tension. I called the factory town and the dare to go. In the factory town they searched for torn cable from the sensor and found nothing since the belt had been slightly shredded (ist) and the mechanic said that I guess the tooth strap has jumped around a tooth. Now I have the stupid feeling that the rib belt developed such a force that it came to the jump and the mechanic can’t say no and the mechanic doesn’t ask you enough.

  • Which Volvo fits us – from experience please…

Hello together, like input from people who are in the similar situation – tips like try out, or I could imagine are not helpful here. We, our 2 dogs ( Labrador size ) and a baby have to come with. Not only during the holiday but also for daily walks on the WE and under the week. In the car must next to the passengers, the baby bowl and the pram what already needs some space. ( luggage for holiday is then not yet in ) An XC60 is already available, however for the purpose clearly too small… Jmd in similar situation which it could solve with a Volvo? Thanks and beautiful WE Benton

  • Problems with traffic sign identification

I drive a V60 D6, approved in March 2015, but I think my problem also affects other Volvos. My hope for the traffic sign recognition has given way to a certain disenchantment: the system does not recognize a beginning / end of the place; it does not recognize any estuaries that lift a speed limit; and my greatest hope was that at “30 – 200m” I no longer have to stare at the speedometer to see when the 200m are over. In doing so, the system recognizes for example “in case of wetness” and does not show this limit in case of dryness. My question to members who have been driving Volvo for a long time: Is it possible in your opinion that the traffic sign recognition will get an update at some point? Actually, this would have to be software-technically solvable, the hardware could surely recognize the signs accordingly sensitively. Can other manufacturers do that better?
