Hello, had the opportunity to test a BMW 520 d touring with automatic. So I had promised myself more… Compared to my V 70 D 3 with automatic better – transmission characteristics…but only a little more – chassis more dynamically designed – shape slightly sleek – panoramic roof But here are the disadvantages, of course subjective – seats – no comparison to the Volvo – interior look, especially cheap decorative strips – space available for drivers, passengers and luggage disappointing – consumption no less, although 1 cylinder is missing As said, everything is naturally purely subjective. But worlds are in no case, rather the normal distance when the BMW has been on the market for just under a year, but the Volvo has been around 4 years. However, Volvo doesn’t have to hide, does it? seashell PS – So it’s clear, it’s waiting for me a D 5 and not 5 he.

Question about Xenon and DPF at V60 D3
Hello people, It will soon be so that I will change from V50 to V60. There is no time yet but I get nervous already. Since it will be a demonstration or annual car you can not completely choose the desired equipment, because it is also necessary to find it first. Have the V60 D3 as a switch times trial driving and I am of the opinion that it should now be for me. But have two questions about it to you. 1. Should one necessarily take xenon light or is the light bulb quite good in the illumination? As I heard the headlight on the V60 should be already very class. Would it be very pleased about experiences/explanations about it. 2. What about the D3 with the DPF? Does it have a change after km necessary for a lot of money, or is the rather maintenance arm? Is there with the engine this Aditiv or not? I come through one another slowly and can not remember it anymore, S….e! Actually that was already. I have no more worries.

What engine? So far 6-cylinders from Mercedes and BMW
Hello, after many years BMW and Mercedes (all 6-cylinder gasoline) we now want to “convert” the 4-cylinder engine within the next 12 months to the Volvo V60. Especially problematic is the engine choice with Volvo. I am used to R6 or V6 engines – quiet, cultivated and silky soft engine run (at the moment in the C280T, i.e. 3,0l V6 with 231 hp). But the T6 does not come into question for us, since it is supposed to be a year car and the T6 is actually hard to get (and in practice I would estimate about – 10l) – durability of the engine (240hp from 2.0l cylinder capacity)? – Only 4-cylinder, probably not a really nice sound of the engine – consumption m.E. relatively high (in practice I would estimate about – 10l) – durability of the engine (even though there are some good ones).

Comparison of assistance systems XC60 MJ2017 with Mercedes E-Class
Hello dear ones, I’m playing a new XC60 D4 FWD Autom. Summum incl. assistance package to buy. I’m driving an E-Class, BJ2012 with Disctronic, assistance package, etc. The Distronic and the other A-systems work great. Especially the automatic distance tempom is a great thing, all inconspicuous but always present and without malfunctions. In my version also no active steering intervention takes place, only when driving a pulled-through line one is pushed back correct by a brake intervention – quite nice, but a warning would be enough. I have read about the somewhat unfortunate solution of traffic sign recognition. From what are your experiences with the assistance systems of the XC60 – is this a round thing, it works as expected or ends in a disappointment compared? Dear thanks for your experiences and information.

S60 – DVD function while driving
Who knows the new Sensus in the S60/V60, knows hopefully also the new function to be able to watch a DVD up to 6 km/h. Yesterday I was now very often in traffic jam and watched the last Bond movie. However, the image transfer was interrupted again and again, if I drove faster than 6 km/h Now to the question! Is there a software that unlocks the function also in driving mode? I do not want to watch DVD at high speed, it would be enough if this function were available up to 30 km/h, so the classic Stop and Go! Someone an idea?

Two toddlers and teenagers rear seat
Hello, I’ve already searched the forum a little bit, but I didn’t find a solution for my problem. I’m driving a Volvo V50 D3 year 2012, super car only I have to change 🙁 We have two children 13 and 1, now unplanned still a third worm has announced 😉 I’m looking for a car now, where on the back seat a child seat group I-III, a baby shell and a teenager fits as well as a stroller and a buggy in the trunk. For holidays I have a roof box. All other posts revolve around three child seats in the V70 or XC60 respectively. I would like to know if someone has experiences with the above mentioned problem. Would like to stay with Volvo and press ahead of Touran, Sharan, Bus etc…. I can’t win anything from this.

XC60 D5 high oil consumption.. can that be ?
Moin from Hamburg, I have had an XC60 D5 AWD Autom. with 215 hp. from 09.2012 Km performance now 69,000. The car was bought in Stuttgart by a Volvo dealer and is perfectly maintained. At 61,800km an oil change was made. When I came back from the Sweden vacation, the car kindly asked for half a liter of oil. KM stand about 64,300km. I thought, well, the Volvojungs have given quite a little gift. So a good half refilled… Then at 67,000km again this indicator, it disappeared this time a three-quarter liter in the engine. Today, at 69,000km my car shows me again, that it is from the liquid gold moose… guessing ..jepp, it wants a whole liter… My driving profile is by the way Landstr. and Deich (we have in the Hamburg Umland abundantly), highway occasionally, but no full gas steps. At a visual inspection I could not detect any damp spots on the engine or below. Have just spoken with a Volvo dealer; a consumption of about 15km, I can’t have to believe in the same standard of oil.

From the XC60 back to the V70 (Black Edition) – and happy
Hello, after three years of XC60 I am now back to the V70 in the equipment variant Black Edition and am impressed how much higher quality the V70 finally is. Sure, the XC60 is a great car and I am very, very happy to drive it, but I could never get used to the very rumbled chassis. The V70 is, despite sports suspension, much more comfortable to drive and the materials and workmanship quality are a different class. That starts already when the doors are closed, the appearance of the interior equipment up to the tailgate – really great! And the new engine… so if the on-board computer is also close and after the start-up phase the consumption also sinks, I am very happy here too.

Water in the interior
Dear experts, this morning I had to slow down a little bit more and it happened exactly what happened when it rained before: A flood of water ran down the windshield. It’s new, however, that it ran down on the inside of the disc this time! Is this a typical weakness? Next week I already have an appointment in the workshop because of the tailgate. I’m honestly a little angry, because I bought the vehicle a week ago from a renowned Volvo center, who have the reputation that their vehicles are a bit more expensive than others, but really perfect. I could have bought another old one (if there were any). I didn’t have such problems!

Different instruments at the Ocean Race?
Hello, just can’t find an explanation why some V60 Ocean Race instrumentation with distinctive aluminum look and others don’t. Have seen both variants on pictures and videos. According to the price list, the Ocean Race has only the “normal” instruments. Does it have anything to do with the choice of the engine? Or is there chrome with any “extra” to it? Pictures are only for illustration and are not from the V60 Ocean Race, that’s clear to me. Just about the principle of comparability.
