Hello Volvo community, I’m about to lose my faith because I can’t get it partout to run the Vida software. I bought the software (3 DVDs) in Netzt (not in China), could also install it but not open it. I can get up to the view on the picture, but I can only press the IE button EWD and open the schematics. With all the other buttons it opens an Explorer and wants to connect to the Internet, which does not work. I completely adhered to the default installation routine. Can someone tell me here what I might have done wrong. With thanks in advance Vailo

Have ordered the XC 60 for me on 30.01.2009. is now my 5 ( V 40 / S80 / S 60 / V 70 ) am here in the forum for a few days and notice the Volvo takes the extras (electric tailgate / entry strip / silver roof railing just so out of the program. My dealer has in the exhibition still listed everything as included. Has someone already made contact with Volvo and to get a statement ??? Who once had a Volvo will probably remain true to the brand. New customers for Volvo are very difficult to get at the price.

Dear Elch-Communtiy, since I can order my first elk in the next few weeks and my budget is a bit limited I would have a short question about the installed seats in the XC60: Is the difference between the standard padding installed in the Kinetic package and the Eriksberg padding (momentum) only in the optical area or will there be serious differences in seat quality here? (I believe in the V50/S40 is a similar situation).

Hello, I’ve got my S80 a three-quarter year now and I’m not really happy with it. Motorically and in terms of consumption, the car is ok, but the chassis is not worthy of a Volvo. And I have two problem circles. Once when driving over ground unevenness. Somehow it sounds as if the shock absorber would hit. As a damped stop noise I would define it. From where it comes, I can’t make out 100%. Once I think from the right At the front, another time, I think I can perceive it from behind. Some workshop visits have not brought a complete improvement either. My other problem is when driving on not quite flat roads, e.g. short floor waves in the road surface, raised road markings. Blitz & Donnerschlag… now I have just looked at the new Ford KUGA here (in black with full equipment as top version) and am indeed very impressed (and irritated) by this car.. quite big respect for Ford, there is something moving in terms of interior quadri. and above all exterior design. I am really surprised how good this kuga looks and how the part is processed, that has now nothing more of the well-known “KIK-Discount—-optics” of the previous Cologne Pro respect. The whole thing as 2×4 costs (without Navi and without leather) no 30,000,- and falls against a (admittedly somewhat old-fashioned and old-backed three-looking) XC 90 in terms of design and quality in no place. However, Volvo has to do some additional things to achieve the everywhere proclaimed premium touch including the 10,000,- additional price for the nearly identical XC 60 on the market. I have not seen yet an XC60 in real/serial maturity, but for which the s likes and for which the not professing brand fetishist is … I guess just look at: Ford KUGA (in good equipment). Well done Ford (if not again this unspeakable standard Peugeot diesel would be installed) and with the expected usual Ford discounts certainly a good purchase (especially in comparison to the ugly and completely overrated VW Golf Plus derivative name Tiguan) Gruss, SV

Hello, I received today from my VolvoCenter the statement that I should hurry to order the XC60 if I wanted it in March. Because of the high demand !! Now I have a.) the problem to order a car blindly – knows the XC60 only from pictures and was unfortunately not on the AMI in Leipzig. and b.) wanted to wait as an alternative the Q5 of Audi with prices and configurations. 1. Is the statement right with the extremely long delivery time ? 2. Is there your knowledge ens after another exhibition where you can experience the XC60 in real? thank you for your help LG Oliver

Good Tach, wanted to ask if anyone has already made a 12V connection into the middle arm console. I am disturbed by my cell phone with cable on the 12V connection at the beverage holders and would like to banish it into this compartment. Technically, it should not be a problem, right?
