  • White smoke while accelerating and idle

    Hej together, on our journey today to Austria (about 800 km) I suddenly noticed a more intense smell in stop & go traffic – suddenly I let out a cloud of white smoke behind me when starting. Not every time when accelerating, but after longer idle or after a longer thrust drive phase. In the car no new Pope was chosen – therefore my first guess: water entry over the cylinder head seal? Oil over the turbocharger? Acceleration behaviour is t top. No jerking, quiet running, as usual. Water tank I check tomorrow by light. Anyone still ideas to calm me down or worry about? Other approaches perhaps? To the need goes by ADAC stop piggyback home and we in the rental car. It is important to me to risk no further damage… V60, D5 (D5244T11), 267,000 km. Greetings rlg

  • Cannot open Volvo V70 III tailgate

    Hello together, I have a V70 III, built in 2008 where the tailgate can no longer be opened at once. At the car the battery was empty due to the longer standing, which I had removed for charging. I do not know if this has something to do with the problem. The tailgate can not be opened either via the opener at the flap, as well as via the button in the interior or via the remote control. Otherwise the tailgate could also be opened electronically. I tried already by the insideTo open the part somehow, a lever like the 960 is unfortunately not available here. The cover on the inside I have already loose at the upper part, since the Bowden train moves to the handle still at the open. Who has a tip for me how to get the part back on? Thank you in advance!   • Survey of the ZKD problem with the 5 cylinder diesel

The concrete question is: was your 2.4l 5 cylinder diesel already affected by the well-known ZKD problem? Interesting to know: 1) Which year of construction/model year was it? 2) How far was the damage? 3) How far-reaching was the damage? (only ZKD, ZK or whole engine) To a bit of the perceived concern advice It would be nice, by the way, if the members who did NOT get this problem reported this.   • Volvo V70 III Year 2015 repair or sell ?

    Hey dear people, I own a Volvo V70 III from 03/2015 (9101/APX). I used to buy the car 2 years ago with 85000km down. Now I had to find out after delivery of the car in a workshop that there should be a) leaks in the manifold or turbo (not quite clearly without the front axle and steering) b) The KAT / DPF has apparently dissolved (I and the car mechanic at 104.000km mileage is very funny) c) Big shell broken from the DPF d) Autob Atterie seems to be coming to an end and should be replaced (says mechanic). I was called a price of approx. 3500 – 4000 EUR (if bad luck also more). Now I ask myself whether it is worth the sum to invest in the car and to have everything done or if I should ask myself what else I could get for the car. I also wanted to ask what you think of the price.

  • Question about dewatering fuel filters

    Hello Elk friends, a few days ago our Volvo had a couple of jerks at approx. 2000U/min and with strong acceleration. Is of course very disturbing – could get worse. I have pondered a bit and came to the assumption that this might be due to water in the fuel filter. After all, it was not drained about 50,000km (yes, a new filter already due).   • Exchange disc instrument cluster

    I noticed earlier that on our V60 with the digital cluster instrument down exactly in the middle above the odometer there is a crack in the plexiglas disc. I hadn’t noticed that so far. It looks rather like a voltage crack. Googlen now showed me the disc for 72 euros something at Skandix. I have the following questions: Has anyone had the same already. Has someone changed the disc himself? Is there a mounting instruction, perhaps about Vida? Does someone have the Let the disc be replaced with Volvo, what did they calculate? For all still a picture. Of course not taken by me.

  • Volvo xc 60 diesel Bj. 2011grind ring exchange.

    When replacing cylinder encoder, steering wheel had to be loosened with the screw at the bottom of the pedal so that clutch pedal could get out. The steering wheel was twisted and not taken into account when installing it. Grinding ring itself purchased. Volvo error spoke could not be deleted, as grinding ring is adjusted by 70 degrees. According to installation, wheels should stand straight and rotate clockwise grinding ring 3,25 clockwise. I first turned by hand to the right then to the left were 5,3 umdre.     Moin people, you need your help. I have a V70 D5 BJ 2011 aut. and would like to put some original Volvo V60/S60II rims on it. Is ne 8×19 et42 with 235/40 R19. Can I drive them on the V70 without further ado or are there any problems? Would you be very grateful if you could help me further.

  • Sensus Connect problems (V60 MY16, Keyless)

    Hello together Recently I have noticed a strange behavior of my navigation system and also of the infotainment system (especially function “My Car”. It is the Sensus with world ball in a V60 MY16 (production late autumn 2015). Car is equipped with Keyless Drive. In general it is also noticeable that the system charges long after switching on ignition and engine, often hangs and the function keys do not react. Now to the actual problem. I have disappeared from the Navi over the last about two weeks after and after all stored positions. First the category “shopping”, then “personally”. Had this ever been someone? The previously stored positions are still “last destinations” callable. In the ride statistics under “My Car” I had set the check that always after four hours of standing a new journey book should be started. Suddenly the check was out outside. I know that now sounds strongly after “First World” problem, but it is about the principle. Why does it change certain settings? What can you do with the update?
