  • V70 D5 215 PS chirps during acceleration under load

Hello, my V70 chirps on the first approx. 15 km while accelerating. There is nothing to hear when giving gas in the stand, I accelerate out of the speed cellar with a little emphasis (no full throttle, engine is not yet warm), a chirping is clearly perceptible. If it were to occur in the stand, I would tap strongly on V-belts, also sounds like that. Since it only occurs under load, I rather tap on the turbo charge. It is definitely not a normal loader whistle, I know that very well, driving exclusively turbo engines for 10 years. Did someone have the noise and know what it is about? Have a nice evening.

  • Giant frustration after 4x Volvo: complete engine damage D5 after 60,000km – your assessment would be great

As an eternal Volvo driver, I never expected it: on the return journey from France vacation we stayed, now the Job diagnosis of the workshop: complete engine damage, replacement and installation about 14,000Euro !!!!!! We bought the D5 with first registration in 2013 and at that time about 30,000km a year ago from a Volvo dealer here in Berlin, had all inspections done, this huge damage now at 60,000km…The history of this defect is funny: the last inspection in February had resulted in zero errors. Because of start problems due to lack of battery charge (two years old) we were right before the holiday again at Volvo. A software update was made, everything was in order. In France then again start problems ( 3x start help!!!), at the end unnerved bought in The Hague a new battery. 300km later then the engine damage, belt torn from the light machine was probably the trigger. Now another Volvo workshop, to which the car was towed again, the battery is also completely empty. What should not be, I let it be fully charged in The Hague and let me see the battery stand with a similar inspection?

  • Sweden imports V70 III

Hey, I was advised to write here, because here some people drive a Sweden import.. ? Short situation outline: am currently looking for a V70 gasoline (mostly T4) with R-design package for our small family (1st child on the march). Shouldn’t cost more than 15t€ and if possible not have more than 100tkm away. Gladly with automatic. Since there is such a thing in Dtl. not or only very rarely (observed for about a year the market via Mobile), I have now opened up a contact of the cars imported from Sweden in the customer order. Has that already made someone I could squeeze out on the subject times? Am currently already looking at, but with the budget it is narrowly with the larger selection in Sweden… have still up to 3-4 months time, then what must happen then the child is there soon and my TÜV has expired (doubtably also not get a new report). Still a few general questions: Had first taken into consideration the 2.5T, but then because of the high maintenance costs (Spritmonitor allegedly with 13l with a few automatics) but also has rejected a T-time interval of every year?

  • 3 bicycles on or behind the XC70?

Dear Volvo friends and bike riders, the following situation: – family: man (1,85m tall) + woman + child (4, can ride a bike recently) – car: XC70 MJ11 with original removable AHK & E-Heckklappe – wheels: 2× MountainBike 26 inch / 1× children’s bike 16 inch Now there is only the road in our place to practice a longer piece on the bike. Everything else is not suitable, hardly fixed field paths with slopes, which are still too demanding for the son. We want to charge the bikes from time to time after work, an hour in the park away from home practice us again. What kind of carrier should I choose for it? For the summer holiday 2015 I have reserved an Ahk carrierThule EuroClassic G6 LED 929. Is such a thing also suitable for the quick after – celebration evening use? Or rather on the roof? What do you think? Financially is rather secondary – first find the most practical solution. Thank you!

  • Engine vibrations in the steering wheel? (S80II D5)

Hello, I changed the track bar and now I mean to notice engine vibrations much more strongly in the steering wheel (e.g. in the stand). I imagine that the steering wheel before was absolutely quiet, which of course could have been due to the emptied track bar. Or is there still a rubber sleeve that was decoupled and forgotten something? 🙂 What about you? Does your steering wheel vibrate something? Have a nice Sunday, A.

  • New elk just getting

Dear community, 4 hours ago it was time. I was able to pick up our new elk. 4 weeks before the agreed date. It is an XC 60 T5 AWD Momentum in magic blue. The color is simply the hammer. Was a perfect decision. Otherwise after 25km the first impressions: processing, split dimensions, quality feeling much better than the old one of 2012. Operation is the same as before. The engine is really great!!!!!!! Corey when accelerating, with an extreme smooth running in idle and when rolling back. The 5 Ender Diesel was already horny to listen to but the gasoline top this. Since it is my first automatic, I feel the 6 Gang GT as very pleasant and suitable. But have no comparison! The consumption, after 28 km, of course not representative: according to BC currently at 10,9 l! But will certainly not be the norm. However, I am not thrilled, regret the step and also not the decision per XC and against V 60 CC! Pictures follow ! LG from Vienna

  • Premium quality???

After exactly 3 years and 90,000 km the brand logo slowly dissolves. If that’s all Premium Let’s see what the says Beautiful weekend

  • XC60 Price without heatable windshield

Moin in the round, little smiler for the end of the day. I’m just putting together a new XC60. As the heating wires in the windshield disturb me, the summum package does not come into question. So the car has to be built on the basis of momentum. This makes the car 1,500€ more expensive :-)) So the absence of the windshield costs really money….

  • Problems after Service 2.0 software update

Hello forum! I hope you can help me! I’ve had a lot of trouble with my XC60 MY 2012 D3 since the last service 2.0 problems. There have been 2 updates for the engine and the air conditioner. With both components I have problems since: 1. Gearbox After the update I noticed that the car is almost slipping on flat road. There is no engine brake to be felt when I go off the gas. In addition, the instantaneous consumption indicator at speeds up to 70 km/h in idle run shows almost always a consumption. This has definitely nothing to do with the free burning of the diesel filter. At this point the engine supports the switching process with a gap. Without knowing myself I assume that this should prevent a jerking when switching. That’s what the update has already made. But now the problem is not solved.

  • Kaufberatung V60, 2012 vs 2013

Hello! I’m looking for a little help with the V60 used car purchase. Have looked at us a lot, from 2011 and 2012. In Austria the market is unfortunately quite manageable. Desired price: up to 18000 with ideal equipment – that would be already D2 Kinetic with seat heating, possibly Navi and/or Xenon. To this end AHK would be optimal but not necessary. There is currently only Kinetic without extras around 18.500 from 2012. Now an interesting import solution has opened up, V60 D2 Kinetic including Navi and seat heating from June 2013 with 40,000 around 17500. So with all import costs within the frame. So I have not yet considered the new model – now the questions are whether it was only a facelift or motor etc. have been changed. In the net for the year no special criticism – find up to optical no differences – there are any weaknesses, speak something for 2013 or against – compared to older ones from 2011, 2012 or 2013 are the same price or more expensive? Many thanks!
