  • XC 60 D5 with 185 hp, 205 hp, 209 hp ???

Good morning to the forum. I’m new here. After long years MB I would like to try an XC60. I started looking for a used XC60 with the 5-cylinder diesel. The engine is offered in three power levels. I would prefer the 205 hp or 209 hp with Geartronic. Can anyone explain to me what this 4hp power difference results. Is one or other variant to prefer? Thank you sid2006

  • A happy hello!

Hello dear Volvo community! I am Stefan, 38 years old and live near Stuttgart. After 3 Saab and one Opel I have loved again for a long time with a large Swedes, informed me recently here and now put the Kuli on paper: Next week I get my almost 2 year old V70 Momentum 2.4 D automatic. With the decision and the negotiations I took 3 weeks and slept over a few nights. I was very satisfied with the predecessor Opel Vectra Caravan and the farewell is not quite easy for me; despite the beautiful prospects of a chic V70. I look forward to a lively and nice exchange with you! Maybe one or other of the former Saab drivers present here still knows me from the Saab forum.

  • V 70 AWD or XC 70?

Need a new car with a larger trunk, as a second dog grows up (then Labrador + Shepherd). Drive at the moment BMW X1, however, had already 4 Volvo (850 / S 70/ S 80) and was always very satisfied. Only further MUST criterion next to the trunk is all-wheel (wg. safety in the winter, am much on the road in Eastern Europe) Now I swung between XC 70 and V 70 AWD (each D5, automatic). Wouldn’t want a new car (loss of value), but 1-3 years old (found the earlier models also beautiful). For the sake of completeness: XC 90 is too old for me, XC 60 I won’t warm with alternatives from other brands are BMW X3 (new model), Land Rover Disco. Actually also Jeep Grand Cherokee (I think it’s beautiful, had one for 100 TKM once, only best experience, but at Jeep I don’t get a lock-off grid or at least – net for money or good words. Also not as a Jeep original. Accessories) Sounds maybe a bit broad, test rides stand for your answers.

  • XC60 – Xenon

hello, can anyone tell me which xenon burners are installed as standard in my 2012? ds1, ds2? how much kelvin? with both the sufu, and in manual there is nothing to find… thank you in advance! grueße, aviator333

  • Light indicator

As a newcomer to Volvo, I noticed that only by the switch can you see if the light is switched on. I lack an indicator in the speedometer, or can you set one? If yes, where and how? For a helpful answer thank you in advance!

  • Heating XC60 MJ2012

Hello, I too am now proud owner of an XC60 since August 2011. (2.0 DRIVe, Diesel) I have to say……….fine car 😀 Nevertheless, at more and more cooler temperatures, the seemingly really weak heating of Sweden is not immediately noticeable in the summer. I have now tested several days and found that the really warm air only comes out of the nozzles in the middle of the dashboard. Even if the blower is set on a very small level. There are the three possibilities of manual adjustment. 1. Footroom 2. Body 3.Head If only footroom is activated, then down there comes out only cool to lukewarm air no matter what temperature choice. No matter what blower level, whereby it becomes noticeably cooler at higher blower level. If only body is activated, then the airflow from the center of the dashboard will only be really warm if the blower is at the smallest level now. The higher the blower level, the more the heat decreases. If footroom and body is activated, then somehow the airflow is only cooled up to have made me feel good. If there is no more normal.

  • Please explain the Untershied between Volvo On Call and Sensus Connect High Performance

Hello, I’m still completely new here and would like to buy a V60 T4 (switch) shortly. However, the difference between Volvo On Call and Sensus Connect High Performance is not quite clear to me. That’s why a very precise demand: I can use the Sensus Connect High Performance via smartphone to see if the vehicle is locked, how large the range is, or if I can transmit address data to the Navi. Or is this only possible with Volvo On Call? I have no idea at all. Thanks for your information.

  • S60 II T6 AWD – External mirror “freeze”

I must be surprised. I drove three years Renault from the sun-drenched France and never had any problems in winter. But now with the Volvo from the cool north, the exterior mirrors don’t work out any more, when it has snowed. Then you have to help manually. Not really bad but strange is that. For this I enjoy myself at the AWD on the snowy roads, on which the front-drivers drifted only helplessly.

  • Back again

Hello, After a nine-year break, which I spent very satisfied with a problem-free Saab 9.3 SC Aero V6, I have bought my sixth Volvo. My fear that I will miss the six-cylinder terribly did not confirm thanks to God. The new one is not going much worse emotionally, especially since I didn’t really get out of the Saab once (run out), already not here in Ö. I already had two V70 before the Saab, before that also a Bertone780. I am very positively pleased with the new one so far, both in terms of processing and driving myself: V70 D5 GT summum, 215 +Polestar, Inscription white, sliding roof, Titania 18″, MJ 2014, presenter. I am still thinking of having sensus connected touch retrofitted, but am not yet sure whether this is worth the price. Greetings from the deeply snowy south (end of April!) Bertone

  • Winter test “Autoblend allrad”

Hello dear Volvisti, in the current issue (Feb.12) of the AB allrad is a “hardness test in the snow” printed. Say a test of 10 all-wheelers incl. our beloved XC60 Only a pity that the moose has landed only at number 7, in my opinion, but nevertheless the 2nd “foreigner” after the Landy Other candidates are: – VW Tiguan – Jeep Grand Cherokee – Audi Q3 – VW T5 Rockton – Land Rover Defender – BMW X6 – Mercedes ML – Mitsubishi Pajero – Nissan Qashqai But somehow the test is quite individual. Some candidates compete on old tires, some drive with others without electronic helpers. So quite comparable results the test mMn does not bring. To our little favorite one writes: “Once again the Volvo misses optimal results by the somewhat hesitant interpretation of its all-wheel system. Also the ESP mentioned in Volvo DSCT tries to make a stressed fool-proof regulation, Dmtures to control the current mode” – but now its source is quite a good menu.
