  • XC70: Can the rear flap motor be switched off?

I sold my V70 II AWD and bought me an XC70 year 2010. Both D5. Better start, better damped chassis, a bit better (or less bad9 impact, otherwise a few progresses. Unfortunately, 0.5 liters more diesel with the same driving style despite a slightly more modern engine. (new 8.7l real consumption mixed driving mode, partly >170km/h). I could already get rid of some little nervousness from the new one (auto mirror flaps etc.). Something I don’t pack: the rear flap motor whirls around, even if I don’t need it. When I close the rear door that works: If I do it right (close it all and snap it), the engine remains quite quiet. But when opening it doesn’t work: always surrise. I’m doing something wrong? Is there a way to open the door without the best engine? Or can I also shut the engine completely? Is there an extra fuse that would be removable? I don’t use that at all. If I don’t do anything wrong, then let me do something wrong, then let me open the door without the devil, because I need to move again.

  • Engine or gear damage, S80 D5 MJ2007

Hello friends, after my engine placer in February 2012 at my S60 D5 MJ2004, bought a used S80 D5 MJ2007 with 116TKm. Today on Sunday I came home and saw that under my car was an oil pool. Conclusion: Panning service dragged him to my dealer, then review is probably done in the next two days. Question: What’s going on with the Volvo engines or gears at present? Is the engine D5 from MJ2004 with problems? With my first Volvo, S60 Black MJ2001 D5, I drove without any problems! I am very angry because I have no used car warranty and already learned that although I bought the vehicle in February 2012 there is no guarantee because I bought it as an entrepreneur. Can I give someone a constructieve recommendation here in the forum? Greeting Markus

  • Wipe water indicator

yesterday the first time the wiper water indicator lighted up with me. – So I have to say, again one of the things that were better regulated in the V50: there it was like this: “Filling up the wiper water” lit up for about 12 seconds, then went into the memory and with every washing process it lighted up again! that made absolutely sense! – at the V60 it is like Audi, the thing lights up for a few seconds, then disappears again by a few minutes later to light up again, the emptyer the container, the more often it happens – but irregularly – here you can exceptionally talk of luck, that it does not even go with an acoustic signal, because it annoys in Audis by the constant on and off. But the function that it lights up when the wash lever is activated, there is obviously no longer any longer

  • XC60: speedo inaccuracies compared to cruise control

I have noticed the following with my Xc60 and would like to know if it is similar with you. If I set the cruise control for example 100, then the speedometer needle is not at 100 but something below. If I then raise the cruise control to approx. 101, 102, 103, then the speedometer needle shows exactly at 100. The same applies at other speeds. Is this also so, or should I address mine on a calibration? Thank you Greetings Christian

  • Part No 30670269 causes problems

Hello, my V70 is ticking around . He didn’t like to start below 5 degrees anymore.Glow pins I measured, all by 0.6 ohms. In the search I noticed the slightly oiled plug from the above mentioned spare part . After he didn’t want any more this morning I pulled him off he jumped immediately . Unfortunately I get in the net hardly usable information about the part . Also the parts search at Polarparts and Skandix is unsuccessful . In a Swedish forum I found an entry , that is from the cold start valve the talk . What the hell regulates the part and knows itself ? Please no discussion about injectors , that excludes I currently . Part-No. 30670269 OEM Volvo

  • D4 VEA 6th birthday cost avalanche

I can give the following gifts to my V70 – 8 gear automatic with a mileage of just under 150,000km: The topics have appeared in the course of the annual service. The Volvo workshop tries to achieve a cost share of the first two positions in Kulanz via the manufacturer. Nevertheless, I calculate for myself with costs of 2-3 TEUR. So far I have perceived this engine transmission combination as sprint-strong, cost-effective and comfortable. The effort for annual services, partly also with replacement of locking parts e.g. brakes, was mostly in the three-digit EUR range. So there was no reason to look for alternatives. What can I expect from motor/gears at this KM stand in the next years? Based on your feedback, I see three possible ways for me: Would I be very pleased about your information / comments!

  • AGR Problem ECM – P241300

Servus Volvo municipality With my Volvo XC 60 (Bj. 2014 / 9101 / AZU) is the yellow check control lamp in the displ. since approx. 178000 Km. Error memory indicates the error P2413000 exhaust gas return system power and ECM-P200900 control circuit impeller intake manifold nied (bank 1). P200900 I was able to delete, however, the P241300 error remains in the memory. The AGR valve (under the black cap of the hook-shaped lever) I was able to manually re-run, but also here blocks the valve after a few km again. Does possibly Backspray/WD40 or injector-solver spray help to keep the valve running or does only help a new valve? Is the AGR cooler broken / leaked and the system then locks the valve (location -2.35%) to protect the engine or does not exist this protective mechanism at all? Has someone exchanged the AGR valve and cooler in 2022 and what did the fun cost? Does someone know a good and cheap bin vehicle?

  • Estimates for inspections and maintenance ???

Hello together, in other threads the topic “inspection costs” has been discussed several times. It is striking for me that the costs for standard work and materials (especially oil) partly differ very strongly between the different workshops and also brands. Therefore, it would be important to have a cost estimate for regular inspection and maintenance work. I myself have never done this – honestly – before. But that was perhaps a mistake. Therefore question in the round: How do you keep it with such cost estimates? Let us create some? If so, how do the (Volvo) workshops react? Do you have the impression to have saved money with cost estimates? How are your experiences? Greetings + a nice weekend Hugo

  • Quality of seats in the XC70

Hello, I’ve been driving Volvo (850,V70,XC70) for 15 years. I haven’t thought about my seats for 14 years. 1200km at a time, get out, great. Now everything is different. I’m not at all satisfied with the seats in my XC70, model 2012. The leather (if that’s what it is), wrinkles, I just can’t find a comfortable seat position and get out with back pain when I’ve been driving for 2 hours at a time. Have other forists had the same experience? If so, what can I do besides changing the brand? ;-( Thank you for your opinions.
