Hello together, we are since the beginning of May owner of an XC60 D4 AWD Ocean Race (new car), and so far we are also highly satisfied with our Odin (my wife says the car needs a name). Unfortunately now the first flaws have occurred. Our climate made very loud noises, especially when it is very warm. Our friend then changed after initial guessing a hose of the air conditioning. The noise is since that also not so loud, but it is still there From our previous car, a 14-year-old Audi A4, we didn’t know that. Now I have the fear that our friend could dismiss the problem as given. Maybe someone had the same experience here? Now we were able to notice a further lack at the WE. At the back left there seems to be a problem with the bumper. It also makes neat noises when the rear bench is occupied with two people. If you drive alone or together you don’t hear anything. I hope e that you can solve this problem because we hate to give up our Odin again. MfG Volker

XC70 T6, 72t km. Brake complete due…
Well, I was surprised today that our XC70 T6 with 72tkm front and rear must have new brake discs and brake pads…Quasi the all-round feeling packet. Wau, that’s what I find strong tobacco, or are the usual “values” regarding brake wear in this car or in general Volvo? Yes, the vehicle is used much over short distances, regularly also AB times. Sometimes a few height meters…

Experience with the ACC system
Hello from Zurich I am following the new model range that will soon be on the market. I find it interesting to see the new technical innovation, such as the active speed / distance control system (ACC) from Bosch, which is already used in the S80. I am interested in what experiences you have already made with it. Which are the advantages and disadvantages from your point of view and how reliable is the system. I am particularly interested in the behaviour of the system in fog (of course I do not intend to punch through the fog at 120km/h and to call on the warning of the ACC system).

V70 T4 Problems Powershift
Good evening from South Tyrol, Actually I wanted to write another report about my T4 after the holiday and the first really long track, but today I did not have a less pleasant experience. Today morning start after an overnight stay in the room Rosenheim further towards South Tyrol. Behind Innsbruck on the Brenner motorway traffic jam and stocking traffic in front of a construction site. It goes there constantly uphill. Temperature moderate at about 22 degrees. Since I know about the sensitivity of the power shift transmission, I switched on P at each a little longer stop. The switching operations were more often rather rough. When it went on again a bit more liquid, then suddenly the gear jumped out. The engine roars up. Gas away, it knocks off. After the construction site it went on a little bit more liquid, same game. But also there back and again a break-out. And that on the mountain in a construction site without a stand strip I had panic and a pretty neck. In the whole time however I have no trouble reports on the display. After the construction site it went on with 80 to 100 km/h. But then again the St Staufstruck had a stop before me.

v60 doors freeze to
Hello, we are just coming back from the ski holiday. There I had the problem every morning that the doors of our V60 were frozen and had only to open with proper effort. I have the impression that it is due to construction, because the seals of the doors are not pure rubber, but are such a felt-rubber mixture. I have also noticed several times that the seals are wet and in the inner part of the door moisture stands. No wonder that this then freeze at temperatures below zero at the carros series. Did you address the one on the seals & moisture, which meant that this would be normal and “state of the technology”. Find this statement not really satisfactory, especially with a Swedish vehicle that is supposedly exposed to more frequent winter conditions. Did you have similar experiences or tips to remedy it?

Are you satisfied with BLIS (dead angle detection) in S60 / XC60 or S70 / XC70
I continued the topic of the main-beam assistant, which has then expanded to other assistants, now in a separate thread. Thanks again for your help and especially to ExcavatorHeinz for the tip with the optimal years of construction 2015 to 2017. I will preferably look for it. The Totwinkelassisten / BLIS is particularly relevant to me (after 3 close collisions during the lane change on the highway in recent years). Again, I would be interested in your assessment for the models mentioned in the title. How reliable does the recognition work with you and to which model/construction year you refer? Does the 60s series also have the more modern technology than the 70s series (S70 / XC70)?

Store Snöälg – threatened with extinction – rare specimen sighted …
… and saved! The noble animal stood completely together in a pack of four and five-scatters with a 60 on the mirror and scratched sadly with all four hooves. An unbearable condition, which had to be heartily beat an end! My good heart has won over reason and admonishing faces of OHL and UHL, all resistance was futile. From this afternoon on he is allowed to eat with the family herd. Feeding envy will not exist, the five-end, hand-touched stocklings are satisfied with heating oil. Hey to all Volvisti! And since there is no veal coming without a picture, here is the sneak preview:

Bye Bye, was nice with you 🙂
Hello friends of good taste, it’s time to say goodbye. My leasing time with the V60 D5 R design is around. Originally I wanted to take it over. But the residual value is too high for me. So it has become something else. The pricing policy of the new models has come to my mind at Volvo, though I also like the V90 excellently. However, I reach my financial limits and am not willing to overtake the offered leasing rates. Positively, the V60, on now 156,000 KM, although with some Macks has done its job. The 5 – Ender is still a force, the R-design chassis also offers a good rest comfort on long distances, the seats are good and the space is sufficient. My average consumption is hand-shaked at 6.8 L/100 KM. Also on highway stages with around 180 Km/h were good 1,000 KM with a tank filling again. From the cost side the vehicle was bearable (in about with the A4, 150 TDI of my father per year). While the stop time of the K2,000 have occurred again at the same time.

Private leasing return
Hello everyone, with me the separation from my Volvo V60 is in a few days. My dealer offered me 4 weeks ago the car by the DEKRA free of charge to check and then on the actual return date no surprises to experience. I took advantage of that! The nice DEKRA human has determined a bump and scratch left back and the polished aluminium rims have scratches. Titled he has this damage as a minor value! Now to my actual question. According to the leasing contract I should have been allowed to drive during the four years 100000km. In fact, I drove only 76000km. According to the contract there is an amount x back for 10000km from the LesingBank. But what about the remaining 14000km? Do these not drive these KMs as added value? I would be pleased with numerous answers.
