Hello, I am glad that I found this forum and hope for further advice on the following problem: I purchased an XC 70 D5 the day before yesterday, EZ 2010, 129 KW, 277000 km. The car makes a good overall impression and drives very well. Unfortunately, he brought the error ‘Motor: maintenance required’ yesterday when accelerating. The message had no effect on the performance. Everything went as before the report. I drove the vehicle to a car I knew and it was told e the error 029900 read out and reset. This morning I drove again and sporadically the error occurred again during moderate acceleration, without affecting the driving behaviour. Unfortunately I forgot that he told me as soon as the error comes again I should go to him without turning off the engine, so we connected the diagnostic device as ECG so to speak and I drove with the data logger really about 100 km with all the harassment mountain, valley, highway full throttle… unfortunately the Feh This was not the case. Diagnosis showed that the values were all in the frame. Device was suspended, on the way home after 10 km light climb, slightly accelerated, error again. Again driven, motor not switched off, diagnosis showed detailed errors with solution approaches, however always with the emergency run requirement which does not occur with me. So we removed the charge air generator (?) the part with the 30 torx under the cover of the engine, was coked, cleaned. cht and I drove overland again, often trying to provoke the mistake, iwann then came back. Try to hit the side pane
Last week they tried to hit the side window in the car. However, the heart didn’t make the bill with Volvo. Glazed glass all around. I used to buy it for 600 € instead of the same costing alarm system. For the sake of interest I looked at what that would have cost for an E-Class and there was no such thing at all. Only with the S-Class it was in the surcharge list for 1500,-€. I heard it in the evening, sitting at my desk. sounded like someone had hit the car. I got out, didn’t see anything, everything was quiet and I’m back in. Only the next day I saw a 10cm long, small crack in the disc. I let it take part in the inspection in 3 weeks. Cost 150€ excess at the partial cascade. What’s the point, that doesn’t bother me. Actually, I live in a quiet area, but there are always such searches. Greetings Helmut

Air conditioning AUTO – function (is that normal?)
Hello guys, I have discovered a small phenomenon with my S60II MY11, which I would like to know now if that’s how it is, or if the software is bouncing. I usually drive with the air conditioning system including the AUTO function. So it lights up the light on the car and on AC. Unfortunately, it’s just that with the car function practically no air comes from the air outlets towards the body. It only comes from the wide strip at the WSS. So if I start at -1° and a uf AUTO, it takes a certain time before it gets pleasantly warm. If I now manually place on body & head/window, then it blows pleasantly as it should from all other ejectors as well. I’m not quite sure, but I imagine that before the last 2.0 update that was still different. There came the air from all currents at the setting AUTO. How is that with you? Do you have an explanation? Should I address this to a new update? PS: In addition, since the Upd ate the switching behavior of the GT in the cold condition strongly deteriorated. (in the warm condition it has improved) The first 2 KM he gets virtually no gear in and it feels as if instead of the 400 only 40 NM would lie on. At some point the WÜK closes and everything runs as it should. Feels like an old Multitronic. .. to me it is quite clear that this should be so – but it is annoying, because you can not speed up quickly but is always busy with the car at 2000 U/min – 2500 U/min. At full throttle (I know you don’t make it cold!) the speed would probably rise to 3500 U/min and the speed would only increase slowly. Do you have any idea to fix these ‘problems’? Thank you!

Engine damage XC60 D5 205 hp
For the posterity and possibly other affected people I have to bring my capital engine damage to the public. First of all to me: I speak for the first time here in the forum and drive for about 17 years Volvo: 850 Combi from 1993 with 140hp, later V70 from 2004 with 140hp and now XC60 with D5 and 205hp, EZ 1/2010. Unfortunately the beautiful XC60 now after only 67,000 km (!!!) has a complete engine damage. The new car warranty had just expired six months. Just in the Url Aub in Sweden the coolant consumption rose rapidly, the warning light lit up. The Volvo workshop on Gotland confirmed a defective cylinder head gasket. Since a repair would have been possible only after 2 to 3 weeks, I decided to return with water (1.5 liters to 50 km!) very carefully to Stockholm. However, even there the largest Volvo dealer in Sweden could not assure me that a repair could take place within a week. efonaten with Volvo Germany the painful payment question was open, I decided to continue driving again and to bring the car – essentially by ferry – back to Germany and to have it repaired. But again surprise: the cylinder head gasket was completely in order, instead the whole engine was in a bucket, as far as I understood a crack between two cylinders. In addition, a defective steering gear was found and replaced. I have always thought that Volvos is absolutely reliable. I wonder how such an expensive vehicle (NP 51,000 €) can suffer a total engine damage after only two and a half years with only 67,000 km and also the steering gear is over. My 850 had even the first exhaust when selling with 279,000 km. My trust in Volvo is of course severely shaken. And only the fact that Volvo paid for the steering gear completely and the new engine to 75 percent ha Do I have a Monday car? Are there such engine damage more often? Do I have to expect a breakdown on longer journeys? Luckily, I still have two Saabs, so that the repair time of two weeks could easily be bridged. I probably should not sell them for the first time – a replacement car is probably not bad if you drive Volvo!

XC60 T6, V-max
Hello municipality, get in 1 month my new T6 Ocean Race, electr.silber with all accessories except driving dynamic package. The v-max is indicated with 210. Is this engine locked up at the XC 60? Where is the oil measuring rod at the XC60 D5 Mj10
Since 14.07.09 I drive the XC60 with 175 HP, MJ10. At the handover my friend could not show me where an oil measuring rod can be found here. In the operating instructions are still descriptions of the MJ09 and there it is on the plastic cover of the engine . . . but unfortunately not with my moose. Has this thing already found one of you? S 80 II packed in foil
When I and my Ohl had made us look for the vehicle, it was clear to us that it was not to be red, black or white. Had to drive again with the Sindelcontainer (bus & train ) So the S80 on Monday the 22.09 left early and d on the 25.09 evening picked up. and I have to say, the boys did a great job. Hole in the engine after just under 80 000 km
Hello, I bought a V60 Momentum (T3 engine, manual gearbox) at the end of 2011. So far I was very satisfied with it. About a week and a half ago the gas suddenly stopped reacting, but after several start-ups it went again. Finally I drove with the last force under the supervision of the ADAC to the nearby home workshop (Volvo dealer). There is the car since then. Suspicion of the ADAC technician was a defective petrol pump. The Volvo-Werkstat t could not limit any definitive cause of error, but with very high probability tapped on the conveyor pump. This was also exchanged. On the test drive carried out by the workshop apparently strange sounds were heard suddenly before it caused a powerful blow. Result: Of something the engine was hit in two places, so that the engine has holes in two places with a diameter of about 5-6 cm. Gottlob nobody happened anything – I want to e don’t imagine what would have happened if the bonnet had been open. The warranty has definitely expired, so I hope for Volvo’s coolness now. A swap engine would probably not make sense anymore economically (as of yesterday the vehicle is worth about 10000 €. Schwacke). Did anyone of you have similar experiences or can someone give me tips on how to proceed best?

V70 – RTI Navi update on 2013 useful?
Hello together I have now found that the previous owner of my car did not make Navi-updates. 2 would have been possible, but nothing happened. When I called the hotline they told me that the option had expired. Thank you. Since 2009 a lot has happened on the streets. But if I look at the software in the Volvoshop, there is an update for this car from 2013. And that’s also been a while. I have the exact number of changes now. No longer in mind, but there are supposed to have been a few thousand. For classified ad portals, there has not yet been the right thing to do, at Volvo it costs about 200 euros. Has anyone already done this update and was able to find out changes? Or does anyone know if there will be the next update in 2015? Thank you

Wind noise from 100kmh on driver’s side V70 MY10
Hello everyone, I’ve had my V70 since March this year (^^), a wind noise on the driver’s side starting at about 100kmh. It sounds like the window isn’t closed properly (but it’s already tried to make a tick down, or to put it up again, everything doesn’t help). I couldn’t locate it exactly yet, I would say it comes from the upper left corner of the door. Have already inspected the door seals, I could not locate it exactly, I would say it comes from the upper left corner of the door. On the passenger side the problem doesn’t occur. I wanted to go on vacation at the end of the month about 2500km, I think the noise will piss me off, so it would be great if someone had a tip for what I should be looking for.
