Hello dear Volvo-Forengemeinde, I have been the owner of a used XC60 (MJ2016) since yesterday. Now I am dealing with my first Volvo intesiv and I discovered this “On Call” or “SOS” button in the sky. A pressure on the “On Call” button caused only a short text fade “The button has to be pressed for more than 2 seconds”. Otherwise nothing happened. Which also seemed logical to me, because I did not conclude an on-call contract with Volvo be. In the “MyCar” menu the entry “Enter Open-PIN” was added in the on-call submenu. As far as all clear and understandable. Today I dared to press this SOS button. I didn’t have a Volvo-On-Call contract anyway and my smartphone was not connected either. What should happen already I thought. I pressed the button longer and there was something on the display with connection. I didn’t think about it now. But suddenly it really rings! Of course, I stopped this immediately and wondered how it was possible without a smartphone and SIM card in the vehicle modem at all. A few minutes later it rang in the car quite shrill and a nice lady on the phone asks me if I need help. One was embarrassed. Of course, I politely apologized and explained the situation to her. She was also a little surprised that these buttons work, although I don’t have a Volvo-On-Call contract. It was then for a while a small SOS symbol is visible in the screen instead of the phone listener, but then disappeared a few minutes after the call. Since this action also the menu item “PIN input” in the on call submenu has disappeared. I don’t know why? And if I press the on call button now, there is no message at all. I don’t dare to press the SOS key anymore. Can someone please tell me about this on call? Why did the emergency call work? rhaupt? How is this technically possible? Snarling of the tailgate at V60 MJ 2013
Hello everybody, I noticed this winter that the tailgate does not use it at low temperatures and for a longer time, when opening makes very alarming knarz noises. Sounds as if Kunsstoff is slipping over Kunsstoff. I sprayed the hinges with silicone oil before, but that didn’t matter how much. Maybe someone could have noticed such a noise when opening the tailgate, and what would be even cooler, someone has a trick like that Is it really embarrassing for my ABM buddies who always smile at my elk from their full premium bodies when his tailgate is opening when jaulting. Is a moose is already clear, it just has to tubes, but maybe there is a solution.

who has a vovlo v70 III with cinematic equipment ….. photos?
hello to everyone, I get a new volvo v70 III as a company car unfortunately only in the cinematic equipment…… now I wanted to ask if someone is already in possession of the new v70 kinetic, and could show me pictures of his vehicle. at the 3 volvo dealers I was with, I could not be shown the cinematic equipment…unfortunately by the way: I had the choice between: audi a4, mondeo, passat, c-class, vectra, laguna or 3er bmw. Engine retrofitting: More powerful motorization possible in the V 60?
GOOD DAY! I drive a V 60 D 4 automatic from the year 2011 with the 2-L 163 HP machine, which now has more than 230,000 km on the clock. XC60 19″ rims
Hello together, am currently looking for 19″ rims for the XC 60 and I’m not quite sure what there is to consider. Currently I have the following rims in mind:Diewe Trina As I said, the rims should be 19″. Unfortunately, I’m not quite sure how the Tüv etc. works (I read that there is something to consider, unfortunately have no or little idea of the whole thing). As a tire I would like to take for the summer 235 R55, should suffice. This combination is identical with the Erakir from Volvo. The Xc 60 is in black, so who still knows nice rims always with it. Do not want to change something on the vehicle etc. maybe someone can tell me what experiences there are with the Tüv etc. or if there can be problems. Thanks in advance !

Dear all, I’m quite new in MotorTalk, so far a V40 1.8i from 1999, now a V70 D3 as family cross-country runner should be here (Bj 2011 163PS, Ocean Race Edition, 45tkm, geartronic, checkheftgepfl. from the dealer). Are there some important features for the second-hand purchase here to consider with the type? As far as I have seen (here on MT) there was a motor update of the D3 in May 2011. Blower interior runs permanently. Resistance/controller defective?
Hi, everybody, I had a strange occurrence today with my moose, V70 from 2013. The ventilation was normal and I wanted to set it down a little bit, but what happened was that the fans were running at full power/speed from now on. I could not change the ventilation performance anymore. Even after turning off the car and turning off the ignition, the ventilation continued to run “full pull”. According to the Volvo Speci, the pre-resistance/controller is very likely defective. that yes, that with defective resistance the fan no longer runs at all… So that the battery is not immediately empty, I first closed off. Had someone ever changed the problem or the controller? Shall sit somewhere in the driver’s footroom. Thank you!
