  • 205/55/17 on V70 D3 ?

Hello to each other, now we drive for about 3,000km winter tires in the dimension 205/60/16. You certainly remember my request if useful etc. So I notice no negative difference to the 225er 17″. On the contrary, the car steers and drives itself “lighter”. Is certainly also due to our driving method, which I consider comfortable as a single stage. Without being a traffic obstacle. Also he does not follow track grooves anymore. Strangely on highway. Now I spin whether not 205/55/17 on the Summeralus should. Roll-off circumference identical, load capacity fits, price cheaper. Does any of you have experience with the tire size? I have to have them entered, sure. Just think about it in the blue….. Greetings Alexander

  • Range

Hej, since I am on holiday with my XC70 in Sweden again, I came up with the idea to stimulate a collection of the possible range information in the display of the vehicle directly after full fuelling. The range shown in the attached photo arose after longer trips on almost flat country roads (with small proportions on forest and field roads) with my XC70 AWD D4 with Polestar performance optimization and large roof box at medium load. I find d it is a very good value and I would be interested in what values other forists have achieved. The calculation of average consumption in many cases yielded values around 6 l/100 km. Many greetings from the island of Gotland Waldelch

  • irregular “twishering/circling” of ventilation

Hello, I have a curious phenomenon with my V70 III 2.5FT BJ2010, which occurs only in winter (temperatures around the freezing point). If you have the ventilation on “car” and drive for a while, then at some point a relatively high frequency noise appears, slightly pulsating and reminiscent of a cricket / chirping bird in the interior. Something difficult to describe. It is not super loud, but well perceptible by the driver and passenger. It may be that the noise after 5min, sometimes n Ach 10min comes, but with a longer ride at these temperatures it comes safely. It then behaves periodically, i.e. after a few minutes of noise it disappears again for several minutes and comes back again. Unfortunately not really regularly. I can create remedy by manually controlling the ventilation motor, from a certain speed it stops. This can be higher but also lower than the “car speed”. What I have already tried – climate on or off makes no difference -eing The temperature generated makes no difference -to manually put airflow up, center or bottom makes no difference Could still test the convection valve, so to manually or to set it to whether this will affect you. I mean, the noise also changes when you drive on gravel runway or slope/fall (that would speak more for the fan motor). What I find curious, however, why does this only occur in winter? Does the hub of the fan motor/is no longer correctly used? In the summer it has disappeared to 100%, no matter how you adjust the automatic air conditioning system. Unfortunately, there are different actuators in the whole ventilation, which might also be in question. Would you like to have precisely diagnosed the cause, before I start to expand everything. Did someone have/had a similar noise only in the winter, which had changed/disappeared with turning at the fan speed? Thanks VG

  • Engine damage D5 205 hp

Good evening, actually I was yesterday because of two other little things in the Volvo Forum. But as it is, one reads and reads. I stumbled over the puzzling cracks in the cylinder block. Our vehicles: S80 II D5 205 hp from 01/2011, 145,000km, freshly bought and XC90 D5 230 hp (Heiko), from 09/2012, now 65,000km, we have been driving for a year. It is quite clear to me that in the forum only those who have a problem report. the affected engines (percentual) as well as affected years of construction? It does not seem to depend on the mileage. Can one prevent anything to avoid the damage? The cars are fast but without ever racing with us, but have to pull 2-3 times a year a 2 tons caravan. Actually, with problem cases I have always had good experiences so far (Alfa 147 JTD 160.000km without problems, C220CDI with the vulnerable Sequentronic almost 300,000km without problems). But if I thank you, good evening.

  • Accelerate DPF regeneration?

Hello, is it actually possible to accelerate the regeneration process of the RPF, for example, by driving only in 5th gear – so high-touring – on the highway? Reason why I ask: My moose, or I, have already stopped the regeneration twice, because the route was too short. After the engine was switched off it was clear to smell that the RPF was in the middle of the regeneration. And unfortunately this was already 2 times in a row. Thank you. LG, Nordisk.

  • Message “On call maintenance required”.

Hello, with my V70 T6 first registration 10/2007 KM Stand 38000 this message comes for some time. “On call maintenance required”. I can push away, but comes again with every restart. According to my dealer, after diagnosis via OBD and computer through the plant the external battery is broken. A new such long-term battery costs allegedly 250.—€ plus mounting. This should be hard to access behind the glove compartment installed. Just like this hidden mounted wur I can still talk about the emergency call button with Volvo Köln. Go over the normal car battery. In case of a serious accident the very good emergency call system is no longer available, since then the normal car battery is immediately separated from the on-board grid and the intended power supply is gone. I have already had 4 times total failure of the car battery in the last 2 years and got 3 new ones, 2 on culancy of the workshop. I was even called by Volvo Köln once that my V70 was reported as stolen by the system, but was then again only an absolute car battery collapsed. Every time everything was measured on “spirit consumers” without finding out. Also the alternator is fine. Is the V70 only designed for frequent drivers? I still have a warranty extension until 10.10.12, but this battery is not supposed to be ert. Would look forward to receiving answers. Greetings Günter

  • Error message V70 D3 ECM- P200A00 and ECM-P200977

Hello together, I recently bought a used V70 D3 with the engine D4204T9 240tkm, was for inspection with the dealer and they have read some error messages (ECM-P200A00 and ECM-P200977). Unfortunately I find not much information about these error messages. The AGR valve was changed by the previous owner at the dealer exactly 23 months ago. What I wonder is whether these error messages have something to do with the repaired (completely exchanged) AGR valve I would be happy if you could help me there. At the moment I have no problems driving, but could it be expensive at some point or what would you recommend? Thank you very much. Error messages are actively available according to the last reading(inspection): ECM- P200977 control circuit impeller intake manifold low (bank 1)- Mechanical error request position not reachable . ECM-P200A00 Switching suction tube, power bank 1 CEM-P167400 Software Control module damaged CEM-U030141 Incompatibility Software with ECM/PCM – System internal error- Allgeminer Errors checksum

  • XC60 BJ2011 kicks and nobody finds anything. 🙁

Hello forum members, maybe you can help me, because our car (XC60 D3 163PS 2011) has had the problem for about 1.5 years that it “jumps”. Up to 30 km/h you don’t notice anything about it, especially about the 50 km/h, if you give little gas, then it jerks. The engine itself, it seems to us, runs at every speed quite normal, as soon as you decouple the car during the ride, it also runs calmly, as soon as you switch again to “D The strange thing about it is that there is one of about 30 rides, where he doesn’t have the problem, then he runs quite quietly. I was already in two workshops, among other things with Volvo itself but you can’t find anything. At Volvo they said that you could change the AGR valve and cooler at a flat rate. But 1200 euros and then is not even sure that it will fix the cause? Of course, that’s all very awkward. Greetings, because except for this problem (and drive El. tailgate) we are fully satisfied with the car. Does anyone have tips? Thank you very much Best regards Markus

  • Buy Used V60 D6 PIH

Dear community, after a very long time and additional “foreign” (due to a company car) I am now ready for my own moose again. My last V60 T6 was quite a fun machine, but now it should at least become “something more reasonable”. The D6 PIH has fascinated me since its introduction. And now used models are also affordable. Now I have come across one with the following basic data: Summum BJ 08.2014 145,000 km Full packed with almost everything (except for r Keyless Go) Now to the actual question: The only thing that gives me a bit of abdominal pain here is the rather high km driving performance. Is there of you experiences, whether e.g. the battery is “sucked out” or other hints, whether it is advisable or not to buy such a car. Thank you for your opinions!

  • Blinker acoustic signal vs. illumination in the display

Values Meanings, Since I am driving with my concerns the following: After a long time I drove again with the V60 of my dear wife and see, a long-repressed phenomenon disturbed my calmness. It is a V60 with full display. When you set the turn signal, the turn signal of the respective direction flashes. As far as so good. BUT the acoustic signal always sounds when the sign in the display goes out. So exactly the opposite to any other Fa It has always been the case, since it is my wife’s vehicle, I have simply successfully displaced it. Blinking (signs) occurs evenly beeping takes place evenly But just offset. Does anyone else? Is that normal? I claim that there is no classic blinker relay installed here and that all comes from some funny ECU. I can hardly remember that the elk master said that there is nothing to do… Vi Elleicht can help your impressions! Thank you in advance, Dear Greetings DeP
