Heating power XC70 /MJ 2009
Hello, the heating power of my xc70 is no longer satisfactory. Even after 30km of highway only lukewarm air comes out of the nozzles. Even at requested 30 degrees, the air conditioning system probably means it is warm enough and only waves a little warm air to the interior. The fan makes trouble and also turns automatically high, although it is never controlled to maximum. Can I do manually, on the fan itself is apparently not. That could be more if it should. In the lukewarm car set at the automatic 15 degrees the fan drives to maximum speed and the air conditioning cools. The temperature sensor detects at least the temperature range and regulates void. The cockpit unfortunately has no water temperature indicator anymore, I have no idea if the cooling water is not warm enough to deliver what to the heating (thermostat always open?) or whether the small circuit already cooks (thermostat always too). islauf is actually sitting the heat exchanger? A message or warning light in the cockpit did not come yet. Did someone already have the problem and could solve it? Tightened to answer and recommendations… Tom

Start/stop drives strange things
Good evening all around My name is Ralph, I live in Switzerland and since last summer I drive a 2013 V70 DrivE with man. Gearbox and now almost 100tsd km. I find the start/stop system actually quite good. However, it does not work with me properly. I thought that was due to the cold temperatures and a possibly somewhat tired battery. When I strangled the engine recently, the system started the engine without murmuring. I then got the car under pain still two It worked out again every time – green lamp came and the engine went on. Before the traffic lights (unlock the gear) nothing happens and the engine continues to run. Does one of you know that? I know, this system is not very popular here, but I want it to be as planned by the manufacturer… Thanks for your feedback and nice greetings from Bern Ralph

205/50 R17 to V60
Hello, I have the opportunity to get a Volvo V40 wheel set. The rims are original 17 inches from Volvo with summer tyres 205/50 R17. Can I drive them on my V60 D2 (MY12)? This combination is not included in the manual. I have already written to Volvo Support, of course no response In the PDF attachment, this rim/tire combination for V60 is also not listed. Is this perhaps because the V60 is too heavy for this tyre size? D anke in advance!

Lend vertebral support no longer adjustable
Hello, I have the problem in my XC70 MJ15 that I can no longer adjust my lumbar support from one day to the next. If I press the switch on the seat, then for this moment the light of the window lifter control unit as well as the foot room lighting goes out. The same applies to the passenger seat. I have no electric seats, but this lumbar support is apparently not a component of the control unit for the seat adjustment, but something of my own. H abe looking for the right option in Vida for a long time today, but just can’t find the position where I can check the function via Vida. Does anyone have a tip? LG, Steve

Hello since recently owner of a V70 III EZ 2009 had just been looking for something spacious as a successor for my Mondeo MK3, and then very coincidentally ended up with the V70… some questions have already asked me: — Display engine temperature (meaning to retrofit?) — permanent display of consumption in the BC display (not to have to reset every time after restart) — Tyre: actually only 225/50R17 possible/approved to 7Jx17x50? (possible alternatives??) — GearTronic (sports mo yous? not found..) — “permanent” message “no belts on rear seats” … switchable?! — jack? – (tire-rep kit is included) with jack I feel safer… — xenon-light light light-wide regulation at high load?! (changes – types?) — despite overpassing with about 110 km of access, came the day later “battery level too low” -> had been moved for some time at the previous owner little .. -> normal voltage values at the V70? — OBD2 – recommended devices (possibly for temp- Display useful?) .. maybe there are a few tips and tricks as moose cubs that would be worth mentioning?! eg. BordComputer tips and info eg. to the very loud belt warning sound?? many greetings Joe

V70 III D5 185 hp power oscillators
Hello together, have a 2008 V70 D5 185 hp with 222,000 KM. I’m already browsed through the forum here, but not exactly my problem again. In my case I have a power drop from 3000 rpm, also a no longer clean turn up or a jerk is clearly noticeable. If I turn it (rarely) times up to or over 4000 rpm, he reacts afterwards abundantly delayed to’s accelerator, takes sometimes really long until he reacts to the gas again. Last week I drove AB, accelerated up to 200 km/h on a very slight climb, then the power fell with constant gas position until I was down to 160 km/h, full throttle did not bring anything. after the AB descent he ran up to 3000 rpm again normal. No error in the dilplay. 2nd syndrome he had after a overtaking manoeuvrable mountain, also with speed up to 4000 rpm, afterwards the driving distance went about 5 KM mountain, when I then left the place again I wanted to accelerate the performance completely away, felt like without a turbo, think a kind of emergency running program. Then I drove some KM until I was at the finish. After turning off the engine and 45min standstill it ran again (up to 3000 rpm) normal. Also no error message in the display. oil & filter change is done regularly, last time before 10000 KM. If I could use the symptom of one to narrow down the cause somewhat, would be grateful to you.. !! Thanks already in advance and LG, Otmar

Hello to everyone, has anyone ever had experience with Polestar with the XC 60 FW D4 with 190 hp? If so, would I be interested to know if you can even notice the low performance increase of 10 hp. XC70, BJ 2015 Noise of front axle/turbo/window heater partially without function
Hello municipality, I’ve had a used XC70 (100,000) for about a week and a half. I noticed a relatively fast noise coming from the front axles, which only occurs during the ride at low speeds, even even when it’s a small one. This noise, when the engine has cooled down or the car has just started, can also be a little louder for a short time. But then, after about 20 seconds, it goes away and becomes quieter. It’s a somewhat high grinding sound (sounds like once Keilr Can something have happened to the brakes (tire pressure control system before) in the course of the tyre change, while other rims were also raised? Is somehow my guess. The second phenomenon is the turbo. I have the feeling that this is partly whistling (quick high tone). Is that normal? As I said, is only a feeling. Can you test the turbo somehow? Since I don’t think the disk tint is nice, I had it removed from the workshop. I found out today that there are three heating tapes without function. But after checking I could not detect any injuries to the heating tapes. Question: Is it possible to test and fix this somehow professionally or do I have to get out the disk? I have an appointment with the car salesman (Volvo dealer) tomorrow, so I will of course address these points. But I thought it might not be wrong to collect opinions/ideas in advance. V70 III D5 – Exhaust gases in the engine compartment
Moin, I just came home and let the car run a little before I put it off. Then I smell –> exhaust gas in the interior. In front of the headlights slowly and greyishly –> exhaust gas. Armed with a flashlight and mobile phone camera, I open the hood and look for where the stuff comes from. Unfortunately, I couldn’t exactly locate it. It’s not surprising, however, that it came up from behind the engine. In addition to the tackering, there’s also a periodic sound to be heard, like a situation r(?). (-> Videos) While I’m still standing there, I suddenly hear a mechanical noise, some planned control (?) and also the engine noise change slightly. The periodic noise and smoking stop. I don’t watch this for the first time, but I finally got it recorded. What about the cuckoo can that be? If this was a crack in the exhaust manifold, then it would always have to be. If there are exhaust gases from under the car/particle filter up into the engine compartment?
