Hello together, I looked at an early V70 III AWD from 2007, basically I liked it quite well, but unfortunately the PDC sensors and the alternator (‘generator defective, urgently visit workshop’) were defective. Are the known ‘children’s diseases’ or is that more the exception? What does it look like with the series/generation (the S80 II is closely related) with the reliability in old age? Does the AWD have problems (in the V70 II there were probably problems with the angleget Thank you and greetings Sebi

Volvo inspection at 50,000km?
Hello dear ones, I basically have a simple question: I bought my Volvo with 34,000km last year in July, at this time an inspection was carried out by the friendly seller (Volvo dealer). Well, after almost a year he shows me at 50,000km “register for service” – to what extent should I follow it? Next oil change would be only at 63,000km. Or does this also refer to filters, look through, and similar things? Thanks for your information, nice greeting Volvo V60 T3, Year of construction 07/2011, currently 50,000km on the clock.

D5 – 205 HP: Recurring low coolant loss
Hello driver of the above engine, I checked the car (V70, 12/2010, approx. 48000km) about 1 week ago a recurring minimal (0,2 – 0,3 Ltr.) coolant loss. My friend checked the car (V70, 12/2010, approx. 48000km) but could not discover any cause. During the 2nd attempt he had a message from Volvo, which described the problem and asked the workshops to write a detailed report. After my friend had done this, he received a call from Volvo Deutschl the next morning. and, with the release for a new engine. My engine should be sent back to Sweden immediately to investigate the cause. If I receive feedback from my friend, I will share it here. Who has similar experiences?

V60 coupling encoder cylinder
Hello everyone, According to Vida, when replacing the clutch encoder cylinder with the V60 (D4204T5, BJ 2014) the installation position is to be marked / have not done this work yet but for me the reason does not open up… The encoder cylinder is to be unlocked by means of special tool with approx. 1/4 revolution in the interior counterclockwise but the installation position of the new cylinder would have to be defined by the position of the two connections (inlet and outlet) or dadurc h be self-explanatory?! Can someone explain this to me or do I see something? Thank you in advance, Lg, Michael

Kaufberatung – V70 III or V60 II?
Hello community and hello swarm intelligence I would be happy about your (subjective and objective) assessment for a used car purchase. So far I have driven a V60 T4 SUMMUN (2011) with manual transmission. Unfortunately, the engine is now over after 252000km.. Now needs a new one, which ideally still creates 100,000km and more. My driving performance varies professionally between 10,000-30,000km and I can not quite see yet, but probably more so 15,000km on average. ig is with safety, comfort and especially reliability over a long mileage. Quasi a car for eternity. So a Volvo I’m looking for Volvo Combi with 100,000-150.000km automatic and like summum or full leather and cruise control. Priced would be about 15,000-20.000€. Preferably diesel. For me the following models come into question: – V70 III (BJ/MJ from 2011) – V60 II (BJ/MJ from 2019) On the used car market there are both in my price and mileage range. Question: What does (prognostically) last longer? The “older” V70 less technology or the “newer” V60? I am aware of the risks of buying used cars, but I am ideally looking for reliable models/engines. Therefore, I am concerned about forecasts and not about safety, even if that would be desirable. Best regards Slooppe PS: I am very important that it is a Volvo engine and not a Ford/PSA…

New V60 – and now?
Moin together! I was there again today and looked at the new V60, sat in it and tried this and that. And now, I’m infected and don’t know where to take the flap 60 mille from to treat my infection. No, I don’t go there during opening hours and no, I don’t drive it sample either. I’m already infected and it shouldn’t get worse… Man, this is a fancy part!!! So, another topic or a question to the old V60 I would have: The newer V60, that is the one with the Facelift from 2014, has 3 water spray nozzles under the hood, my Vorfacelift has only 2 nozzles on the hood. Does someone happen to know if I can use the 3-nozzle variant instead of the 2-nozzle variant? I fall into my V60 dreams again… Have a nice Sunday! Greetings from Max

Coolant loss on D2
Hello Volvo specialists, unfortunately I had to forcibly separate myself from my good old V40 1.9D BJ2004, as such a kasper is driven in the back result: Economical total damage. My V40 was the “best car I ever had (7 years) I stay true to Volvo of course and got me another one. A V60 BJ2013 D2. A nice car, is actually fully satisfied, but…. Since I got it (12.2017), I had to refill 3 x cooling water already. It is k If the indicator indicates “low coolant level, safe to hold”, then the cooling water level is clear (1-2cm) under min. I open the lid, then the level goes over Max, even if the car has cooled down 24 hours. That means it is really pressure in the cooling system. If I then pour in a good 250-500ml, after a short drive the water level between Min and Max. After a good 1000km I am then again under min. I have a lot of fun. Be read a lot about “Loss of coolant” but nowhere found yet what about a D2 (only D3-5) Does the D2 in my series also have “Motorproblem? If so, how does Volvo feel about it? Since there is absolutely nothing to be seen about leakage, I also suspect a “Motorproblem” (head gasket, crack in the block, engine evaporates cooler water, etc.) Has someone here ever had such a thing in connection with a D2. Thanks for every feedback.

Towing operation: PDC and 2nd indicator in the cockpit at the V70 ?
Moinsen Bande, once asked for a short time, because I was a bit irritated. I always had a 2nd flasher indicator in the V70 II with attached trailer which flashed with it, thus always the certainty everything correctly connected. Now I also equipped the successor with a Westfalia so far the Jaeger electric set… 1. no 2nd flasher indicator 2. the stupid PDC beeps itself to a wolf as soon as the reverse is in it. Questions thus: to 1: does the really no 2nd anzeigen? to 2: has the still someone m it nem Jaegersatz? and a 3: Did someone with VIDA turn on the PDC so that it is switched off on ignition and is only used manually if necessary? S60 – what does it expect me to do?
Hello together, since my company is just changing from Audi to Volvo and I had to order my new car, I made it more or less on the Volvo homepage. (Having oriented me regarding the equipment and total price to my “old” Audi A4) The following came out for the time being: S60 sapphire black, D4 181 hp, 8 gear automatic. Equipment: Summum Packages: R-Design, Business Package Pro, Xenium, Light Package, Safety Comfort Package Since I didn’t have a Volvo before. I’m curious what to expect. (I’m a frequent driver with about 60,000 km/year, mostly highway) Does anyone have a similar vehicle and can describe experience impressions to me?

Audi Bang&Olufsen vs Volvo Premium Sound
Has anyone ever been able to compare the two sound systems? If I am properly informed, Premium Sound is no longer offered by Dynaudio, but by Harman Kardon. B&O (not the Advanced) has 14 speakers in the Audi A4, in a Volvo V60 there are 12 speakers. I don’t think the number of speakers is very important. B&O is certainly not bad, but you still pay for the design. I guess Premium Sound shows even more detail. I myself listen to it, maybe there are people who have already had experiences with the two sound systems. Thank you for your contribution! Gruss, Kuno
