  • XC60 Preheated exhaust gases in the interior

Hello! I had the following problem the day before yesterday. After I started the heater by FB, I went to the parking lot about 15 minutes later. At this time the exhaust fumes from the right fender smoke. After I examined the phanoomaun further I found that the exhaust of the heater is so close under the engine compartment (underfloor just behind the right front wheel) that the exhaust gases were sucked in again by the ventilation. When I opened the vehicle I found out that smoke fumes were already coming out of the ventilation in the interior. Since today my little one is at the . time what he finds out. However, it can not be normal that Abgsae can get into the interior. Could also be life-threatening once if you don’t notice it in time and sit in the car. Does any of you have similar problems? Greeting DeBerliner

  • Can you buy one like that without hesitation?

Dear forum members! I plan to buy an XC70 D5 AWD Geartronik BJ 2009. He has already managed almost 270,000 km and I wonder if you can buy such an elk. He is service-kept, a detailed repair history of the Volvo workshop is available to me. I am rather a little driver. I only come to approx. 10,000 km per year. In 10 years I am then at 370,000 km and then it is a more typical running performance for a VOLVO, right? I already have a 25-year-old VW T3 with very little km. But I still have to repair something again. I just like this car. I know that I have to reckon with the one or the other repair. But the car still costs 15,000,- and a total failure or engine damage would be fatal of course. Should I rather spend 5000,- more and buy one with less running power? Since I would buy the vehicle from a Volvo dealer and thus I also have warranty, the short-term risk keeps in limits. But in 12 months the least I don’t have a kilo?

  • XC60-MY12 Cold start problem ? engine makes noise

Hello people, (my first forum, my first entry, hopefully it’s so right) have a Volvo XC60 / Automatic 163PS Built 07/2012 , EZ03/13 , bought 01/14 with 25tsd KM. At minus degrees the engine makes a noise which is not quite awesome to me. The colder, the more intense the noise. Warm the engine is a force. I would describe the noise like this: underground, towing “tock, tock, tock”. Of course, a cold diesel doesn’t sound really great, it just lacks the smoothness. My VOLVO dealer showed me, when I asked for the noise, a leader. The stood for days in the corner and when I started the engine, at -5degrees, he listened coldly, but without that noise from mine. Unfortunately, we had now +8degrees and my dealer did not notice anything. No noise had to say any noise, but with bad luck is only possible next winter… at night and on Frost there’s only hope?

  • Who am I?

…was not only a TV show, but is sometimes an idea of me that you can get to know yourself better here if necessary. Who wants to write something about himself here. The scope he determines himself. A game rule should be adhered to: It is WER I , not WHAT am I, so it is not about scale thinking higher faster and so on. Maybe this also creates regional contacts or networks that are good for all sides. Everything can not have to be. I just start with criteria that can be supplemented as desired. 1.) Age: 43 2.) Occupation: balance bookkeeper, employed 3.) Home: Schwalm-Eder-Kreis, Nordhessen 4.) How to get to Volvo: Already always sympathy, come from “VW-Past” 5.) Since when Volvo: 03.2003 6.) Favoritevolvo: C70 Coupe I, V90, V70 II FL 7.) How satisfied have you been with Volvo (VCG, dealer, workshop): Already very satisfied 8.) Have you (improvement) suggestions for this forum: Live and let yourself be creative 9.) Basically you have Kju? What kind of technical strength?

  • V70 III – Ex-works heater – Webasto Thermo Top V replacement heater

Hello together, with my V70 more often the stationary heating was on strike last winter. Since error memory was read out and reset only at short notice, I now want to replace the complete heater. I can then overtake the old heater and either use it as a replacement or sell it. This is probably the most sustainable solution. Has anyone ever made the exchange? The exchange at Volvo amounts to more than 2000 €, whereby the heater itself stands at 1800 € on the estimate. However, I find this unusually high, but according to Volvo this is the price for the heater. The non-binding oral statement of a Bosch service (Webasto representation) had the heater with approx. 800 €. Here I will ask again. Does anyone know whether the webasto Thermo Top V installed from the factory is somehow adapted to Volvo or is this the same model that I would get at the Bosch service? Already thanks for your answers.

  • Engine selection

Hi the manschaft, I need your support. I want to buy a Volvo XC60 (between 2009 and 2013). The problem is, there are really many engine variants, and it’s really hard for me to make a decision. I have a few requirements: it has to be a diesel car because I drive at least 3500km a month, and should also be normal in terms of maintenance costs. With such small SUVs I would like to prefer an autimatic transmission, but if it makes sense, I prefer to let the professionals decide. And if you also know other SUVs that are good, please just mention, it can always help.

  • Error code engine control “unknown”

Hello together, since you helped me with the tailgate already so super …. here a new challenge with my V70. I get error messages again and again … after reading I see (also attached as picture): – 250A17 – 010117 – 058982 Unfortunately all unknown. Do you also have such errors and what can that be? Thank you and dear greeting, Alex

  • Maximum speed Volvo V60 D4 190 hp

Hello together, have ordered a Volvo V60 D4 190hp hand switch and thus change from my 2013 V60 D5. The D5 was at 230 km/h (Tacho 235km/h) noticeably regulated, so you had the feeling he could go faster, straight downhill. Is that also so with the current D4 or can this “free” drive, as fast as the air resistance, the tires and the traffic allows it. Can someone say something about it? According to Volvo he runs 225km/h… Is now nothing world-moving, but would be very interested, since I am already looking forward to delivery like Bolle. 🙂

  • Questions about the V60

Hello all, I’ve been looking for a used car for quite some time and after countless hours on the internet, in car dealerships and during test drives it probably runs out of a V60. The basic data are diesel, Navi, Xenon and a maximum of about a year old. There are also several interesting offers with me nearby, which I have already looked at. Unfortunately, during my test drives I failed to look at a few things and in time quite tensed. Maybe you can help me there. What can actually be shown to me for information in the display of the analog tachos? On my test drive the speed was displayed here all the time, and of course the usual hints a la door not too, not fastened. But with the digital versions for example also the Navi hints are shown. Is this also possible with the analogue? At the moment the interior mirror is not frameless and blinds still automatically. Is the optional automatically blinding inside mirror with Kinetic an identical or there are again differences? How much does the D2 and the D3 seem to be bigger than the D3?

  • V60 D5 GT ordered– I can’t wait

Hello, today it was finally time, after a long time back and forth, looking, being indiscriminate, I ordered my first elk: V60 D5 GT Momentum Sapphire Black Metallic R-Design Package IXION II 8.0×19 Winter Package Light package Driver assistance package PRO Bussines Package Parking assistance front/back air quality system speed abh. Power steering shift paddles on the steering wheel abn. AHK Bin company car driver and so about 70-80TKM on the road a year. So far I always had VW Passat, wanted to leave. So I went looking for an alternative to Volvo. What should I say….. put in and feel good. Wasn’t me with any other car like that, be it 3s, A4 or anything else. The engine is not a bad thing, well, I have to say fairer wisely that I am coming from a 140hp TDI manufacturer ;o) But the sound prepares goose skin! Actually, I was already shot on the 3s. But after a test ride with a car rental, then the 2014 did not meet the joy.
