I had reported the last time that a newly built-in V-belt was torn when a new air compressor was renewed and an engine damage occurred because the steel threads destroyed the timing belt. Now came the report that the car workshop has ingested a V-belt which can be used for all vehicles but NOT for Volvo! Has anyone experience if I have to have my car repaired in this workshop because it is legally regulated that the workshop the Rech This was my topic on 31.08.2016 Volvo xc 60 D5 AWD Summum First registration 2010 After my air conditioning has given up the spirit and I wanted to have the damage repaired in a free workshop, which specializes in Kliemaanlagen, I was told that the rib belt is torn, the climate compressor is blocked and needs to be renewed, we are renewing both V-belts and the climate compressor. Wonderful !!!!!! After a month The whole engine gave up the spirit while driving in the city. First I saw that the big NEW V-belt, which is connected to the alternator etc., was torn and had my best friend dragged into the workshop. Then it turned out that the steel wires which in the V-belt have loosened have wandered into the housing from the timing belt and have cut the timing belt. Now I stand there with a motor-total damage and do not know if the air conditioner man d I’m now in a VOLVO contract workshop and they can’t understand how the damage happened. Apparently, I’m sitting all over it now. I’ll go to a lawyer for advice tomorrow.

D4 engine becomes loud hydrostössel ?
Hello Volvo fans, I’ve had my moose since Nov. 2013 and so far I’ve had 215000 km without a test. However, for some time now I have the impression that the engine (It’s about the D4 163 hp diesel) is racing. What do the experts say here? Can it be the hydro-stumps?Video XC 60 First of all, try an Aditiv. Who has experience?

Volvo XC60 D4 engine 133KW 181PS oil loss
Hello dear Volvo municipality, since I am glad that you get help again and again in forums I would like to post an important entry now. I have in July 2019 a used Volvo XC60 built in 2015 110000 Km run with the 2.0 D4 133KW/181 Ps engine bought. Hardly had I moved the vehicle two three hundred kilometers I should already refill half a Lieter oil. I found that very strange. But just look at it I thought. Then about 1000 kilometers danger This time I asked the Volvo Garage to take care of it. 0.7 Lieter were duly filled in. The friendly said 95% is now good.? Then went on vacation about 800 km.There then oil level still on Max. Then the same distance back and then at home oil level low. Immediately again contact to the friendly received. After two days then feedback received vehicle exactly under the magnifying glass 1 cylinder defect, You get a new engine ;-). Luckily the vehicle still has a little factory warranty. I have to say I’m excited about Volvo and the garage other manufacturers say 50 liters on 100 kilometers is normal ;-). I would be happy if I could help someone with this greeting e-car laugher

Reporting low cooling water level – Volvo V60 D5 Model 2013 (built in 2012) 55000 KM
Hello, I have a V60 D5 Model 2013 (built in 2012) Polstar. Running power 55,000 KM. Be a few days the car shows me that coolant would be low, but only in very sharp turns or at full speed acceleration. The level is however exactly between MIN and MAX. I still have a little cooling water after that and now it is slightly over MAX. Nevertheless, the report comes with sporty curves, although not quite so often, but it still comes. In front, in front of the cooler is a thick hose coming from the cooler. This is EIS cold. Fan is working. Anyone a tip? Thank you Rolf

Purchase advice Volvo S80 II D3
Hello guys I’m currently looking for a limousine (D/E segment) and there’s the possibility to buy a 2010 Volvo S80 II D3 which also has 252tkm and is located in Marbella Have heard that this engine comes from Volvo, a 2.0 turbodiesel 5-cylinder, so definitely no HDi from PPE (which are not bad engines, but only in case….) Reliability of these engines? Expensive maintenance? Or things I should pay attention to when buying?

Ruckle at 1600 – 2000 rpm
For some time now I have felt a slight jerking at approx. 1600 – approx. 2000 rpm, mostly shortly before switching. The switching processes themselves run smoothly. I hold the accelerator pedal position, see slight speed fluctuations in the DZM. With the trailer on it the jerking is more felt. Before the holiday trip I had read out with VIDA. I don’t know the code anymore. But it was a mistake in the fuel ventilation system behind The error occurred more frequently. MKL doesn’t work. After the deletion, the jerking was gone, and then it reappeared later. Rereaded again, again the error. Deleted, no jerking. As far as I have so good. Here on vacation only Tourque with me. As written, the jerking became noticeably stronger on the last kilometers. Read out, error code P0440. Deleted, but no improvement. It doesn’t matter, by the way, whether the automatic, or I switch manually. Any idea n? Can the wrinkling be triggered by the error? The INet means “no” or doesn’t count it with the symptoms. When I’m back, I want to look at the ventilation system and clean the DK.

On-board computer, interior mirror and presentation
Good day together, it’s time ! ! ! Since yesterday 14:03 o’clock I am happy owner of a V70. Year of construction 2008 Motor 2.4L D5 / 185PS summum in elektrasilbermtallic Finally again Volvo. I drove a 945 many years ago and after several Mecedes vehicles now got the curve to Volvo again. Great car, the ride home was a huge fun. Look forward to an interesting exchange in this forum. Now to my question: the onboard computer works – does not work – does not work – fold t a bit – works – doesn’t work … Is not the most important instrument now, but doesn’t bother if it doesn’t work. Is this error known? With little effort to fix it? More expensive like the whole car? Looking forward to your answers. Ahhh, I also have a second question: the interior mirror is very easy to adjust – can you adjust the straighter? If yes, how does it work? Greetings Stefan

Problem power grid/charging current/on-board voltage. Lima controller?
Servus, the following problem: Since my engine damage, I have become a little thin-skinned and regularly read out the most common values by OBD for a long time. Now I noticed that the on-board voltage is often lowered to below 12V and the battery is no longer charged. Strangely, it is then that in thrust mode everything is normal again, as soon as I give gas, but again everything sucks off. With me in the city in the mountains not so tragic, but on the AB there are not so long mountains e… Finishing the engine and the car sometimes solves the problem. Then everything is as usual again. The test run via VIDA has been done by Lima without any problems. I have excluded errors in the app as well as the dongle, with my son with the identical car everything works as it should. Now the question arises whether someone has had this before. I actually only think of the controller of Lima or the Lima itself. It would also be possible to make any mistake when installing the replacement engine. s, cable or similar. Control unit (power requirement after load) could possibly also cause problems? Lima, if it was not changed by the previous owner, has a good 225000km on it. I could not detect any extraordinary noises. Does any of the electric professionals have an idea here? Thanks already in advance. Stefan

Too much rust
Dear community, the topic of rust has been discussed in detail here in the forum, but this mainly related to damage in the interior. My Volvo V70III D4 is now almost 5 years old with a mileage of approx. 130TKm. Recently I was on the main examination and the friendly TÜV examiner said that I should have an underbody protection replacement before next winter, because the rust is very strong at various places (including welds). This time it is still I don’t know anything about Volvo (and other brands). My predecessor (V70 I) had no recognizable rust spots after 12 years and 240TKm. How are your experiences? Thank you for your answers + greetings Hugo

How do I see if my 2015 elk has turned on the light?
I’ve already searched under “day running light”, but I didn’t find anything about my current problem. So here’s my question: My light switch in the V60 MY2015 is on automatic. Now it happens often in the fog-time right now, which I don’t know if my moose has turned on the light or not. How do I recognize that? Does anyone have a tip for me?
