Hello, my name is Kadir Elikara. I’m new here and wanted to ask a question directly. I pick up my first Volvo V60 on 24 July. BJ 2012 T6 305PS with the 6 gear Geartronic transmission. I’ve been able to read very good experiences about the engine so far. But I haven’t found any concrete experience on the subject of 6 gear automatic transmission so far. Could you tell me if the transmission is generally good and can also take off more power/torque? LG from NDS

Water drops from roof sky V70 III WITHOUT sliding roof
Hello dear community, I just read a little bit about the topic of water intrusion here. It seems to be quite normal if you have a sunroof. This is not the case here, mine has no sunroof. With my nearly 3 year old V70 it dripped yesterday about 200ml (with a cup caught) out to the reading light on the center console, see picture. Before that can come please? Greetings to all P.s.: So slowly enough with the moose. Just 3 months ago the in the work was instead, because the pump of the el. tailgate pushed its oil into the D-pillars and a 500€ exchange was due. Closely followed by that it did not come through its first (!!!) TÜV, 1 week after the inspection. That was in the 3 years at 5 visions (due to performance). And now that. Of course not covered by the extended warranty. Upper middle class looks really different. So slowly I regret not having taken the A6 Allroad. 3 years is not an age. *pffr t*

New member – the first VOLVO 🙂
Hello everybody, I would like to say hello to you very briefly and introduce ourselves: We haven’t owned a VOLVO yet. However, we already found that VOLVO has a relatively good reputation and therefore the XC60 was on a list of 4-5 vehicles that were in question as a new purchase. As a diver and motorcyclist we wanted a large station wagon or an SUV that “makes a little bit of a difference”, not a pure lifestyle show car. The requested competitors in the SUV class were, according to my subjective assessment, smaller or had a lower price/performance ratio. My secret favourite (with the four rings in the emblem) had a slightly lower list price in comparable equipment but the new car financing was simply unacceptable. When our VOLVO dealer then also looked up with an almost unbeatable financing offer, since we were still hesitant, we could not say “no”. Now we are very much looking forward to our new Large ones we are called “Gustav”. Agreed delivery date is 27.07., three days before my birthday, after just under eight-and-a-half weeks delivery time, which we find ok. Volvo XC60, R-Design with the D4 engine and 8-Gang Geartronic transmission. In addition we have: – Savile-Grau Metallic-Lack – the business package with HPS and Sensus Connect – Winter package – Light package – Loading space package for sports seats – Driver seat electrically adjustable with memory function – Side and rear window a bgedunkt – trailer coupling, removable – the vinyl luggage compartment protective mat, the Gumi foot mats and the tunnel cover ordered. Supplement from 25.07.2016 – Gustav has been standing at the dealer’s office since 21.07. and we took a first look at him… 🙂 – see pictures

License plate size for the current S60
Hello guys, I need your help. In one month I have to register my new S60 and I wonder if it would be chic to have the plates made slightly smaller than the standard parts. However, the dealer didn’t think that would go ahead, since a holder in standard size is already mounted from the factory side. What does that look like in the back, someone knows that? Can you make it smaller there, or does it look weird / or doesn’t go like that?

Automatic gearbox moves when switching position D is inserted
Hello together, I noticed two days ago that when inserting D the gearbox ruptured. In the stand with kicked brake of course! He does not always do that. I have now about 16,000 km on the clock. About 1/2 year ago I got an update. Know the problem only from years ago when there was a choke and thus the stand gas was too high.

…new moose in the stable…
Hello, after a long time of thinking, I have done it now… I turned my back on the 5 cylinder. I decided everything else than easy. I drove a total of 13 years 5 cylinders. Now for the new: S80, D4, Momentum, 8 gear GT, FWD, special model “Selection”, 181PS VEA, EZ 04/2016, 14.000Km, inscription crystal white, lots of additional packages,… I just had to hit. Last but not least, my driving profile has changed (every day almost 100km) I drove the D5 AWD hardly at all. r 8 liters. At the VEA I am currently at 5,8. I’m really surprised what Volvo could get out of a 4 cylinder. The VEA is extremely crisp, splashy and agile! The 8 gear GT is THE machine I ALWAYS wanted!!! A dream! No more tedious grinding in the gears, no more useless turning back, simply ALWAYS the right gear available. Also, the switching times are considerably shorter than with the classic 6 gear GT. The absolutely unique 5 cylinder Sou However, I already miss… The VEA starts to scream a little from 4,000 rpm. But I don’t feel like unpleasant, or even disturbing. I also miss the AWD a little. In kickdown the 400 NM clearly drags on the steering wheel. But – that’s how I think – it’s just a habit. I have to get used to the (standard) sports suspension, too… My dear Jolly. :-))) Nevertheless… I wouldn’t want to change any more. 🙂 LG, Nordisk

Retrofits Retrofits
Hello to all moose enthusiasts, I am about to buy a used XC60 D3 MY2016. As I naturally had to cut down on the equipment, I ask myself whether one or the other can be adapted even better by retrofitting and retrofitting. First there is the driver’s seat. It is only manually adjustable. Can man replace it by an electrically adjustable one? Is this technically feasible? I know this will cost a rod. It is only a question of feasibility. is the AHK. Mein will do 1200,-. Westfalia AHK with installation comes so about on 430,-. Must with a foreign installation the still something unlocking or can you trust the Westfalia people and drive without activation? The question about tuning is still too early. But basically what is preferred with the practitioners. Haico or Polestar? And have the already sets for the D3 motor? Did not find anything in their lists! I then report again after the first few TKm. greeting macgeorge

Engine cooling maintenance required
Hello together, yesterday was with my moose (XC60 2.4D MY2010 ) in Sweden. After about 50 km came the error message “motor cooling maintenance required” can you push away, no problem. Unfortunately then it became slowly cold in the car, because the heating despite Max. no more power brought. I then stopped and determined that the cooler fan runs full force, as if the coolant temperature is very high. Cooling water is ice cold, however, because outside temperature at approx. -3 degrees. of course explains the heating problem. I then made several breaks, but the problem was still there. Next, error message “oil level low, 1 liter refill ” maintenance is two weeks and 1000Km back, can not actually be. This morning from the ferry, car ice cold, after 1min warning message back there, fan full polle. After 5 km on the highway, self-repair is done, everything is back to normal. At the ran, error memory read out, everything I.O. Am a bit helpless, the Has anyone ever had similar problems ?

Fleet discounts, what are the costs?
Hello forum, my dealer has informed me today that all fleet discounts negotiated nationwide by large companies are completely charged at the cost of the car dealership. For this reason no further discounts, or “good deeds” are possible. With the previous shops (leasing, or purchase) at car dealerships of other brands in my region, the statements of the acquisition of 40-75% of the fleet discount costs by the manufacturer deviated (VW, Toyota, Mazda and Ford). This is because some time ago my Volvo dealer and the same seller were promised a day’s registration, in addition to the fleet conditions. However, it was two different models, V60 and XC60. My “I’m getting advantaged” radar hit massively. Now I’m looking forward to the statements of the experts who are familiar with the matter. The seller has also pushed a bit more intrusively to the contract signature, I’m a little surprised about the procedure.
