Hello, I have a question about my Volvo V70 2.4D Momentum MY05. When I hit the steering wheel during parking or similar maneuvers, I always hear loud grinding noises. On request with my friend, I learned that this is a design error of Volvo that comes more intensely to light with increasing tyre width. Now I have only mounted the 215 tyres with the LM rims Ursa and the noise is quite loud. Have you had similar experiences or am I just an individual case?!? Thank you already in advance for your answers Christoph

XC90 turning circle annoys
Hello! I’ve had an XC90 D5 for 2 weeks – all great – only the bigger turning circle compared to my previous car bugs me pretty much. With my last car I could always drive in the garage directly into the parking lot – now always have to push back. Since I usually drive from garage to garage it is annoying slowly. Is there any way to increase the steering impact?

HEICO 20″ rims XC90
As already reported, I ordered Torra-20″(looking exact like the Volvo 20″,it looked hugely looking forward to it,extra Volvo lenses tracked down-then on Saturday the giant disappointment-the tires (275/40 20) stood out sideways-the car looked like a prollige monster car.On Monday at 8 am I went to the tyre dealer and had the winter tires 18″ again. On the same day I made an appointment for Wednesday at Heico, now Heico 20″ (264/45 20)-must say, just great. Add hormnically, super design, noble, not too bully, they just fit perfectly. What does that tell me-it was the first and certainly the last time that I bought aluminium rims apart from the v. manufacturers and/or professionals of the jew. car brand like Heico,AMG, schnitzer etc.

My big guy is definitely there!
On Friday he arrived safely at the dealer. Currently the Chirp module is still installed etc. Therefore also the bonnet and the right headlights are missing (see photo). My Kenzeichenhalter (chrom with company advertisement) is already installed and the Inscription mats and the summer tires on Atlantis are already in the trunk (acc. to seller). Thus the winter tires Dunlop M2 are already mounted. Unfortunately, the picture quality is not very good due to the photograph through the gate. However, you can see everything, because I took it today – on the day -. The workshop is unfortunately closed on Saturday. My (in sales) I could nevertheless “sady”. At the latest in the middle of the week I can pick it up. *joy* So with a few pictures. The next follow on the day of the delivery!

So beautiful: He’s there – and how to get in now?
Since yesterday he is in my hands and he is so beautiful (XC90 D5 switch, summum, SD, Servotzronic, Parkpilot, schwarz-metallic). The handover with the friendly one was very successful. With champagne, flowers for the woman and very nice instruction. Volvo has scored right here. First impression after a short part of the country: everything very noble and well processed (as far as I see it so far), so far nothing rattles. It is a truely very sublime driving feeling, the new engine drives splendidly, more power I do not need and I make switching in the Volvo really fun. I am also very happy, but the summum variant to have taken (Xenono was already helpful in the evening over land); if the seat by radio remote control automatically sets itself before getting on the personal needs, that is also very pleasant; the rims (even the 18er Atlantins on WR) are very nice to the car. Especially enthusiastic we are from the sliding roof, it makes the car much more friendly inside. More impressions, because I have a question to ride with me Unfortunately, the best friend?

Multi-kilometres for leasing vehicle
Hello, the lease of my V 70 D 5, BJ 2002, expires at the beginning of 2006. Agreed were 180,000 km, until then I will have about 10,000 km more on the clock. The multi-kilometres are to be calculated according to the contract with approx. 2.2 Ct/km. According to the seller, Volvo generally admits a kulanz of 2,500 km. Currently I am in negotiation with the Frdl. over an XC 70 as successor. Another 2500 km the seller gives me, if I decide again for Volvo. The current state of the price negotiations lies with a discount on the list price of approx. 13%. Now my question to the connoisseurs of matter: Is this a good offer? If yes, even if I still have to pay approx. 700,– € because of the multi-kilometre of the departing wagon? Thank you for your information! beemer

uiuiui S60 D5 ….
🙂 I HAB HIM…. this afternoon with the sound of the sun I got the S60D5 at the baldegger in st.gallen (= heico in .ch) super thing so far…. now go play with the “secret” radiocodes right now 😉 Greetz .Ralph ps: and already found a fault 🙁 at certain speeds (especially if you go off the gas and the speed goes down) it dries very strongly in the roof sky due to the vibrations of the motor, quite exactly, slightly at the back right of my head, so quite in the middle of the sky -> everything clear 😉 ?!?

Snow-stuck-scarp – nothing works anymore
So – after plenty of snow and in preparation for the 2006 all-wheel drive Vergelich I drove the moose scare into the deep snow and thus to its limit ….. And then it was time : snow-stuck-eMkay – the limits of the moose scare and the Torsen-C middle diff ……

Consumption 2.4D and D5 with DPF in comparison to the old D5
Hello, I don’t want to encourage a stupid “what consumes mine and yours” discussion. I’m only interested in experiences, how the consumption of the older 163hp generation to the new 163 and 185hp with DPF is assessed, the same way of driving. The revised engine is generally described as smoother and with the 400NM in the 185hp version significantly stronger. Also the new automatic seems to be better. Background, I’m already interested in the new S80 with diesel engine (preferably as D6 *g*). My personal and annoying assessment is that the DPF engines are always thirstier than the same without DPF. Experience values would please me. Thank you already in advance. many greetings Roger

New XC90 ordered!
Hi to everyone! So, now I have done it… After I found so many positive impressions about the new D5 here in the forum and my friend me after tough negotiations, then still 15% discount as well as a very fair offer for my first big guy, I couldn’t help but… Ordered I: XC90 D5 (136kw) 185 PS diesel-particle filter 5-seater summum automatic gearbox 6-Gang Geartronic roof rail parking aid back speedabh. Power steering sapphireblackmetallic leather Anthrazit RTI navigation system side window doors made of composite glass Subwoofer drop engine designation delivery date: December 05. So hopefully it lies in time under the fir tree. Have also been like picture chief (I trust here quite his good feel for quality) for the Panther C5 of 3M as tinning foil for the rear and/or rear side windows decided to ride it again. Price incl. assembly: 300 Euronen. I’m very excited about how the Elch with the new engine and the self-grilling machine does not give me a good look at the automatic transmission.
