What do you think of a 6 cylinder diesel engine for the models V70, S80 and of course for the XC 90. All other suppliers in the price segment also upgrade up and after a test drive in the XC 90 D5 you know that the machine is actually overwhelmed. My friend advises right away to install the Heico chip. On television I heard the other day that Volvo wants to bring a stronger D5 (all the same that Heico does). But I mean such a D6 (as Beis piel for a name) would have style. From me also the 2.7 Bi Turbo from the Jaguar (is the same family and comes anyway from Peugeot, only got a second Turbo). But definitely something with a little more steam to get more comfort with a brisk highway ride. What about your opinion? Unfortunately, the Americans don’t drive a diesel, otherwise there would probably be an 8 cylinder diesel!? Greet Sven

New family car is coming up!
We need a new family carriage. Our Ford Windstar is now almost 12 years old (without major infirmities!!!) and we are of course a bit spoiled by the space available. Our family is however two split. The dad would like to have a Q7 – due to its appearance and of course AUDI (but probably not included because of €) and the mom is now on the track to the XC90 (Only used ones). Is the XC 90 really as comfortable as it looks at first glance? The Q7 seems to me to be a bit more economical from the space offer. Would I look forward to answers. Also what we should pay attention to when buying.

man I embarrassed myself !!!
The other day, I was sitting in the back of our bloke and there I was disturbed by an extreme clapping from the back of the belt winding. so I called the friendly one and made an appointment to unscutter. yesterday the friendly mechanic put in the back and turned a test round. I never heard that from the back. shortly after that comes a hand from the back and see, the one stone in the rearmost drink holder got out. ooooh how embarrassing !!!!!! now I had the assembled team 4, 11 and 13 years to compete and what should I tell you, nobody was it.

UIUII – Civic Type R of 07
Hi, was just on an open track behind a Civic Type R. The new, look taste question, but the engine apparently not. I have since LANGEM once again turned down at 140 to stay at it… Hat off! Well from 200 I have to go a little bit of the gas to not drive too close, then the power is missing. BUT: Respect! I would be interested in a direct comparison to the C30 T5! tom

Volvos hurt in their honor?
But what if these moose really show feelings? The reason for my assumption is that I read more and more of Volvos, who have far over 100,000km behind them and continue to do their job without any problems. Problems are always read only by the “heretics”, who want to repel their cars after a few months and kilometers again!?!? Do the “Elche” feel in their honor ve Do I give my “elch” too little attention? Do I ask him too little? Does he realize that he will have to leave me soon? Greetings Martin

XC90 gets competition in front passenger seat adjustment
Finally the XC90 gets competition, at least with regard to the flattening of the passenger seat. the Chevy Captiva can also (and the almost identical Opel Antara certainly also). So long Christmas trees without the bended tip are thus no problem for the 7-seat Captiva, so far only the XC90 could. By the way Captiva: You don’t have to find it beautiful, but it is practical and variable and the used materials and quality impressions are better than I would have thought. For around 35,000,- Euro you get fully equipped a 4.65 meter long car and in the third row of seats (small) people are also not worse than in the Q7. I’m curious how Opel wants to make the only 5-seater Antara successful against the 7-seater Captiva, especially since the Antara costs at least 2,000 euros more than the Captiva. Un in most dealer showrooms both stand side by side. So for someone who wants to have a lot of SUV and only wants to/can spend a maximum of 35,000,- is d he Captiva with 150 hp diesel certainly an alternative. rolo

Low-priced tyres
Hello, I would now have to have 4 new summer tyres and think about buying the Nankang NS2, or the Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta in size 235/35 ZR 19. Has anyone already had experience with the “Billigrafen”? The price differences are GEWALTIG compared to Michelin, Dunlop or Continental. Had so far always Contis and Dunlop on it, but was not so enthusiastic.. Had had read somewhere also that falcons is especially recommended for Volvo.. a falcon seen on a Volvo. Drive a V70 D5. BJ. 2006 Thank you for your opinions. PS: and please don’t bring the sayings like: “If you can’t afford reasonable tires, then don’t drive a Volvo!”

Where is the realistic selling price for the S60?
Hello together, as you probably have already read, I am currently considering a V70 due to a relatively good offer, with the sale of my Volvo S60. Now, of course, I’m wondering where the realistic selling price is. And realistically, I also think it’s acceptable for both sides at the same time! I could have tried the usual car exchanges but because of the low running reading I don’t have any comparison options there. The following car is for sale: Volvo S60 2.4 with 170 hp as automatic version First addition: 11/2001 Color: satin-silver metallic Condition: very well maintained condition, vehicle is continuously checked, last inspection in 01/12, accident-free TÜV: until 01/2014, last TÜV report “WITHING MÄNGEL” Kilometer level: approx.51.000 km Equipment: – Audio package HU-603 – automatic transmission, adaptive – on-board computer – parking aid rear – wood decor equipment (part of the design package) – air conditioning – metallic paint – leather handbr emslebel (part of the design package) – Leather steering wheel (part of the design package) – Leather selector lever (part of the design package) – Light alloy rims “Lysithea” – Multifunction for steering wheel – Fog headlights – RTI DVD navigation system – Part leather seats with sports seats (part of the design package) The car has a total of 8x tyres, whereby the winter tires have only been renewed in February this year. So, now I would like to have an approximate price indication from you for such a car. LG from North Rhine-Westphalia

V70 D5 tensioner defective at 104′
Hello all, yesterday at my V70 D5 (AWD Bj 2006 km 104′ the tensioning roller broke, almost paced, the engine went out immediately. The car is now in the workshop, a first compression measurement was ok except for a cylinder (#4) with 20% less. Tomorrow a new timing belt is put on and tested again. Who has experience with this? Can I trust the engine, should it run again? What about the water pump, should I change it precautionly? Thank you for feedback!

Volvo S60 T5 – Question
Hi you moose driver My name is Tom, I am 32 years old and new at Motortalk. At the moment I drive an Audi A4 (I hope you can read the data in the signature), but I am looking for something faster.Shortly to my driving profile: I am a relaxed driver, my way to work are daily about 30km expressway, my travel speed on the BAB are quiet 150, from the age of the traffic light sprint GTI fraction I am out, I just want a car that on my long highway rten (I travel through Germany a few times a month because of work, but fuel costs are irrelevant) offers a few more reserves than my Audi. I came across the BMW 330i E46, of course, also A4 3.0i meets the criteria, but somehow the Volvo S60 T5 appeals to me. I always liked Volvo, which radiate calm and serenity, and 250hp Turbo-PS are also very nice. Since the main reason for the change are as said more reserves, I am primarily interested in d It’s driving performance. (I’ve been fully informed about the reliability and weaknesses) On YouTube you’ll find many acceleration videos of the S60 T5 and it’s pretty fast for everyone, one of them is here:http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=sCVFmvjluR4 I’m surprised that it’s so fast from 100kmh on, it won’t really slow down in the next 20kmh sections up to 200kmh, which makes the suspicion of a dynamometer video come up. Is the S60 T5 with 250hp really so fast? Thank you and good ride! Tom is very similar in the video and the flasher is set in the video (no one will blink on the test bench to simulate a freeway ride).
