A new problem with my XC90. For 2 days the Geartronic has been switching from the 2nd to the 3rd gears with a slight blow. The whole thing is also understandable with the manual switching lane. When driving in the city traffic it is also noticeable that if you walk off the gas and let the car roll, it takes a while until it is switched on and then again with a noticeable jerk. Before I drive again, maybe someone can help me here earlier already. n. Hope not that a gearbox damage in the GT is announced, because then this would be the definitely most expensive Volvo I’ve ever driven (repairable) Gruss Stephan

Volvo V70 or VW Passat
Hello community, I’m facing a small problem. I have to have a new car. My budget is 10,000 EUR I’ve now looked at some Passat and Volvo V70. I tend to V70 myself, therefore this forum too. The Passat is solid and more favorable in insurance than the V70. The V70 has the larger trunk. I also heard a lot negative about the somewhat newer models of Volvo. Now I have an appointment for a visit to a V70 vo tomorrow. n 2006, 2.4 L at 140 hp Time is pressing because my Madza is standing in the garage and every start becomes a surprise. The air-conditioning compressor is defective, clamps and blocks the engine. If it goes on then it sounds like a bucket of screws, because the magnetic coupling is also broken and how crazyly scrapes. 1. What would you advise me to do? 2. What is the reliability of this V70 model? It seems a bit strange to me that a 2.4 machine has only 140 hp. 3. What should I pay attention to at the K on a V70? What are the problems? 4. I don’t know if I can drive on the highway tomorrow. Does the car pull properly? Hope for your early answers. Thank you, Jens.

S60 T5 ABS ECU Exchange
Moin-Moin, I have recently been driving an S60 T5, BJ 2001. Sporadically he showed me an ABS error after starting, so I decided to expand the ABS control unit (which was relatively easy), open it (which was the worst) and solder the pins. I was not so satisfied with the final result, on the one hand optically and on the other hand also technical, because the error was thrown again. In the bay I have then cheaply a ”functional” device with the same part number g The battery-clamping procedure has been adhered to (5min.). Now I have a ”DSTC-maintenance required” error in the BC. After extensive research I could unfortunately not find a 100% answer to the following question: If an ABS-control unit is replaced and a foreign but suitable device is installed, does this have to be learned or registered at :-)? ABS works with the new unit without problems. (Let’s assume from this, since ss the Stg. works and was deregistered to the old Fzg.) I would be very happy about answers and wish you a happy new year! Greetings, Andre

V70 D5 2.4 when starting the engine ‘Motor maintenance urgently needed’ Volvo disease?
Hello, for some time now, I have received from my Volvo V70 D5 2,4 (Type 2) the message that (allegedly) an engine maintenance is urgently required, but after 1-2 km this message disappears. Is this a Volvo disease or should one take this problem more seriously? I am grateful for any helpful answer

Purchase advice S60 D5
Hello, I’m just busy with whether a 2002 S60 D5 could become a suitable car. So far, only vehicles from the other Swedish car manufacturer are in the garage π I need a diesel. Since I don’t want an Opel engine and no German manufacturer would be a Volvo actually the logical consequence. Except for a V70 of the first generation with the 2.5TDI I don’t know the diesel at all at Volvo. Is the D5 an engine that you can also use with higher running speed The 2.5TDI is now driven by a relative with 320tkm without any problems and my Saab also have all the running power beyond the 250tkm, all without problems. What do you have to pay attention to with the S60 in general and the D5 in particular? Are there any extraordinary repairs or constructions? For example for the clutch change the engine has to go out and similar things? Thanks in advance

Stand-alone heating XC 90 D5
SalΓΌ mitenand, have also been a moose driver for almost half a year, new in the MOTOR-TALK and have convinced my “government” now of a SH. Have heard of NL about the favorable unlocking of it. Unfortunately I find no references to names of “friends” in Holland, which offer the unlocking cheaply. Maybe you can put me on the current level, also like something like that (email or telephone or…). Would drive with at least 3 “Elchen” and therefore have large Inte resse. Thank you very much!!!

Decision-making
Hello Elkgemeinde, with me the purchase of a V70 is at the door. There are many good offers and thus the decision is difficult. In the narrow selection are: 1. V70 2.4 gasoline, 170 hp, automatic, EZ 2006 with 89,000 km 2. V70 D5 DPF, 2.4 diesel,185 hp, 6 gear normal transmission, EZ 2006 with 67,000 km What is the better grip from your practice? Are 89,000 km for a gasoline much? Thank you for your support Greeting macgeorge

V70 D5, 2003 with DPF but accident car! Is the price correct?
Hello, I saw this V 70 D5 near me. Is probably also a Volvo dealer. At least he deals a lot with Volvo and sold it to the former owners as a young used car. This older couple has just bought a new one there and paid for it. Had set me a limit of 10000 euros if the car has the green badge. Max. 9000 if he does not have it and I have to upgrade it. Facelift would be of course best ( 2.4 D or D5 ) This h ier had an accident damage in 2007, which was repaired also in this car house. Bumper changed, headlights changed, left fenders and wheelhouse and heaters as well as shock absorbers left. Airbags and so on were too. Only sheet metal parts changed. The dealer does not want to make a timing belt change, since he would still have almost 20,000 km …. π . Is the price not in spite of DPF 1000 Euros too high!!? ? I also have no cock 200 km for a car to drive, but , let’s say after de m Still negotiating 9500 euros?? Too happy, isn’t it? Is an automatic. Is it wrong in the ad! Here it is: http://suchen.mobile.de/…/printView.html?…

Remote control range
Hello together Have received two remote controls for my moose. Unfortunately, the range is very low with 5m. Rather less…. Have the batteries changed with both, but nothing changed. At the SuFU I found a post in which someone of 40m speaks. Can you increase the range i-how?? Or increase the reception sensitivity at/in the car?? Since the moose is on an almost unlit parking lot with 30 or more cars, it would be useful if the range is raised I’m grateful for tips… Greetings Meik

S60 Telephone & ISO Radio
hi people, first of all say hello to you from the deep snowy south of Austria. I’ve been on the road here for a long time (more vw and audio) but after a change I’ve become reasonable and have been driving an elch since last week. after I’ve been reading my question here for some time now. S60 2,4 Aut. HU-6Something car radio with phone after the phone has a speaker in the snack support anyway and the microphone somewhere in the rear mirror I need yes t only the “attention” switch to an ISO radio (alpine cda-9835) and then this would have to work with the phone. my expectation is that this works with the volvo ISO adapter cable anyway by itself. BUT: I find unfortunately no mounting panel that leaves the phone part untouched and only makes the radio part of the blind ISO suitable. does any of you perhaps have a link where I get such a part? so again briefly: I need a radio mounting panel for standard retrofitting radios that leave the phone part untouched. ebay, google and Dietz has spat out nothing reasonable for me so far. thank you and ciao, mic
