Hello everyone, strange things have happened in the last days. Here is a short report: The driving light is always on, it is turned off with the engine switched off. Sometimes it happens that when the light switch gets off inadvertently in position “Standlicht”, as I do not know myself – maybe with the jacket from the passenger seat maybe… anyway, it has happened several times. So it must have been also last Monday. The car was then 2 days, Mittwoc h the battery was empty, the light switch was in position “position light”. The start aid helped. I don’t know whether the left front floor light had already burned out before or whether this happened in the 2 days. Anyway, it was defective. But the other position lights burned all the more stubbornly after the charging drive. They couldn’t be switched off anymore! Since it was too late to find the :-), I pulled the fuses 30 and 31 and I was only the next day. to the workshop. Diagnosis after more than one hour: switch in order, cable in order, relay in order: the CEM is the culprit. Cost: approx.1030,- + 150,- Assembly + 50,- Software (whether bretto or nutto I didn’t even ask at all). Big frustration! The 🙂 has at my request renewed the defective standlight, I said goodbye to the fact that I have to sleep over there first, possibly also want to contact Volvo directly, and to look for other advice, e.g. here in the forum. 🙂 reported that now everything is running out and that the CEM will soon cross the big water. Turn off the car at home, the tears dried, the standing light, since the defective lamp was replaced, now burning all around, still not turn off. 1.5 hours later, the fuses I had not pulled, while driving the light switch, an understandable click: the relay had pulled, the stand light was off and everything was off. V70 pulls to the right when accelerating
Hello dear Volvo experienced, unfortunately I have a problem again on my car. After the partial revision of the front axle (spring plate above, dome bearing, shock absorber, right carrying joint, lateral handlebars in front were renewed in original half a year ago) the moose pulls to the right when accelerating. Also the straight run is unusually bad. The tires, which were also newly mounted in the frame of the revision (Conti Premium Contact 5), run off on the outer edges after only 4kkm. otokoll is inconspicuous, all values are in the tolerance range. Measurement was done at the local Volvo dealer. A second visit there because of my complaint “pull to the right” did not result in anything new. They measured the car again but nothing adjusted, because everything was in the tolerance range. Then I complained again and left the car there one day with the result / statement workshop master: Probably carrying joints Then I said (as already several times s before), that all parts are new and after the assembly of the transverse handlebars, which were mounted about half a year before, he has also driven straight ahead. – so it can not be because. Suggestion Volvo dealer: if enough money is available, exchange all parts one after the other. Ergung Unwirtschaftlichkeit (Bj. 2002) this is of course not possible. Now I have ordered again 2 new support joints, because at the revision only one has been renewed. Inaccurate speedometer Volvo V70 2,4i
My problem is this: The speedometer of my Volvo V70 2.4i (170hp), matured with 195/65 R15 on original aluminums from Volvo, is not exactly accurate. Example: If the speedometer shows exactly 130km/h, I actually only drive 117km/h (measured with GPS!), which, I think, is a very big difference. For comparison: With my Corsa C 1.0, the speedometer deviation is 140km/h a uf the tacho not even 5km/h! Since I bought the car used, I don’t know what kind of wheels were mounted before. Therefore my final question: What can be done and what would a “repair” cost? I have already read in the other articles that it is probably an electronic problem. S80 – 18 or 19″ alus?
ho since I had to find that in one of my summer bikes (see pictures > here <) a nail plug and this completely goes through the mature and is not flickable loud workshop (because too fast and tire is anyway down to 2en and shit - P6000...) I want to buy new alus now my question is now what does better on nem s80 WITHOUT sport suspension or deeper laying 18" or 19" rims? since actually no "high-legged" elch wanted to have by the new alus.... the new alus... rims should be Tomason TN4 and either in the dimensions 8.5x18 or 8.5x19 pneus I would like to raise in 235/35 or 245/35 - but don't know exactly what the max is so that it doesn't grind... my questions will be taken together again: 1. 18" or 19" what is better or not too "high-legged" with standart suspension on the s80? 2. which width of the tire is possible without any sign-widening or changes to the wheel box?

Short-term failure instrument cluster
Hello Forum I drive an XC 90 D5. Can someone help me, with almost every ride I now have after a short time total power failure (break of a second) in the instrument cluster. Pointers go to “0” clock, Km counter incl. T1/T2, Temp. display disappear and come back immediately. Also the daily kilometer counter as well as the odometer during the disturbance always goes back to the last stored km. I was already in the workshop and have to load a software update The workshop also solves, but maybe someone already had this problem and could give me some advice. Gruss Claude

Cousin wants to buy volvo S 60 2.4l turbo gasoline or D5
As mentioned in the title, my cousin is looking for an S 60 2.4l turbo petrol or a D5. I don’t know so well about the S 60. Brake discs (alternatives?), change + life V70 II?
Next week I get my 2.5T (BJ07) with approx. 55000km. Brake technology everything seems so far ok. From when can be expected with an exchange front and rear? I have 17″ rims with 225er on it (original). Sometimes there are parts from the Zubrhörer which cost a little more but technically bring an improvement. Does someone already have experience with the V70II with e.g. other brake discs and coverings? I mean naturally which one can understand as normalo and often such modifications are rather a burden for the account without any real added value.
