moin, moin, as I had already occasionally written, I had last received a new charge air cooler at my s80 d5. add a short history. 1) I drive too friendly to the 140,000 inspection and tell him that the car when giving gas extremely smokes, as well as if you drive fast. after the inspection rust of the car still. 2) on the first drive after the inspection I stay with bursting turbo hose. according to the friendly in Göttingen, where my car hung This bit was the reason for the clouds of smoke. it was supposed to be an ascending hose from below. 3) a short time later was my loading air cooler in the eimer and had to be exchanged. so now I come to the question to the experts. can this said hose have been a connection to the charging air cooler? can the bursting of the hose have led to the defective in the charging air cooler? then there would be the question whether the friendly the makerbi ss should have found if you already tell him that the car is fogging? greetings sven

Why is Volvo so expensive in Germany?
Moin, actually I had already become accustomed to the price level of the German Volvo dealers. But after I had been disconnected for a standard service (50tkm) with my S60 D5 last month actually 637€, it was enough for me. Since I made a nice holiday with my family last week in Sweden, I thought about asking at one in Strömstad what the repair of the GSM phone costs in my XC 90. Here in Hamburg I got an offer of approx. 800 € for a new phone module was made. I was told that a complete telephone set had to be ordered, of which I only have to pay the required part. In Sweden the change of the phone module costs 3386 SEK which corresponds to 366€! On the subject of service I got for my XC 90 2.5 T GT year 2007 with 80 tkm an offer of 3507 SEK = 379€. But even one litre of motor oil with 200 SEK = 21.6€, which is as well as we all know is not a special offer. Volvo Germany off? Why do the so-called usury prices?? Well, with my S 60 I could certainly have pushed a little bit on the price screw in advance, but that would not have been so different. And 27€ for one litre of oil I think is exaggerated. I will be back in Sweden for Christmas and have already made an appointment. Here in Germany the en my cars will only see in exceptional cases. Would really be interesting your opinions on the topic to read. Greetings

Help! Wheel change S60 – Clamp rear wheels
Hello together, I wanted to mount the winter bikes on my S60 today, at the front it worked without any problems but the rear wheels sit bomb-proof, wheel bolts are off, no problem, but the wheel itself does not give in a millimeter, has already sprayed rust solvers in, but so far no effect, on both rear wheels. Is there perhaps a trick 17? Cann’t it be that it only hangs on the rear wheels??? Many thanks and greetings, thunderbolt

Start problems V70D5
Hello here is my first post in this great forum. short introduction: I am since Nov.2002 proud owner of a V70 D5 manual transmission (yes — already another ?!) EZ 04/02 leather, royal blue, combi luxury package,… (previously 850Kombi 140PS – also satisfied). Unfortunately, the following problem arises with me for a short time. At the cold start I have to “gurgle” the engine about 5sec until it starts. The outside temp. plays a smaller role. Also with or without preglosses sets no difference. Maybe someone already had a similar problem? I only checked the fuses so far and could not detect a defect. My dealer wants to read out the error memory today, but I think that doesn’t do anything yet. Thanks for every answer.!

one more tire question
Hi, the change on winter tires is on. I will need new summer tires for summer 2011. Now there is a lot of information about tires, but sometimes very old. ADAC tested (03.10) and in my size 225x45x17 (S60, D5, BJ2007) there is the following recommendation – Bridgestone Potenza RE050A, ContiSportContact 3, Dunlop SP SportMAXX TT, Michelin PilotSport PS3 and Pirelli Cinturato P7 (all especially recommended). I have read a lot of bad things about Conti. Dunlop convinces So stay Bridgestone or Michelin – I didn’t find any reviews about Pirelli. Has anyone had any experience with it? Is it recommended? According to the test, it should be particularly good for wear, comfort and fuel consumption – can anyone confirm that? Another question – do you buy summer tyres for 2011 now (offers) or rather at the beginning of the season? Thanks for the answers Jaro

Tyre damage at 150 km/h on the motorway
Recently on the highway I had a tire damage at 150 km/h. First a slight vibration, we thought it was the road, then it was fast to the thing and it was quite unbalanced and a hit to feel…. As fast as I went I drove to the right. It smoked and smelled terrible. Tyre damage to the right back. Dunlop 235er , 18″ about 25000 km at the hump, only 2 weeks ago I had my Pickerl inspection in Austria….in D that would be the TÜV (everything ok!). , it was external circumstances, nail or something like that. God’s thanks nothing grosser happened. However, it’s reassuring to sit in a Volvo when something happens.

Afterblow
Hello everyone, ElchWiki says the following about Afterblow: Quotation: The function Afterblow (also dry blowers) serves to dry the air conditioning or the air conditioning automatic. In Volvos the P2x platform is switched on about 50 minutes after the car is switched off. This then runs after about 7 minutes. Drying of the plant is necessary to prevent mold formation and the growth of bacteria, which in the damp environment of the air filter and the hoses sun The air conditioning system not only cools the air blown into the interior but also dries the resulting condensation water must therefore be “blown away” after the system has stopped. During operation, the condensation water normally drips onto the road. The whole operation only works at an outside temperature of over 24 degrees, with a battery voltage of more than 19.7 volts and only every 20 hours. areupdate already recorded ex works, with others it can be played on guarantee and with some it is only by software update (approx.15 EUR). It should be noted that following software updates can put the function back out again. So it is recommended to ask after each visit to the elk doctor whether the function is still activated. The function is available from model year 1998. Quote end. Can someone tell me where the 19.7 volt battery voltage comes from ?!?!? Have i ch a board in front of the head or is the number wrong? Thanks Martin

Swedish for beginners and problems on the highway
Hello dear people, since yesterday have a V70 of 9/2006 136 KW. , 90tkm and 1 year used car warranty. The car is an import from Sweden and thus the instruction in Swedish and all messages of the onboard computer. Now the following problems arise: Lt documents was the last maintenance before 1500 km, nevertheless it shows in connection with a yellow triangle a message, which sounds to me very much motor and maintenance (“motorsystem serv. erfordras”. Another error message kö In addition, I would like to know what else it says. 1. Can you change all this in German or English? 2. Where do I get a German manual? 3. I drove the first longer route today. On the highway at 190 km/h (t Tacho and a little over 3000 rpm) he had a kind of push-off. That means he accelerates relatively normal up to about 190, then nothing works anymore (feels like a kind of brake parachute) , it goes then down to about 160 and after a few seconds you can accelerate again and the game starts again from the front. I’m curious about your answers Thank you

HELP!!! – Where do the sudden steering noises come from ???
Hello Elkgemeinde, I’m just back from a shopping tour, and when parking suddenly this funny noise occurs.I want to describe it like this:”easy fast bright crackling noises” (while steering in the stand, as well as during pre- and reset) This occurs even with a light and fast changing, as well as with full steering movement. It is however not the known cracking of the drive shafts!!! (This has been fixed already a long time ago) It is externally not to e no game on the wheels – no servo oil loss – etc. The S80 has just 75 tkm on the clock. Some things have been fixed. But what could that be again? Maybe:- Steering gearbox ?- Servo pump ? I’m not sure about that, because it can’t be located on the road exactly.Of course, this is also happening again when it’s Friday, 6:00 p.m., so that you don’t have a chance for a reasonable diagnosis from the dealer. And the best thing – my dealer has his workshop occupied again on Monday. Did anyone of you have an idea, or a similar known problem?I would be more reassuring if now would not necessarily follow bad answers. But still thank you for any information or assistance.
