Hello everyone in my XC90 have the high-performec system with separate subwoofer. At the time of the consultation my friend explained to me that the premium is not lone, since there is almost no CD which are recorded for this mode. After I recently made a test drive with a V70R, I fell out of all clouds. The sound experience with premium is significantly better. Can I now upgrade the premium? Thanks for your help Stephan PS sometimes have the feeling that the sub even If you turn it off, only small differences are audible. Can you trim it in a submenu?

Change the steering wheel – make it yourself?
Hello, my original 08/15 standard steering wheel is not so nice anymore. Would you like to have a nice one for the beautiful one. Can you change the steering wheel yourself? Isn’t the airbag without it? Would a four spokes exchange for a four spokes, the exchange for a three spokes probably requires the exchange of the airbag!? And, what can such a steering wheel cost? Where can you get it reasonably? Too bad that the leather steering wheels did not exist as standard, is a real flaw at my 2002er Greetings Roemi

When timing belt change – Service booklet vs. Volvo-EDV
Our S60 2.5T (model year 2004) is seven years old, has run 120,000 km and was always scheduled for inspection at Volvo. When I wanted to register the car for inspection, I was completely surprised when the computer of the contract workshop spit out the 140,000 km inspection plan including timing belt changes. We bought the car again at that time, and the original service booklet, which we received with the vehicle, expressly sees the timing belt change only at 160,000 km or every tenth year. I do not intend to change the timing belt already 40,000 km, or three years earlier than indicated in the service booklet without a plausible explanation. This is our third Volvo and we have not yet experienced such a thing at any brand. The dealer is apparently himself “victim” of his computer and could not explain it either. Does anyone here in the forum perhaps have an explanation as to how these inconsistencies can occur?

XC 90 test driven:-(
Only the 2.5 lt. Diesel drives sooo sluggishly that it is red again at the traffic light until you could drive away and the automatic transmission from our tractor is smoother. Too bad. Now we will drive as soon as possible the petroler times. The new 2.5 Diesel has a few HP more under the hood, however, it will not be a new car with us. What are your experiences? Also in other concerns with the XC 90?Od. can someone give me something about the Be nzin consumption?

Purchase advice Volvo XC90 2.5T AWD Executive BJ 2005
Hello together I have the opportunity to purchase a Volvo XC90 2.5T AWD Ececutive BJ 2005. After a long search I found out that it is the model “Executive”, the so-called luxury version. It is the version with 7 seats. Features: Type 275 chassis 0208215 MY 2005 License plate CH Variant 2755967271 Speedometer K VIN YV1CZ595751208215 Fyon 251689584 Factory 21 Options Designation 000009 POWER SEATS,DRIVER/PASS 000142 R TI 000166 FIRST-AID KIT 000171 SPEEED SENSITIVE POWER ST 000236 LAMINATED SIDEWINDOWS 000241 Integrated telephone 000522 MAP FOR RTI,EUROPE 000595 WATER REPELLENT GLASS 000671 Dayrunning lights 900373 INSTR.BOOK FOR SWITZERL/G 998312 Executive main option 998353 RSE: DVD player, AUX, two What are the maintenance costs for this car? And what about the many luxury accessories, such as DVD device, Dolby Surround system, Navi, Xenon? I was going over the Jordan. I actually wanted a car with normal headlights and without these gimmicks in it (know it from Touareg, there was a lot of broken and I don’t want to do that anymore). I would be very happy about your answers.

Unsuccessful fault diagnosis calculation
Hello, we had in December, right after the inspection a permanent beep from the rear parking sensors. This occurred last year also directly after the inspection. The workshop searched for about half an hour with the finding that any of the 4 parking sensors is defective, but can not be said which one is. At the same time, we were recommended to exchange all 4 sensors, this would cost 500,00 €. Furthermore, we were informed that the closed VolvoPro connectionga After 2 days, the duration of the peeping did not occur after the reverse turn and the parking sensors function again as they should. Today, the awakening came: We were asked to charge about 67€ gross for the fault diagnosis, herein are 16 € net for the reading of the error memory included. As mentioned above, the whole process took less than half an hour and the defective sensor was not found. Do you have to accept such a thing?

HU-850 + iPhone4 ???
Hello together I drive a Volvo V70 D5 AWD MJ 2006. Is it possible to connect the iPhone 4 to the vehicle in any way (aux, USB, etc.) or are retrofit solutions available? As a radio the HU-850 is built up with 6x CD changer, navigation device RTI and telephone-free intercom (with SIM, not Bluetooth). If I will replace the radio for a double-din radio, which will probably be the easiest solution, Naviagtion RTI and phone still work? Thank you for your information.

Volt number with charged battery?
Hello, short question to the experts: Since after short distance operation on my Voyager 1 week ago once again made the battery sluggish, I have just installed a digital votmeter. Now my question would be, from which volt number I come without consumers in the area, where a charging would soon be installed again? Unfortunately also the stationary heating does not switch off in critical condition, so that the car is warm early, but no longer starts! 2 Question: How is this with the XC 90, is the T echnik there so far that he does not turn on or off consumers like pre-heater in case of weak battery? Is there a message in the display? Thank you for your help in advance. Torsten

Yesterday in the workshop!!!!
Hello people! First of all thanks to all who deal with my problem or much more with the problem “VOLVO S60 ABS control unit”! In itself such a part (hydraulic block+control unit+motor) is not repaired, but only replaced, because it is supposedly a safety-relevant part! But now it is so that there are companies that accept this problem and check such ECUs. In my specific case (I reported a long time ago) The expert in the workshop then said it would be due to the carbon brushes that are in this engine (which is sitting on the hydraulic unit). Only again he started to screw this engine off from the hydraulic unit yesterday, and when it was removed, he said. ” Well, the carbon brushes don’t look bad and the collector seems to be fine too. The next step looks like this, that he cleans the part with compressed air, reassembles it, sprays the plugs with contact spray. “You’ll see, now it works” means then the mechanic!!! “Why should it work now” I ask on it “nothing has been repaired!!” “Now don’t be so pessimistic” his answer to it. Well then – all assembled again – attached to the test device, all error codes deleted, and then test drive – and see, it works!!!! All this was yesterday, we come now to today!!! Departure in the morning, no problem. But after 20km display board computer “slip protection – maintenance required” and “brake assistant – maintenance required” That I now curse my car (as well as the mechanics working on this part) gets itself!! In addition, it is clear that up to now about 500 € have been plugged in and you are currently as far as at the beginning!! PS: Can it be that my car has “multiple sclerosis”? That would explain a lot, since d I want to say that it all works right now (ABS+DSTC) and it comes back to the problem described above while driving!!! A frustrated Volvo driver who only returns to this car again!!
