  • S60 brake system 15″, 16″, 16,5″ ???

    Hello, first of all: sufu didn’t bring me anything… I would like to change the front brake discs with my S60 2,4i, year 09/2005, 103 KW, automat. Now there are 3 different brake disc diameters… (287mm, 302mm, 315mm) Was just at the . Not even that can find out the correct parts on the basis of my VIN!!?? He said that the Facelift (2005) had another other brake system installed (315mm), but not at all??? I would like to have the new parts BEFORE I get the old ones out. Not least because I have the old parts out and then maybe the ones I need is not in stock… Does anyone have any idea how to find out the correct part numbers for my brake parts?     Hello Volvo-Gemeinde… after having already started and supplemented several threads here, it will be time to introduce itself.   • Lifetime diesel 2.4D/D5

    I would like to buy a new (used) Volvo at the end of the year. Because of 45 TKM/year mileage, diesel is a must. But: because of the high mileage, the car will eventually die of motor death and not because of other “diseases”. Here are my questions: a) Which of the engine variants of the 2.5 litre engine (130? 163 180 hp) would you trust the greatest mileage? Since it is always the same engine in principle, one might think that the smallest engine lasts the longest (kle inster PS/Hubraum Quotient, as used to be the 220D with 90 HP). Or are then also some parts designed weaker, which would compensate for the lower load again? Please be so nice and refer answers purely to the mileage / durability and not to the power (“130 hp is undermotorized” of the machine. b) Now BMW has quite nice 6-cylinder – e.g. the 525D. In terms of mileage there is a principle-related advantage of a 6-cylinder engine of the same cylinder capacity compared to a 5-cylinder engine? Example (caution, Laie speaks): In the 1990s, the large volume (2.5 liters) 4-cylinder diesels have always perished from burned-out cylinder head seals. If so, does this mean that the more cylinders per cylinder capacity, the less HUbraum per cylinder and the less the load of a single cylinder? c) Can I assume that the topic of “dental belts” is not an acute issue in the Volvo dies?   • Engine sound 2.4D from 3000rpm

    Good morning I noticed something recently with my S60 2,4D (126hp) Built.07 and I wanted to ask you a question about this. Normally I rarely move the car at high speed. I really like the sound of the five-cylinder, which is why I often even drive without a radio. Recently I was a little faster on the road and I noticed that when I speeded up from about 3100 rpm the engine suddenly has a significantly different sound – it comes with a light “nag”! ze always comes at the same speed and also abruptly, so not somehow running or so… I assume that it is “normal” because the car runs well and it doesn’t sound disturbing. I would only be interested if the other people with the same engine also observe or if maybe someone knows what that is? Looking forward to your opinions! Greetings, Mani

    halli hello, so, I would have a question: I am currently driving a v70 I, bj. 97, 140 HP TDI, 325000 km (purchased with 275000 2 years ago). the volvo dealer of my trust has now got a used v70 II, which he offered with. details: – first registration 07/2001 – 85000 km – 140 ps diesel (i.e. still the audio machine) – equipment: air conditioning automatic, seat heating, heated mirror, autom. glareable inside mirror, stc, tempomat, trailer coupling – 1. possession (the owner bek ommt a new v70) – 8 times matured – every service made I would have to put on my old sweden still 10,000,– euro. what do you think? strike?   • V70 AWD automatic transmission problem

    Hello guys, I am new owner of a used V70 AWD with automatic and already after about 3 TKM a problem with the automatic. It expressed itself today after longer – quiet – highway ride the first time at the traffic light as follows: – idle at approx. 800 U/M, did not have to stand on the brake despite inserted D – When starting the speed went up first and then the gear with unusual jerk – then he did the same also when “accelerate”, turned higher than normal, then mi t one ruck the next gear in – high up to 4 or 5 gear – if you give very careful gas the switching processes are a bit softer – however at significantly higher speed, the first start is and remains however quite violent Was by chance near a “friendly”, but wanted to close his workshop quite quickly. Transmission oil is probably enough in according to his statement. Does anyone know the problem ? What can I do ? The car has about 170 TKM on it and is Bj 2001. Seen a lot in the googeln – but nothing that really fits or helps. I don’t think about an exchange gearbox yet, what about gear oil change, SW update, remove fuse… ? Was actually the opinion that 300 TKM should be no problem – my age ran over 13 years without problems until an accident damaged him… Thank you in advance

    Hello @All, I just browsed via search function, but I found only entries from people with DVD RTI. I already have a hard drive RTI ( XC90 – BJ 2009 ) and since a few days after I started the car the Navi up with the note “Please insert disc”. I have already looked at home like crazy the stupid Navi DVD and find it not, yet I am plentifully irritated about the error med……my Navi has been flirting all the time without disc….can it be is that she wants to see a disc every few years……I suppose this assumption is weak……. Does anyone have an idea? I read here in the forum that someone has a cleaning guide, but can’t find it at the moment…therefore F1….Helps 😉 I would be grateful about your feedback 😉 Greetings HuiBuhV40

  • Purchase advice: S60 / S80

    Hello guys, nice that there are such forums. Need some decision-making help! I drove my Audi 80 for 5 years now (was satisfied overall, but now is time for n change) and decidedly switch to Volvo. I wanted to stay in the frame up to max. 600€. At the Internet exchanges you will find some S60/S80 with around 90 ́000-140 ́000KM 1.I still fluctuate between an S60 or an S80. -Could someone explain to me what the biggest subject is d is between the two series? Apart from some other interiors, they look very similar. Besides, I think the S80 is almost cheaper to have or at least they don’t give themselves much at the price?! At the S60 it is mainly the years 2000-2001 the offers are, so the first ones were built. Are there many childhood diseases? 2. Which engine is recommended? -I don’t need a 300hp machine, it should just pass through reasonably well. about 20 ́000KM in the year, so far I have the 2.4 with 140hp especially in my eye. Power of problems? I heard this the turbos often mucken?! Which are these exactly? What would be the next higher to recommend motorization? 3.What to watch out for? – Are there special problem zones that should be looked at more closely? Unfortunately, I am not an absolute expert, but a few things I think should always look closely at certain Auot types… Thank you already in advance and good ride! Stefan

  • Parking aid spins at the XC90

    Hello together, ‘bin’ for about 14 days VERY satisfied XC90 owner (after a small “Irrweg” via BMW525D…..): 136kW Diesel Automatik, EZ March 2006, approx.84tkm. The vehicle is so far perfect for a family of 4 as a holiday ship – rides very comfortable, has huge space (1 man & 3 women, 1 week ski holiday with full equipment no problem!), enough bangs for fast sprints and is quite economical for this size: under 10l according to BC on highway ride and full Bel adung. Small drawback, about which it has been written here already occasionally, seems to be the parking aid – have these front and rear: Since the return journey from vacation (every amount of rain) it gives in reverse alternating front and back loud and that at regular, short intervals without obstacles. Wiping the sensors with a cloth did not bring anything. During the holiday trip, the vehicle has seen temperatures from -20°C(!!) to +13°C without showing any flaws. I ch knows that this has already been written, but I have not found these symptoms with the SuFu. Who knows advice? Thanks & Greetings U

  • V70 D5 smokes after parking left front and stinks! What is that?

    Hello, my V70 D5 Automatik, 185 HP, EZ: 04/2007 has been smoking today for the first time after turning off. I only drove the diesel since spring and did not drive it in winter. Were driving with the car today at 0 degrees about 2 km, parked, and there I looked for 10 seconds clearly smoke, slightly bluish, stinking, front left and also in the wheel box from the front wheel on the driver’s side left, climb up. The engine pussed with a blower or something else. Then it was over. D The engine was never ice cold, but it was not yet at full operating temperature. And it was short distances with stop and go. I don’t have a heater. Can it be the additional heating or something that is so smelling? It was really limited to the area around the front wheel on the left and also very short. And the engine rushed, puffed (or so) a bit after the engine was switched off. When opening the moto, the engine was turned off. rhaube was nothing more to be seen. Was directly in a free workshop ( AUTO FIT ). They have looked. But everything dense, no oil outlet or similar visible. What can that be? Thank you !! Greeting !!
