  • Has anyone had experience with D5 at high mileage?

Hello, so that we understand ourselves correctly, I don’t mean statements like in the threads of premium manufacturers a la “The XYZ has no defects, I already have 12,000km on it and no problems!!!!!” I would be interested if already one with the D5 has done more than, say, 150Tkm and what his/her experiences about the engine are. Hidden costs, special features, equal/decreasing power/consumption, repairs etc. The engine is finally new and there are no experiences yet. The prices at mobile.de are at any rate very high. Around 18T for a D5 with 150-180Tkm. =8-o Rapace

  • Yesterday for the first time the SH turned on again

    26. August 2006, Überlingen am Bodensee, 21 o’clock it rains. Temperature: 13 degrees Celsius. My son (6 years) managed to soak his shoes, his pants, his jacket completely. Lightly blue lip discoloration (if the mother sees it). Junior put in the car. I remember that I still have a SH. And I always thought that the stupid thing in the manual operation is powerfully smokes and smells and makes neat noises (very much to my amusement and the horror of the neighboring Golf Plus driver), but I always had the problem that the blower in the manual operation runs only a few minutes and afterwards no warm air flows into the car. What makes Papi with the meanwhile no longer approachable child: SH manual start, wait 30 seconds, it rises smoke, it stinks after burnt diesel, the turbine starts to run again, blows manually. What makes Papi with the meanwhile no longer approachable start, wait 30 seconds, it goes on, it smells again after burning diesel, but it still has to say that I have not been able to do it manually.

  • V8 Ruby red: tomorrow eats so far!

I just spoke to my dealer on the phone: the ruby red jewel is on the yard and will be admitted tomorrow morning – 3 p.m. to pick up! After I only know the color of photos and didn’t see a single XC90 in this chic color on the streets, I’m curious what it looks like in the original. And let’s see if I discover anything special at MY 2006… oh, so many questions How many hours are it again until 3 p.m. tomorrow? *drums with my fingers on the desk plate* Happy greetings, Patrick

  • EXE MY07 is here!!!! (Photos)

My esteemed community! After months of anticipation and waiting, it was finally time yesterday. Our car was delivered and we are more than satisfied with our decision for the XC90, both in terms of color choice and model. First of all, it is my wife’s car and my other two beautiful young ladies (5 & 8, no wrong thoughts!), so that I LEIDER will not enjoy it so often – with my Cooper S I can take it almost down through the next week on holiday to South Tyrol and to unlock the SH to Bolzano – hope that this also works at the 07er? Here are a few mobile snapshots from yesterday afternoon. Well-launed greetings from Vienna!

  • V70 MJ 2007 no more cover for AHK!!!??

But for my new one, I have ordered a removable Ahk and since it belongs to the accessories, this is only the dealer on the spot. The ugly thing about this thing is that this (also deletant solution) plastic cap no longer exists and you have to drive now with the open Wirrwar down there. Such a mature car with such an amateurish result. Anyway, volvo got an input from me and here comes the answer: thank you for your friendly email from August 02, 2006 to the customer support of the Volvo Car Germany GmbH. The shock catcher outside of the Volvo V70 has been changed in your form to the model year 2005, which means that the shock catchers before model year 2005 were visually slightly different. To model year 2005 also has changed the for our models to be used, removable trailer hoist device. The up to then used trailer coupling incl. cover is not used very much to our knowledge and is no longer available to you. The combination of Volvo V70 before MJ 2005 with the new detachable trailer coupling MJ 2005 shows unfortunately the difficulty of having a corresponding cover for the removal head and not to be used.

  • V70 D5 too slow

Hello, I’ve had a V70 D5 (185 hp, manual transmission, 17″ standard tyres) for 4 weeks. During the test drive, the car had about 13,000 km (show car) and was difficult to move to 200 km/h. The dealer said that this was due to the soot particle filter because it was probably a lot of short distance traffic on the road, if I will soon drive a lot of highway this will soon occur. Meanwhile, I drove about 3000 km mainly on the highway and come on straight track just at 210 km/h (approx. 3700 rpm). Downhill it is about 220 km/h. Switching off the air conditioning and folding the mirror hardly brings anything. It is entered at 225 km/h and at the usual speedometer anticipation should be about 230 – 240 km/h. Otherwise, also the subjective impression compared to my old V70 TDI is not exactly as if the new one had 45 hp and more than 100 Nm more. But this is only subjective and my age is damned well gone. What can be done about it?

  • Questions about the S80…

Hello, So we’re also thinking about buying a S80, which is why I have a few questions: 1) Does the S80 petrol engine have the Euro3 or Euro4 standard? 2) How much liters are the 2.0T/180PS versions on average? 3) Could you mount the facelift rear lights + front with an S80 MJ.01? 4) What is the difference between the sound systems “HU-601 RDS” and “HU-801 RDS”? 5) Could you install the instrument cluster from the T6/Facelift into a normal S80? 6) How expensive are the inspections? On Mercedes level? and for the time being the last question: Are 16.90€ for an S80 2.0T, which ran 55,000 km, built in 05/2001, leather, Navi RTI and a Webasto stand heater is in order? Or could you still do a bit (financing) at the price? So, these are many questions, but I hope you can answer at least a part of it. MfG Juggy D

  • Experience with tuning box D from MR-Sweden

Hello someone has already had experience with the tuning box of MR-Sweden, here in the forum I read almost always only HEICO for the performance increase. I find at MR the simple handling very nice. Here is the description: For S60/V70-2/S80 Turbodiesel Common-Rail (from year 2001). From 120kW/163PS to 141kW/192PS, torque increase to 395Nm from 1.750U/min. Delivery is included with high performance sports air filters. All necessary connection cables for easy installation are also included! Here are the most important advantages for you: – Ultra-light installation in the shortest time by fast adaptation technology, – laneless feedback possible, – No interference in the actual control gear, – consumption optimization and reduction despite performance increase, – Better driving performance and more safety in case of overtaking advance, – Mechanic permanent strength of the engine is not negatively affected, – More driving effort available thanks to more engine power and less fuel consumption – No duty, no duty duty, no duty!
