XC70 – AWD jerks, no four wheel on DSTC??
Hello forum! I had completely new experiences in the snow the days with my XC70 – is that normal? With switched off DSTC I want a steep climb up (snow depth approx. 20cm). If I want to really run through it and the traction decreases the car starts to stutter. Certainly as if the brakes on all four wheels “Rückelsig” intervene, the whole car shakes it through there…??? Furthermore, I have the phenomenon that it affects me on mountains with snow covered road and The front wheels go crazy, the rear wheels don’t go along. Only when I press reset and the DSTC kicks out it takes a second and it snaps in the Haldex and I also have traction at the rear. Summer – stand ventilation XC90 ! ?
So now I want to finally start the project summer lie on the XC90. Since this unfortunately does not work as standard, the “Bastler” has to answer again. Who knows my projects, knows that I switch on the stand heating in the XC90 in winter with my GSM switch. Thus, it is possible to use this also for the summer ventilation. In winter I had already provided the contacts, cables and switches. The problem is to blow the hot air out of the car. Unfortunately this does not work with the serial blower That’s why I want to build 12 volt fans into the exhaust openings of the car to suck the warm air out of the car. I want to install two suitable PC fans (good Pope fans) into these outlet channels. The fans have up to 4 watts together and thus do not suck the battery empty even at an hour’s run. My concern is that the air of course also has to flow back in from the outside. I wanted to switch off the circulating air function first. Thus, air must flow in from the outside. the two fans will be able to significantly lower the temperature in the car? At the moment I haven’t started and I want to hear your opinion first. All parts are ready. First a few pictures are available. You can see the outlet channels on the left and right. The extended channel with a fan (both channels are not the same size and therefore require different fans). However, the channels still have to be sealed. Plug in the trunk
Help! With my V70 year 2003 the tank cover lock does not work, the lock has been removed and tested it works. Now there are two plugs in the trunk of the spare wheel, one is not used and with the other there are loud white cables coming from the direction of the fuse box, where with me 2 cables are loose, now I suspect it is the cables for the tank cover, but do not know where to plug them. Hello together! Just got me a very nice S60 2,4 with 125kw. The vehicle has run almost 65000 km and is from 06/01. Now after a few days ride various questions have accumulated. A few questions may sound funny, but it is now my first Volvo, have changed from Audi. To the engine: Is the possibility to train the engine after this mileage still a little ́spritzigkeit ́? The car comes from a big city and seems since long time Zei t not to have been moved faster than 120 km/h… I also plan the installation of an LPG car gas system. Can anyone write me a report on this engine or give me a manufacturer’s recommendation? Have already got an offer for a Prinz system available. The whole should cost 2600 euros. Nervous little things 🙂 After 10 m drive or after about 3 minutes of service life all doors close. Can you switch off??? Nervt quite! XC 90: track adjustment after full braking
already 2 weeks after I had taken over my new XC90 D5 (MY07), I noticed that after a strong braking process (brake assistant also grabbed) the steering wheel was slanted and the car pulled to the right. my tyre owner checked the tyres and adjusted the track. after 3 months, however, the same thing again: full braking, steering wheel no longer returns to the starting position (approx. 2 cm from the horizontal) and the car moves to the left. this time in the volvowerkstatt. resultat : ball joints are renewed i.e. exactly those parts that were changed a year ago in the frame of a recall call at the previous models and are allegedly no longer producing troubles at the my 07. have you made similar experiences ? has volvo the whole not in the grip ? my brake discs were changed after 20,000 km by the way, because the brake belaege were too hard. the grooves of an lp were harmless against the noise traces that the brake belaege on the had left slices…

Software update for Geartronic
Hello, at the moment it happens again and again that my gearbox does not switch clean (e.g. from the 2-speed to the 1-speed). Now I asked the dealer what a software update costs, so that the error can be fixed with this “small” measure. The costs amount to approx. 90-100€. Gas odour in LPG-V70?
Hello, since now 22tkm I am now on the road on car gas and very satisfied – especially when refueling (this morning again in Belgium for 43 ct/l). But since this afternoon something is different: the moose stood (fully fuelled) all day on the company parking lot. When I entered, I believed to detect light gas smell. However, only on the driver’s seat!? Neither in the trunk nor in the rear can a smell be detected. My wife also said that it smells “somehow different” but didn’t want to fix itself on gas. It was rebuilt by the Volvo specialist in the Westerwald, which does not exclude the dangers of mistakes, but minimizes them. What do you think? Don’t say goodbye to Volvo…
On the contrary, after 5 years of S60 D5 , which was for me the best car so far that I had, I will give myself a brand new XC90 shortly before Christmas . Today the order went out: XC90 5-seater Summum D5 Geartronic Magic Blue Metallic Inscription with toscana brown seats Felge Atlantis RTI-Navi 6-fold CD darkened discs back aluminum rideboards dirt catcher front and back delivery date KW51 …that means for me now impatient waiting for the new vehicle . But me n S60 is still fun for me. I did not have any technical problems with the car in the 5 years except for a clogged nozzle in the heater. I liked the D5 enormously. Sufficient power with low consumption (5,6 lt BC, 6,1 realistic). That the new with 185 hp is a little stronger than my age is of course compensated by the higher weight again.
