Meal! Wants to get rid of one thing that I have noticed many times in some Volvo models, namely the lack of creeping function (i.e. when you release the brake in D or R and the car crawls off). Most Volvo ́s I’ve driven so far (S80 D5 Aut., V70 2.5T AWD Aut., Volvo V70 D5 Aut. 2 times XC 90 D5 163PS Aut. etc.), the creeping function was very low. You had to solve the brake almost completely until it started and then only very slowly ( For most other automatic vehicles, you can get at least 10km/h on the level. On light mountains, the Volvo ́s are already not crawling and on middle mountains already rolled back (I don ́t know from my or other automatic vehicles at all). Especially bad was the V70 2.5T AWD Aut. (EZ.03). The first time I drove down with the one from a gas station, got into after refueling, went on drive, loosened the brake (tiny climb) and nothing happened. I had already done. But both were not the case. Especially the 163hp XC 90s were not much better, the 180hp XC 90 of my grandma crawls a bit stronger. The S80 D5 Aut. (Ez. 03) was the best, but also not comparable to many other AT-vehicles. Is this what Volvo wants, what is it like with you? I want to buy a Volvo, probably S80 2.9/T6. But if the creep function is such for ́n Popo i st, that would be an argument for me not to take the car. I want to park comfortably only with the foot on the brake and at least 80% of all mountains comfortably without rolling back. For me these are almost the most important automatic arguments. Thank you MFG Markus

V70D5: DPF retrofit
Hello together, think about having my V70D5 AWD – MY05 with DPF retrofitted soon. Main reason is a possible better value with later resale as well as threatening driving bans for “filterless” here in Ö with fine dust limit value exceeded. Have already been looking for a bit in MT, but I get real experience values – regarding: 1.) More consumption 2.) Impact on driving performance 3.) Compatibility with Chiptuning 4.) Other: durability, sound, ..usw. For your reports would be I thank you very much. Greetings, D5AWD

XC90: Dynaudio premium sound astonished
Hello, after I had the system with ProLogic II in the predecessor XC90, I did not spare any costs to get the Dynaudio-Premium sound system. This wish (and a few more small things) led to the order from the Exec. The speakers, at least in the front, are really great. I am very satisfied with some adjustment over the equalizer at the front. But now my problem comes: While I was sitting in the “sound room” in the 2003-XC90 with ProLogicII setting (fader neutral), i.e. I can hear the music from the left, the center and the right, as well as the music from the back. In the same setting, I can only hear the music from the front. When trying faders all the way to the front or all the way to the back, there is a significant difference in the volume. (loud in the front, quiet in the back) Now my question to other Dynaudio owners: Do you also have this feeling? Can it be that by the other sitting position of the 2nd row in the 7-seater than in the 5-seater, the speakers can be It can hardly lie on the ears, as I hear enough in the front. Mine finds the sound, probably in consequence too little experience with the Dynaudio system in order… For experiences and information I am grateful. Greetings Langer02

(provisional) balance sheet XC90
Hello, here my (provisional) final report on the topic XC90 (XC90 2.5T after 70,000km and 36 months): + Super long-haul vehicle + Comfortable seats + Variable interior + Low noise level in the interior + 2.5T engine (despite consumption) + Genuine family vehicle + Space (as opposed to Touareg & Co) + This forum – Consumption – Xenon light with poor light output – Crunching and crackling of the sliding roof – Rappling of the belt suspension – Rosing wheel nuts – Crash noise from the r Steering column – Defective wheel bearings – Scheppering wheel suspension front Since the “-” points are all flaws that appear here again and again in the forum, I really wonder why Volvo can’t finally put these things off All in all a super vehicle. The separation we find difficult…(Sniff..) Gruss Nusso

Is there a limosine for 5 people?
Hello! I’m currently driving an XC90 D5 and since the new S80 has come on the market I’m looking forward to it. Since I have 3 children at the age of 4-6-8 I need of course proper space on the back bench. Since I would like to drive a limosine again I thought I’d look at the new S80, but when looking at it more closely I quickly realized that for the legs on the middle place on the back bench is simply not a place. the question – are there actually sodas (also other manufacturers) in which 5 people have pleasant space? Thanks Michael

Third row of seats XC90
moin, moin, although I have already had the xc90 as seven-seater, I have one question. if I read the values over the third row of seats at bmw, mercedes and audi, you can see the restriction on people up to 160 cm. is there this restriction also for the xc90? or can I also torture 190 cm “zweerge” on the seats? if I choose the inscription leather and take the seven-seater, how are the seats in the third row covered? normal leather or also description? sven, which can remember no size limitation at xc90.

Residual exchange – Regeneration accident and then my first moose left me
Hello together, the day before yesterday a Corsa crashed at me with almost 100, I stood and wanted to bend into a parking lot. The Corsa driver had hugely tight, unseated, both airbags went up, only the knee blue. I had “only” a slight hws misposition, more or less a hard muscle-cough. Narrow were the 4 hours in the hospital. My car, Bj 2002, Premium, Leather, Navi, SHD, Phone, SH, actually everything except Xenon has a replacement value of 18. 000,-. The damage is estimated 9000,- Euro. Now the car is probably in a residual value exchange. Do I actually have to sell the car then via the residual value exchange or can I do with it what I want? Can I see for myself into the residual value exchange, what is offered for my car? Mainly, no personal damage. But still I don’t understand this with the residual value exchange, say, what does the own value exchange bring? Sure, it should prevent Schindluder, but in reality it does not bring wirkli What do you think?

Nice used car offers
Since recently the “Volvo newcomer needs help when making a purchase decision” threads only grow out of the ground, I thought you could turn the spear around. So it might also be interesting for the old-established Volvisti. You simply post used car offers out of the net, which you think is unbeatablely cheap or very rare. Thus maybe nice discussions develop and the one or the other, who looks in here, finds perhaps so his dream Volvo. Un d Volvo newcomers know immediately what matters with good used Volvos. Then I’ll start right away. Not that I’m looking for, but sometimes you can look out for curiosity about what the current used car market is doing. So I just came across this nice offer: Link Actually, an inner voice tells me that you shouldn’t buy a car there (I’m not anti-foreigner, have only had bad experiences). The dealer seems jedoc h to be clean, is after all since 2004 at mobile.de and has a “team”. Oho… I like the car, however, quite magnificent. If no defects have been kept secret, I declare this price for this car as unbeatable. What do you mean? Have fun! Greeting, Exxon – which it itches again in the fingers after 2 years S60.

Heating: temperature of the controller does not correspond to actual temperature
On my first longer journeys over Easter, where it was quite cold, I also tried the heating. I tried the automatic air conditioning, AC on On. I set the temperature regulator to 21,5 degrees. The air from the central nozzles was cooler. No noticeable heating effect. Slowly I regulated the temperature upwards. Up to 23 degrees nothing changed noticeably. Only from 23,5 – 24 degrees the air temperature was warm. Is this a “normal” behavior or a known phenomenon with best immter cause? Are there still possibilities in the regulation so that the warm air adjusts earlier? Have already tried the SuFu but found nothing appropriate.

Volvo Combi with maximum trailer load?
Moin, I’m slowly looking for a successor for my current BMW. Since I also like Volvo, I want to look here too, especially I like the XC models, as well as at Audie the older all-road vehicles. But with Volvo is always at 1700kg trailer load close, or am I mistaken? Real off-road car I don’t want to but since I also pull horse hangers are 2000kg+ already the goal! Is there anything here in the Volvo shelf? Greeting Heiko
