Have all competitors revolutionized the art of diesel construction in the past 5 years? I ask myself this also because 5 years in the time scale of the engine construction are actually not a long time. I originally assumed that the D5 would be a good idea. Preheated “decomposed”?
Hello dear municipality, today I had already been looking forward to my heater (in the 2,4D-Holland-free circuit). Unfortunately the car was completely frozen and I had to scratch. I tried to activate the heater by “Ein” when scratching, but nothing happened. The heater did give a few noises of itself. But it didn’t really jump…:-( It smelled very much like diesel. V70 2.4T too slow?
Hello! I’ve been a Volvo driver since June and actually quite satisfied. Have a V70 2.4T automatic from 2000, so one of the first. I’ve tried to drive the boy on free motorways a few times, but it just doesn’t work. I read here in the forum that other people with the same engine/gear combination get 240 and more on the speedometer. I can’t do that at all, from 200 it gets tougher and at 220 (or if you look closely maybe 222) i No matter whether alone or three in the car, tank full or (almost) empty, climate on or off. When I got the car, I changed oil, candles, air filters – so it can or should not be. Can someone tell me if I just got a lower power limit engine during the scattering, or if I should do a troubleshooting? Is also not particularly loud – therefore I would damage the exhaust system (which in the case of the Turbo is the Min It’s from MM, but doesn’t know if it’s already changed. Maybe someone can reassure me that everything is OK. Or someone has a mistake idea, I’m grateful for everything. Greeting Matze

Hey people I’m looking for a comfortable travel limousine and there have now discovered the S80. Buy decision-making aid or not?
Hello, it is about Volvo V70II D5 Edition Sport, 136kw,Bj.2006,(80.000KM),Checkheftgepfl.,Leder,Standh.BiXenon,8xTires etc. Price 15,800€ Private. I would like to make a short time..have after a few phone calls with the seller now Saturday viewing date. At the first phone call and on demand for accident car, I was told that the car had a tear damage from the neighboring fence. On push there were now today the invoice and pictures of the damage.(shock) Exchanged parts: front door(VR) + Back door(HR) and side part (HR) but everything with Volvo. Uff…9300€ Damage doesn’t sound like fence, does it? I’m just not sure what to do, actually everything is done by Volvo and the mileage etc. is also ok. Well, would you still buy such a car for the money?? Please look at the pictures.

Turbocharger 1999 S80 T6 Switch inside ?
Hello, I have a problem with one of my turbos in my S80 T6. I consume about half a liter of oil on 1000 km and the way it looks it goes through the left (if you are standing in front of the hood open) turbo, as all the pipes behind this turbo are oiled from the inside. The question is how bad is it and how likely will it get worse within about 15000 km ? I will sell the car in April (have bought it here in the USA to get to university with it) u And doesn’t necessarily want to have to plug in a new turbocharger ! A workshop where I am always meant to change oil, that one could possibly change the inside of the turbo or only the seals that seal the rotor ? Anyway he knows that it is possible with Saab, he could not tell me from Volvo … Google I also asked properly .. but I found nothing really … Do you have a suggestion or an idea how you would handle it ? Can you change something ? I’ve been driving for 1500 miles now and nothing happened.. I don’t want to stay somewhere with a shot-in-the-mill turbo on the other side either.. Residual heat for XC 90 D5
Hello colleagues! When I was waiting for my wife for a good quarter of an hour at minus 3 degrees, I thought of the chic residual heat usage that our elks offer…My SH is activated and funnels perfectly, but the residual heat option is not Lt elchwiki for the D5 with 185 hp, but it doesn’t stand for diesel or gasoline; and the Volvo accessory list doesn’t exist either. Does that mean that in similar starting situations, I have to say that I am not looking for diesel or petrol. I don’t think it’s reasonable to put a down blanket in the trunk…because I don’t think it’s acceptable to run the engine. lG Richard

Questions about the new moose (V70 / P26 / 170 Tkm)
Since yesterday we have a V70 (P26 – 10/2000) next to our 745 (B230F/360 TKm). The following points would interest me: 1. Sums after opening the driver’s door If you open the driver’s door (other doors I haven’t tested yet) without doing anything else, then you hear from the center console a quiet suming (similar to a fan). The suming ends after approx. 45 sec. after hearing a clapping (relais). Is the suming normal? For what is this? 2. Alarm system I The Al I tested the arm system yesterday after the description in the operating manual. It works in such a way that e.g. after pocket claw from the closed car the turn signals and the LED on the dashboard light up in a short interval. However, I miss a siren (as it is indicated in the operating manual). On an older order (05/2009) I saw a note “alarm system releases temporarily without reason” 3. Alarm system II seller had at the test drive Pro bleme when starting the Volvo, which has been logged off for 4 weeks. However, he had a new battery installed at Volvo in January/February (note on the bill: “Battery variant installed on customer request” – 520A 100min). After yesterday I made some attempts with the remote control and the electr. functions like FH, electr. ASP, suddenly the 2 FB no longer went. Only via the key lockable / unlockable. I then charged the battery and then the FB went again. Overnight the alarm system was active and this afternoon the FB did not go again. Battery voltage 12.6 volts Does anyone have an idea? S80 T6 – capital gear damage!
87000 km he had on it my Volvo S80 T6 Bj 1998 when I picked him up on Monday from the dealer good in shot, no rust, no bumps, and just good to drive. On Thursday I wanted to do a nice extended weekend with a few friends and when I had to stay there on the descent, white a snake had formed it all at once was rien ne va plus – nothing works anymore. Grade still “N” and “P” I could put in the other autmoatic positions “R” and d “D” and the Geartronic switch lane he still switched, but the engine only stirred the oil in the converter until it sank. Does anyone know how Volvo behaves on this matter? I mean, 87000 km, what is that!? A transmission should be the last thing that breaks on a car, and not before you have to change the brake discs for the first time! Someone experiences if a gear specialist can do what and if something like that is permanent? I can of course also simply m the dealer suggested, but I want to dare, otherwise I wouldn’t have bought it!

Engine oil for D5
What is the exact designation of the Castrol 0w30 engine oil with Volvo release? SLX or EDGE? Didn’t find anything in the SuFu. And: Is this an embarrassing situation when you bring your engine oil yourself for inspection? Before I do that, I will put the WS before the choice: either to calculate a decent price for the engine oil or it will be brought by me. It simply can’t be that I pay EUR 25 per litre and in free trade I get it for a third. Even if you can afford such an XC90, it doesn’t mean that you can be ripped off like that.
